Combinatory Examples Extraction for Machine Translation

One of the bottlenecks of example-based machine translation (EBMT) is to be able to amass automatically quantities of good examples. In our work in EBMT, we are investigating how far one can go by performing example extraction from parallel corpora using Probabilistic Translation Dictionaries to obtain example segmentation points. In fact, the success of EBMT highly depends on examples quality and quantity, but also in their length. Thus, we give special importance on methods to extract different size examples from the same translation unit. A framework for modular and customizable software analysis

This paper presents a framework for the analysis of software artifacts. We revise and propose techniques that aid in the manipulation and combination of target-language specific tools, and in handling and controlling the results of such tools. We also propose to integrate under our framework techniques that are capable of performing language independent analyses. The final result of our work is an analysis environment that is modular and flexible and that allows easy and elegant implementations of complex analysis suites. IoT lysimeter system with enhanced data security

Diverse sources of data related to precision agriculture may be acquired with devices using an IoT architecture. Lysimeters are used to measure the amount of actual evapotranspiration released by plants, which is an important parameter for agriculture. New proposals of lysimeters extend the capabilities of these devices taking advantage of modern electronics, sensors, Internet, and computing devices. The paper presents an IoT based experimental lysimeter system implementation with enhanced data acquisition features. Some data is stored using a blockchain technology approach. The blocks are generated using an edge computing device. The special Linux operating system version for this device implements a trusted execution environment (OP-TEE). The paper describes the architecture of the system, the hardware implementation, and the data acquisition and blockchain software for the critical data generated by the smart lysimeter system, at the edge computing level
