Exploring the INTEGRAL sources in search for new microquasars

    Get PDF
Here we present a search for new microquasars among the sources detected with the INTEGRAL satellite (IGR sources). We focus on radio emitting IGR sources and report the discovery of two new probable extragalactic sources behind the galactic plane, as well as the detection at higher energies of the ASCA source AX J1639.0-4642, probably a new microquasar in the Galaxy and coincident with a high-energy gamma-ray emitting EGRET source.Fil: Ribó, Marc. Treball Final de Grau en Finances i Comptabilitat. Codi: FC1049. Curs acadèmic: 2016/2017The objective of the paper is remembering the existing aggregate macro-models, explain price inflation, present the problems that may arise in aggregate models and carry out a study to understand the breakdown of price inflation in Spain in the last 15 years. In order to do that first we’re going to describe the article that will be our starting point to carry out the paper and also the meaning of the different named concepts. The macro-economic problems generated by aggregation in economy will be presented. Moreover, an economic study about price evolution will be carried out, in order to better understand the breakdown of annual headline inflation. After the study will be carried out one can better observe the differences and similarities of the American case. In the Spanish case the good that increased its price the most were cigarettes, that is, they have increased or decreased necessary goods as well as leisure ones. However, in the American case, only the necessary ones increased

Editorial: Social, technological and health innovation: Opportunities and limitations for social policy, health policy, and environmental policy

Innovation is progressively needed in responding to global challenges. Moreover, the increasing complexity of challenges implies demand for the usage of multisectoral and policy mix approaches. Wicked problems can be tackled by "integrated innovation" that combines the coordinated implementation of social, technological, and health innovation co-created by entities of the public sector, the private sector, the non-governmental sector, and the informal sector. This Research Topic focuses on filling the knowledge gaps about the selected types of innovation. First, regarding social innovation that can be understood as new strategies, concepts, products, services, and organizational forms that allow the satisfaction of human needs. Second, a technological innovation that refers to new or remarkably improved products, goods, or services in terms of their technical specifications, components, materials, software, design, or other functional features. Third, health innovation that focuses on novel or enhanced health policies, systems, products, technologies, services, and care delivery schemes to improve people's health. Finally, this Research Topic highlights attempts to develop integrated innovation that can add value to social policy, health policy, and environmental policy by improving efficiency, effectiveness, quality, sustainability, safety, and affordability

Building a Connection Between Decision Maker and Data-Driven Decision Process

It is quite common that most of companies’ decisions are made based on feelings, intuitions or personal experiences. The reasons for such patterns have organizational, technical and process oriented backgrounds. For instance, there is no structured way to deal with the analytical results on both sides simultaneously – organizational and technical. Usually, in case of analytics the ones doing analysis (e.g. data scientists) and the ones using results of analytics (e.g. decision makers) are different persons. As a result, such a structure leads to ambiguity and misunderstanding between the involved parties. In order to bridge the existing gap between data scientists and decision makers, we introduced the Data Product Profile which links both data science and data-driven decision processes
