    Zameraním tejto bakalárskej práce je analýza a návrh elektronického obchodu pre zahraničnú firmu Madamedog, ktorej predmetom podnikania je predaj oblečenia a doplnkov pre domáce zvieratá. Cieľom firmy je pridanie slovenského elektronického obchodu do svojho portfólia, keďže má záujem o vstup na slovenský trh. Výstupom bude návrh, na základe ktorého bude možné vytvoriť funkčný elektronický obchod spĺňajúci požiadavky subjektu.The main focus of this thesis is the analysis and design of e-commerce for a foreign company called Madamedog., whose principal business is the sale of clothes and accessories for pets. The goal for the company is to add a Slovak electronic shop to its portfolio, since they have interest in entering the Slovak market. A functional e-commerce solution satisfying the requirements of the entity can be made using the output of this thesis.

    Fatty Acids Profile of Intramuscular Fat in Light Lambs Traditionally and Artificially Reared

    The quality of 40 carcasses of light lambs of the synthetic population of Slovak Dairy sheep from (a) artificial rearing (AR) and (b) traditional rearing (TR) was assessed on the basis of fatty acids profile of intramuscular fat (IMF). Lambs from AR in comparison with TR were of lower quality as assessed on the basis of fatty acids (FAs) profile. The content of conjugated linolic acid (CLA) in the fat of TR lambs was severalfold higher (0.749 vs. 0.193 g.100g-1 FAME, P<0.001) than in AR lambs. Similarly, the content of trans-vaccenic (TVA), á-linolenic (ALA), rumenic (RA), eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) was in TR lambs significantly higher (P<0.001) than in AR lambs (0.955 vs. 0.111; 0.715 vs. 0.251; 0.672 vs. 0.148; 0.352 vs. 0.061; 0.252 vs. 0.079 g.100g-1 FAME). In contrary, the content of linoleic acid (LA), the ratio of LA/ALA and n-6/n-3 in AR lambs was higher than in TR lambs (9.07 vs. 4.81 g.100 g-1 FAME; 39.11 vs. 6.80; 14.56 vs. 3.25, P<0.001). In TR lambs the content of n-3 PUFA and BCFA was significantly higher (P<0.001) than in AR lambs (2.08 vs. 0.84 and 1.95 vs. 0.45). The value of thrombogenic index was higher in AR lambs in comparison with TR lambs (1.44 vs. 1.31; P<0.05). Significant differences between FAs of IMF of ram lambs and ewe lambs were observed only in the case of arachidonic acid (P<0.05)

    ANALYSIS OF STATIC ANGLE OF REPOSE WITH RESPECT TO POWDER MATERIAL PROPERTIES

    This paper investigates the Angle of Repose (AoR) of powder materials with respect to their morphological and rheological properties. Glass beads, sand, flour and semolina of different particle sizes were used as the experimental materials. The investigated material was analysed with respect to particle shape and size. The rheological properties of the material were obtained by a shear cell test. The AoR was analysed in terms of cohesion, bulk density, particle size and circularity. More cohesive materials such as the flour samples exhibited the largest AoR &gt; 40°, indicating their poor flowability. Glass bead samples with a high circularity value had significantly lower AoR than the flour. The Angle of Internal Friction values were not dependent on those of the AoR. Using a dimensional analysis, a mathematical model was developed to determine the AoR values based on the material properties. By the application of this model, highly accurate calculation of the value of AoR is made possible

    Newly Synthesized Thymol Derivative and Its Effect on Colorectal Cancer Cells

    Thymol affects various types of tumor cell lines, including colorectal cancer cells. However, the hydrophobic properties of thymol prevent its wider use. Therefore, new derivatives (acetic acid thymol ester, thymol &beta;-D-glucoside) have been synthesized with respect to hydrophilic properties. The cytotoxic effect of the new derivatives on the colorectal cancer cell lines HT-29 and HCT-116 was assessed via MTT assay. The genotoxic effect was determined by comet assay and micronucleus analysis. ROS production was evaluated using ROS-Glo&trade; H2O2 Assay. We confirmed that one of the thymol derivatives (acetic acid thymol ester) has the potential to have a cyto/genotoxic effect on colorectal cancer cells, even at much lower (IC50~0.08 &mu;g/mL) concentrations than standard thymol (IC50~60 &mu;g/mL) after 24 h of treatment. On the other side, the genotoxic effect of the second studied derivative&mdash;thymol &beta;-D-glucoside was observed at a concentration of about 1000 &mu;g/mL. The antiproliferative effect of studied derivatives of thymol on the colorectal cancer cell lines was found to be both dose- and time-dependent at 100 h. Moreover, thymol derivative-treated cells did not show any significantly increased rate of micronuclei formation. New derivatives of thymol significantly increased ROS production too. The results confirmed that the effect of the derivative on tumor cells depends on its chemical structure, but further detailed research is needed. However, thymol and its derivatives have great potential in the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer, which remains one of the most common cancers in the world

    The Influence of Wet Granulation Parameters on the Compaction Behavior and Tablet Strength of a Hydralazine Powder Mixture

    The aim of this paper was to describe the influence of high-shear wet granulation process parameters on tablet tensile strength and compaction behavior of a powder mixture and granules containing hydralazine. The hydralazine powder mixture and eight types of granules were compacted into tablets and evaluated using the Heckel, Kawakita and Adams analyses. The granules were created using two types of granulation liquid (distilled water and aqueous solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone), at different impeller speeds (500 and 700 rpm) and with different wet massing times (without wet massing and for 2 min). Granulation resulted in improved compressibility, reduced dustiness and narrower particle-size distribution. A significant influence of wet massing time on parameters from the Kawakita and Adams analysis was found. Wet massing time had an equally significant effect on tablet tensile strength, regardless of the granulation liquid used. Granules formed with the same wet massing time showed the same trends in tabletability graphs. Tablets created using a single-tablet press (batch compaction) and an eccentric tablet press showed opposite values of tensile strength. Tablets from granules with a higher bulk density showed lower strength during batch compaction and, conversely, higher strength during eccentric tableting

    Separation of VOC Gaseous Mixtures Using an Adsorption–Desorption Device

    The aim of this work was to separate ethanol in an experimental adsorption–desorption device. We focused on concentrating ethanol by adsorption onto granulated activated carbon in its gaseous phase, which was produced by stripping a matrix with different ethanol concentrations (2, 5, 10, and 15% v/v). For adsorption, three kinds of granulated activated carbon (GAC) were used, marked as GAC1, GAC2, and GAC3. The separation product had a higher ethanol concentration than the initial ethanol concentration before the adsorption–desorption process. The enrichment factor was, in the case of the initial ethanol concentration, 2% v/v at the level of 10. With our new adsorption–desorption device, it is possible to achieve a product with an ethanol concentration of 59.0% v/v with stripping, adsorption, desorption, and condensation. To verify the separation efficiency, a real matrix (fermentation broth) was used. The ethanol concentration in the real matrix was, at the beginning of the separation process, 0.65% v/v; after using our separation device, it was 11.35% v/v. Using a real matrix, the enrichment factor was at the level of 18. The main advantage is the use of our new adsorption–desorption device for the continuous separation of ethanol from fermentation broth. A mathematical model was created, based on which it is possible to calculate the ethanol concentration in the product of the separation process with high accuracy
