User involvement in Swedish residential building projects: a stakeholder perspective

One factor influencing quality in the building industry is the ability of users, such as residents, to identify and express their requirements for the product, i.e. the residential building. However, the handling of communication with users in building projects has been insufficiently specified and studied. Drawing on a study of user involvement in building project design, production, and management, this paper examines user involvement in Swedish residential projects. To map current perceptions and approaches, building industry actors met in four focus groups. Group participants were asked to reflect on the definition of users, communication handling, how information from users is used, and challenges and opportunities in user involvement. Our initial emphasis was front-end activities, but focus group results revealed that user involvement was a continuous process extending from project initiation to evaluating the finished project as a basis for future projects. Discussions indicated confusion about who constituted users in various situations but, regardless of level of experience, focus group participants agreed on the importance and potential of user involvement and on the need for specific methods to acquire useful input

Kulturstyrning i en mekanistisk organisation : En fallstudie på Gröna Lund

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur kulturstyrning yttrar sig i en mekanistisk organisation samt att ge en djupare förståelse kring hur det används och hur den eventuella kulturstyrningen uppfattas av anställda inom organisationen. Resultatet utgörs av data från kvalitativa intervjuer samt granskning av interna dokument som satts i förhållande till definitionen att kultur blir ett styrmedel först när det används för att kontrollera beteenden. För att utföra studien samt tolka resultatet användes en teorimodell vars huvudfokus låg vid värde-, symbol- och klanbaserad styrning. Resultatet av studien visade att trots viss bristande kommunikation från ledningen till de längst ner i organisationen så utgjorde organisationens värdegrund basen för regler och beteendemönster. Även om en del av respondenterna inte kände till värdegrunden och dess innehåll så förmedlades trots detta en tydlig bild av vad som förväntades av den anställde

Les journées annuelles de l'école doctorale d'archéologie de l'université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne ont, comme leur publication dans Archéo.Doct, pris leur rythme de croisière : elles ne s'engluent pas pour autant dans la routine ni la technicité. Le thème retenu pour cette quatrième livraison d'Archéo.Doct, les marqueurs du pouvoir, est de ceux qui peuvent fédérer les jeunes archéologues des horizons et spécialités les plus divers et conférer à leurs données et leurs réflexions un vif attrait pour leurs lecteurs non archéologues. À l'instar des autres disciplines des sciences humaines et sociales, mais avec ses outils propres, des outils au sens propre, l'archéologie scrute en effet les sphères sociales et politiques. Elle peut même contribuer de façon saisissante à mettre en lumière des facettes, voire des séquences constitutives, de ces compositions complexes, subtiles et changeantes qu'on nomme « le pouvoir ». À l'évidence, c'est l'archéologie funéraire d'une part, d'autre part l'étude de l'architecture – moyen ou manifestation du pouvoir en tant que tel ; expression du pouvoir dans la ville – qui fournissent les meilleurs angles d'approche, les données les plus nettes.
