    The neglected pain : womens experience of livning with endometriosis

    Introduktion: Endometrios Ă€r en vanlig förekommande, ofta dold, gynekologisk sjukdom som 5-15% av vĂ€rldens kvinnor lider av. Sjukdomen yttrar sig i form av symtom som smĂ€rta, infertilitet, trötthet, depression, mag- och tarmbesvĂ€r med mera. Sjuksköterskans roll Ă€r att frĂ€mja hĂ€lsa utifrĂ„n ett helhetsperspektiv. Syfte: Att belysa kvinnors upplevelse av att leva med endometrios. Metod: Utformas enlig Polit och Beck’s (2012) niostegsmodell för litteraturstudier. TvĂ„ databaser genomsöktes i databassökningen och resultatet grundades pĂ„ 12 artiklar som genomgĂ„tt urval och kvalitetsgranskning. Resultat: 4 teman identifierades i resultatet: ”Inte bara vanlig mensvĂ€rk – vardagen med endometrios”, ”Att inte bli tagen pĂ„ allvar”, ”KĂ€nslan av otillrĂ€cklighet och oro” och ”Att ta kontrollen”. Slutsats: Kvinnorna som lider av endometrios upplever att sjukdomen har negativ inverkan pĂ„ alla aspekter av deras liv och att de saknar stöd och hjĂ€lp med hantering av sjukdomen frĂ„n vĂ„rden, men ocksĂ„ av familj och vĂ€nner

    <p>Each participant’s score is represented by a circle. The scores were t[<a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0115562#pone.0115562.ref001" target="_blank">1</a>] values on the component predictive of diagnostic group. The vast majority (97%) of the participants were within a ±2 standard deviation limit according to Hotelling’s T<sup>2</sup>. Positive values represent better overall performance.</p
