    Spectrophotometric determination of the deltamethrin

    In the province of Corrientes is found highest production of indoor plants from all Argentina, specially in the northeast of this province. This is because the low frequency orthelack of frosts, allowing a lower cost in the production, since heating is not needed. In this type of cultive is commonly used thedeltamethrin, as the result of this, the validation of a simple method comparable with the gas chromatography for the determination of this Pesticide on both, irrigation and consumption water, was studied. In this work, a spectrophotometric method is proposed for the determination of deltamethrin inirrigation water from the area of flower crops located in the Department of Concepción in the province of Corrientes. Deltamethrin solutions in a range from 0,025 to 1 mg/L on irrigation water were prepared. The absorbance spectrum was scanned between 200 and 400 nm. The maximum absorbance was found at 220 nm. A calibration curve in the range from 0.025 to 1 mg/L, responded to A = (0.3246± 0.0224) C + (0.0096 ± 0.0068) with R2 = 0.998. The % RSD was 0.961 indicating good repeatability for the analytical procedure. The accuracy in the recovery experience was 99.0 - 109.6%. The statistical comparison using the t-test and the F-test indicates that there are no significant differences between GC and spectrophotometric methods, with a confidence level of 95%.     RGMa and RGMb expression pattern during chicken development suggest unexpected roles for these repulsive guidance molecules in notochord formation, somitogenesis, and myogenesis

    Background: Repulsive guidance molecules (RGM) are high-affinity ligands for the Netrin receptor Neogenin, and they are crucial for nervous system development including neural tube closure; neuronal and neural crest cell differentiation and axon guidance. Recent studies implicated RGM molecules in bone morphogenetic protein signaling, which regulates a variety of developmental processes. Moreover, a role for RGMc in iron metabolism has been established. This suggests that RGM molecules may play important roles in non-neural tissues. Results: To explore which tissues and processed may be regulated by RGM molecules, we systematically investigated the expression of RGMa and RGMb, the only RGM molecules currently known for avians, in the chicken embryo. Conclusions: Our study suggests so far unknown roles of RGM molecules in notochord, somite and skeletal muscle development. Developmental Dynamics, 2012.     On the global uniqueness for the Einstein-Maxwell-scalar field system with a cosmological constant. Part 3: Mass inflation and extendibility of the solutions

    This paper is the third part of a trilogy dedicated to the following problem: given spherically symmetric characteristic initial data for the Einstein-Maxwell-scalar field system with a cosmological constant Λ\Lambda, with the data on the outgoing initial null hypersurface given by a subextremal Reissner-Nordstrom black hole event horizon, study the future extendibility of the corresponding maximal globally hyperbolic development as a "suitably regular" Lorentzian manifold. In the first part of this series we established the well posedness of the characteristic problem, whereas in the second part we studied the stability of the radius function at the Cauchy horizon. In this third and final paper we show that, depending on the decay rate of the initial data, mass inflation may or may not occur. When the mass is controlled, it is possible to obtain continuous extensions of the metric across the Cauchy horizon with square integrable Christoffel symbols. Under slightly stronger conditions, we can bound the gradient of the scalar field. This allows the construction of (non-isometric) extensions of the maximal development which are classical solutions of the Einstein equations.     For any inelastic process vℓ+I→ℓ−+Fv_{\ell} + I \to \ell^- + F with mℓ=0m_{\ell} = 0, the cross section at θℓ=0\theta_{\ell} = 0 is given by Adler's PCAC theorem. Inclusion of the lepton mass has a dynamical effect (``PCAC-screening'') caused by interference of spin-zero (π+\pi^+) and spin-one exchanges.     This paper is the second part of a trilogy dedicated to the following problem: given spherically symmetric characteristic initial data for the Einstein-Maxwell-scalar field system with a cosmological constant Λ\Lambda, with the data on the outgoing initial null hypersurface given by a subextremal Reissner-Nordstrom black hole event horizon, study the future extendibility of the corresponding maximal globally hyperbolic development as a "suitably regular" Lorentzian manifold. In the first paper of this sequence, we established well posedness of the characteristic problem with general initial data. In this second paper, we generalize the results of Dafermos on the stability of the radius function at the Cauchy horizon by including a cosmological constant. This requires a considerable deviation from the strategy followed by Dafermos, focusing on the level sets of the radius function instead of the red-shift and blue-shift regions. We also present new results on the global structure of the solution when the free data is not identically zero in a neighborhood of the origin.     Slide-Down Prevention for Wheeled Mobile Robots on Slopes

    Wheeled mobile robots on inclined terrain can slide down due to loss of traction and gravity. This type of instability, which is different from tip-over, can provoke uncontrolled motion or get the vehicle stuck. This paper proposes slide-down prevention by real-time computation of a straightforward stability margin for a given ground-wheel friction coefficient. This margin is applied to the case study of Lazaro, a hybrid skid-steer mobile robot with caster-leg mechanism that allows tests with four or five wheel contact points.
