Binary Nonlinearization of the Super Akns System Under an Implicit Symmetry Constraint

For the super AKNS system, an implicit symmetry constraint between the potentials and the eigenfunctions is proposed. After introducing some new variables to explicitly express potentials, the super AKNS system is decomposed into two compatible finite-dimensional super systems (x-part and tnt_n-part). Furthermore, we show that the obtained super systems are integrable super Hamiltonian systems in supersymmetry manifold R4N+22N+2\mathbb{R}^{4N+2|2N+2}.Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures, to appear in Journal of Physics

Characterizing and Subsetting Big Data Workloads

Big data benchmark suites must include a diversity of data and workloads to be useful in fairly evaluating big data systems and architectures. However, using truly comprehensive benchmarks poses great challenges for the architecture community. First, we need to thoroughly understand the behaviors of a variety of workloads. Second, our usual simulation-based research methods become prohibitively expensive for big data. As big data is an emerging field, more and more software stacks are being proposed to facilitate the development of big data applications, which aggravates hese challenges. In this paper, we first use Principle Component Analysis (PCA) to identify the most important characteristics from 45 metrics to characterize big data workloads from BigDataBench, a comprehensive big data benchmark suite. Second, we apply a clustering technique to the principle components obtained from the PCA to investigate the similarity among big data workloads, and we verify the importance of including different software stacks for big data benchmarking. Third, we select seven representative big data workloads by removing redundant ones and release the BigDataBench simulation version, which is publicly available from http://prof.ict.ac.cn/BigDataBench/simulatorversion/.Comment: 11 pages, 6 figures, 2014 IEEE International Symposium on Workload Characterizatio

Starting from a matrix Lie superalgebra, two-component super AKNS system is constructed. By making use of monononlinearization technique of Lax pairs, we find that the obtained two-component super AKNS system is a finite-dimensional integrable super Hamiltonian system. And its Lax representation and r-matrix are also given in this paper

Microwave Diagnostics of Ultracold Neutral Plasma

We suggest an approach for using microwave radiation in diagnostics of ultracold neutral plasma. Microwave scattering from ultracold neutral plasma is calculated . Simple formulations are get and indicate that the dipole radiation power of ultracold neutral plasma does not depend on density profile ne(r)n_e(r) and ω\omega when ωωpe0\omega\gg\omega_{pe0}, but on the total electron number NeN_e. This method provides the information of NeN_e and from which we can get the three body recombination rate of the plasma, which is extremely important in the researches of ultracold neutral plasma

Evaluating the impact of environmental education on ecologically friendly behavior of university students in pakistan: The roles of environmental responsibility and islamic values

    Get PDF
With increasing global environmental problems, considerable evidence now suggests that environmental education can influence students’ ecologically friendly behavior significantly. Addressing increased environmental problems requires better understanding of the relations between focused and explicit environmental education, environmental responsibility, and religious values. The current study examined the relationship between environmental education and ecologically friendly behavior, utilizing insights from resource conservation theory. The relationship between the variables mentioned above was examined to determine the mediating effect of environmental responsibility and the moderating effect of Islamic values. Through a cross-sectional approach, data were gathered from 413 university students. The data were analyzed using analytical techniques such as “structural equation modeling” and “PROCESS.” The study’s findings support the predicted conceptual model, indicating that environmental education was positively related to environmentally friendly behavior. Furthermore, environmental responsibility partially mediated the relationship above, whereas Islamic values positively moderated the relationships between environmental education and ecologically friendly behavior as well as between environmental education and environmental responsibility. These findings emphasize the critical role of environmental education and Islamic values in comprehending the ecological behaviors of Muslim students

A study of the tribological behaviour of TiO2 nano-additive water-based lubricants

A ball-on-disk tribometer was employed to evaluate the lubrication performance and mechanisms of innovative TiO2 nano-additive water-based lubricants. Two experimental methods were applied to determine the optimal mass fraction of TiO2. In the method I, lubricants were added onto the worn disk tracks at a predetermined time interval. In the method II, the disks were immersed in the lubricants continuously during the whole process of tribological tests. The results both indicate that the water-based lubricants can significantly reduce the coefficient of friction (COF). The 0.8 wt% TiO2 lubricant demonstrates excellent tribological properties including the lowest COF and the strongest wear resistance under all lubrication conditions. The lubrication mechanisms are attributed to the rolling and mending effects of the TiO2 nanoparticles
