    Consistency Testing for Data-Flow Circuits

    Get PDF
One means of making VLSI design tractable is to proceed from a high-level specification of a circuit in terms of functionality, to the circuit level. A notable error which may occur in a topdown design starting with a data-flow graph representation of a circuit is a design inconsistency due to deadlock. This paper attempts to further develop the theoretical basis for algorithms which analyze the deadlock property of circuits on the basis of their data-flow graph representations. A systematic scheme to verify the absence of deadlock in data-flow graphs is also presented

Some factors which cause criminal act in falsifying land certificates are as follows: the implementation of incorrect law, non-transparent legal enforcement, frail administrative system, the ignorance of the personnel of the National Land Board, people's lack of knowledge in law, judges' negligence in the hearing facts and evidence, the involvement of the military personnel in falsifying the certificates, and sanction stipulated in UUPA (Agrarian Law) is too lenient. Government Regulation No. 24/1997 on Land Registration and Article 52 of UUPA on criminal sanction state that perpetrators in land crime, as it is regulated in Article 19 of UUPA, is sentenced to 3 months and fined Rp 10.000, Law Enforcement for perpetrators who have falsified land certificates is regulated in Articles 263 to 266 of the penal code on criminal act of falsifying certificates and Articel 52 of UUPA on criminal sanction on Land Crime. in order to forestall, handle, and settle the conflict on land, old feudalistic, centralistic bureaucratic, authoritative, and repressive paradigm should be changed to populist, democratic, and decentralized paradigm and respect for human rights

Thermally latent water in a polymer matrix.

Possible phase transition of water in polymer-water systems has been understood (assumed) to be only either freezing/melting or nothing, without relation to whether the polymer was soluble in water or whether its water content was high or low. This general understanding of water structure has been structured on the basis of calorimetric analyses such as differential scanning calorimetry, DSC. DSC is one of the most frequently used methods to analyze the water structure in polymer-water systems because the data obtained are relatively easy to interpret. This easiness of interpretation, however, can be accepted only if based on the understanding stated above. Unexpectedly, results of the infrared spectroscopic analysis presented here completely denied the general understanding and provided definite evidence of the existence of all phase transitions among the three states of water in a polymer solid. Furthermore, the impossibility of detection of condensation, deposition, sublimation, and vaporization by calorimetric analysis was revealed

Crystal growth of ice Ih by revapor-deposition and diffusion suppression of monomolecular water in a polymer solid: spectroscopic observation of phase transition of water sorbed into solid polystyrene.

    Get PDF
Monomolecular water in a solid polymer, which has no effective hydrogen bonding sites, was revealed by temperature-variable Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy to be condensable and crystallizable. Ice Ih formed in the polymer matrix was grown by vapor deposition and was reduced by sublimation. Moreover, rapid cooling induced crystal growth by vapor deposition during heating (revapor-deposition). These results indicate the requirement of a change in the generally accepted understanding of the thermal responses of water in a polymer matrix and give rise to a problem for general interpretation of the category of water in a polymer matrix based on calorimetrical analysis at very low water contents

Emergent literacy: A reading support program for pre-schoolers’ successful phonological awareness in the home context

    Get PDF
On the basis of low phonological awareness, a child who was attending K-2 in a private preschool at the age of 5.8 years was the subject of a single-subject case study. The Peabody Pictionary Vocabulary Test (PPVT) and Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) were used to assess participants’ phonological awareness levels in the study. This exploratory study offers some evidence in support of encouraging early readers to learn phonological awareness in order to increase their reading proficiency and success in the bilingual local setting

Automated Single-Particle Reconstruction of Heterogeneous Inorganic Nanoparticles

    Get PDF
Single-particle reconstruction can be used to perform three-dimensional (3D) imaging of homogeneous populations of nano-sized objects, in particular viruses and proteins. Here, it is demonstrated that it can also be used to obtain 3D reconstructions of heterogeneous populations of inorganic nanoparticles. An automated acquisition scheme in a scanning transmission electron microscope is used to collect images of thousands of nanoparticles. Particle images are subsequently semi-automatically clustered in terms of their properties and separate 3D reconstructions are performed from selected particle image clusters. The result is a 3D dataset that is representative of the full population. The study demonstrates a methodology that allows 3D imaging and analysis of inorganic nanoparticles in a fully automated manner that is truly representative of large particle populations.Peer reviewe
