Maffie Members in the Political Life of First Republic Czechoslovakia (1919–1921) — The Role PlayedbBy Přemysl Šámal

    No full text
This study deals with the issues surrounding the influence of “Maffie” members on the operation of the Czechoslovak state during the first years of its existence (1919–1921). Attention is primarily focused on Přemysl Šámal the man and his accession to the Office of the President of the Republic. His activities significantly contributed towards the formation of the position of so called Castle (Hrad) as a power group that had an influence on events in the young state.14715

The inventory of the personal papers of the Czech lawyer Kamil Henner senior (1861–1928). He was especially concerned with questions of canon law. His papers are preserved unfortunately very fragmentary. They contain personal and institutional correspondence, his scholarly essays and books, auxiliary material, and documentation from his public activity and of other people

Evaluation of remote work: New forms of corporate teamwork

    No full text
This bachelor's thesis deals with the remote work as a new form of work and aims to describe the benefits and pitfalls, especially from the perspective of employees. In the bachelor's thesis, we are looking for answers to the questions of whether and how employees are supported. What barriers and positives this way of working brings to employees. The first part of the thesis provides general overview of remote work and its legal aspects in Czech republic, the history of development is described. The principles of operation and communication of work teams are described. This is further compared with the specifics of virtual teams. The second part presents researches that deals with this subject in an international context. Finally, I have carried out my own research

A Contribution to Sonograph Image Quality Estimation Using Point Spread Function

    No full text
In medical sonography, sonograph image quality is an essential aspect for the safety of both patient and doctor. Its evaluation therefore requires an accurate and objective method for measurement. In this regard, a number of methods are in current use. Most of these are based on tissue mimicking phantom imaging. In contrast, we have used another principle based on Point Spread Function (PSF) analysis which is a product of the measuring system we have developed. In this case, the measured sonograph scans a small metallic ball target that moves in a water bath on a specified trajectory. The Region Of Interest (ROI) of the sonogram containing the ball target picture is digitised and the amplitude of the pixels analysed. The result is the PSF from which we calculate the lateral resolution (LR). For this purpose, we use our own original software. Using this method, we have to date been able to plot LR characteristics over the scanning plane. The method allows us to differentiate separate scanning lines and even multiple focal areas for dynamic focussing systems. It can detect malfunctions in dynamic focussing, size of aperture, time gain compensation function and/or transducer element failure. The procedure itself is not as easy or as fast to use as tissue mimicking phantoms or 3D signal to noise ratio evaluation, but it provides accurate and objective numeric parameters corresponding to the quality of image at any specified point over the whole scanning area. It is also a very powerful tool when used in combination with the other methods mentioned above
