Objective: To know the perception of employees to CSR, it is necessary to construct and validate a scale that gives reliable results that allow us to have quantifiable data on how employees perceive these corporate socially responsible actions. Method: This study focused on the construction of a scale, which was submitted to a panel of expert judges. Results: where content validity of .798 was obtained. It was also administered to a sample of 234 participants, selected by availability. Of which came out a reliability index of .97. Conclusions: The researcher hopes that this instrument can be used by other researchers and serve as a tool for organizations to self-assess their CSR practices are being perceived by employees as expected.Objetivo: Conocer la percepción de los empleados hacia la RSE, es necesario construir y validar una escala, que arroje resultados confiables que nos permitan tener datos cuantificables sobre cómo perciben los empleados estas acciones corporativas socialmente responsables. AI is a viable alternative to high throughput screening: a 318-target study

    Get PDF
: High throughput screening (HTS) is routinely used to identify bioactive small molecules. This requires physical compounds, which limits coverage of accessible chemical space. Computational approaches combined with vast on-demand chemical libraries can access far greater chemical space, provided that the predictive accuracy is sufficient to identify useful molecules. Through the largest and most diverse virtual HTS campaign reported to date, comprising 318 individual projects, we demonstrate that our AtomNet® convolutional neural network successfully finds novel hits across every major therapeutic area and protein class. We address historical limitations of computational screening by demonstrating success for target proteins without known binders, high-quality X-ray crystal structures, or manual cherry-picking of compounds. We show that the molecules selected by the AtomNet® model are novel drug-like scaffolds rather than minor modifications to known bioactive compounds. Our empirical results suggest that computational methods can substantially replace HTS as the first step of small-molecule drug discovery

A framework for service coordination within an infant and toddler intervention program

    No full text
The research question addressed in this project was, how do I integrate different service coordination methods and models into my current model to improve my process and to better serve families of children with special needs within the program? It documents an early childhood special education teacher\u27s design of a service coordination framework. This framework is based on a family-centered philosophy. The author researched different service coordination models and trainings provided by other states. The framework is designed for an initial service coordinator who is with a family through initial intake and referral through completion of the evaluation and writing of the individual family service plan (IFSP). The author developed resources and forms to use throughout this process for both families and the service coordinator

Analysis of Renewable Energy Policies through Decision Trees

    No full text
This paper presents an alternative way of making predictions on the effectiveness and efficacy of Renewable Energy (RE) policies using Decision Trees (DT). As a data-driven process for decision-making, the analysis uses the Renewable Energy (RE) target achievement, predicting whether or not a RE target will likely be achieved (efficacy) and to what degree (effectiveness), depending on the different criteria, including geographical context, characterizing concerns, and policy characteristics. The results suggest different criteria that could help policymakers in designing policies with a higher propensity to achieve the desired goal. Using this tool, the policy decision-makers can better test/predict whether the target will be achieved and to what degree. The novelty in the present paper is the application of Machine Learning methods (through the Decision Trees) for energy policy analysis. Machine learning methodologies present an alternative way to pilot RE policies before spending lots of time, money, and other resources. We also find that using Machine Learning techniques underscores the importance of data availability. A general summary for policymakers has been included

An Undergraduate view on sexuality: Virginity beliefs as predictors of sexual attitudes among college students

    No full text
The study aims to see the predictive relationship of the three virginity scripts or beliefs as constructed by Carpenter (2001), to the four sexual attitudes as described by Hendrick, Hendrick, and Reich (2006). As part of Fishbein & Azjen\u27s (1980) theory of reasoned action it was stated that attitudes reflects a person\u27s belief. The previous and latter was used as the basis for an integrative framework for the predictive relationship between virginity beliefs and sexual attitudes. Using a sample of 309 undergraduate students, a multiple regression analysis was used to see if virginity beliefs can become predictors of sexual attitudes. Results show that the three predictors - gift, stigma, and process, explained 97.5% of the variance (R2=0.95, F(3,305)= 1996.5, p \u3c 0.05). Findings suggest that each virginity script predicted the appropriate sexual attitudes significantly as hypothesized by the researchers

The ECvalues were determined using GraphPad Prism software. Cell growth inhibition assay. MD-MB231 and BT549 cells were treated with 1 to 10 μmol/l CDIM9 for 6 days, and cell numbers were determined as described in Materials and methods. Results are expressed as means ± standard error for three separate determinations at each time point. CDIM9, 1,1-bis (3'-indolyl)-1-(p-biphenyl) methane; EC, concentration producing 50% of the maximum possible response; HSMM, human muscle myoblast; SKMC, human skeletal muscle cell
