    The problem lifted in this research is discipline work officer of The Office of Marine and Fisheries in Mesuji Regency. This research aim to lay open (1) influence of organization culture to discipline work officer, (2) influence of leadership style to discipline work officer, (3) Influence of organization culture and leadership style by together to discipline work officer. This research uses explanatory survey method. The population of this research are all officer of the Office of Marine and Fisheries in Mesuji Regency. Sample in this research entire/all from population that is as much 39 people. This Research consist of 3 (three) variables namely : organization culture (X1) and leadership style (X2) as independent variables and discipline work officer (Y) as a dependent variables. Result of analysis indicated that there are organization culture contribution to discipline work officer, contribution of leadership style to discipline work officer, and while organization culture contribution and leadership style concurrently to discipline work officer. The result of this reseach indicates that there is a positive influence and significant of organization culture toward discipline work officer, there is a positive influence and significant of leadership style toward discipline work officer, there is also a multiple positive influence and significant of organization culture and leadership style toward discipline work officer of The Office of Marine and Fisheries in Mesuji Regency. In an effort to improve the discipline work officer in the Office of Marine and Fisheries in Mesuji Regency need an increase in the quality of organization culture and leadership style. The higher the quality of organization culture and leadership style in the Office of Marine and Fisheries in Mesuji Regency the higher the quality of discipline work officer

    Drell-Yan production and Lam-Tung relation in the Color Glass Condensate formalism

    We study the Drell-Yan production cross section and structure functions in proton (deuteron)-nucleus collisions using the Color Glass Condensate formalism. The nucleus is treated in the Color Glass Condensate framework which includes both higher twist effects due to the inclusion of multiple scatterings and leading twist pQCD shadowing due to the small x resummation, while the proton (or deuteron) is treated within the DGLAP improved parton model. In particular, the Drell-Yan structure functions are used in order to investigate the Lam-Tung relation at small x, which is known to be identically zero at leading twist up to Next-to-Leading order, and is thus a good playground for studying higher twist effects. In agreement with this, we find that violations of this relation are more important for low momentum and invariant mass of the Drell-Yan pair, and also in the region of rapidity that corresponds to smaller values of x in the nucleus.Comment: 25 pages, 16 postscript figure

    Ultra-High Energy Neutrino-Nucleon Scattering and Parton Distributions at Small xx

    The cross section for ultra-high energy neutrino-nucleon scattering is very sensitive to the parton distributions at very small values of Bjorken x (x104)x \leq 10^{-4}). We numerically investigate the effects of modifying the behavior of the gluon distribution function at very small xx in the DGLAP evolution equation. We then use the Color Glass Condensate formalism to calculate the neutrino-nucleon cross section at ultra-high energies and compare the result with those based on modification of DGLAP evolution equation.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures, INT-PUB-05-3

    Firms are exposed to a variety of risks including credit risk, liquidity risk, foreign exchange risk, market risk and interest rate risk. An efficient risk management system is needed in time in order to control these risks. Managing risk is one of the basic tasks to be done, once it has been identified and known. The risk and return are directly related to each other, which means that increasing one will subsequently increase the other and vice versa. Financial risks have a great impact on firm’s performance. The study also assessed the current risk management practices of the firms and linked them with the firms’ financial performance. The findings confirm whether financial risks can be contained or managed in order for firms to achieve profit maximization for its shareholders.     Adaptive gender-based thermal control system

    A closed loop adaptive gender-based thermal control system (AG-TCS) is designed, modelled, analysed and tested. The system has the unique feature of adapting to the surrounding environment as a function of the number of humans present and the gender ratio. The operation of the system depends on a unique interface between a radio frequency identification (RFID) device and an imaging device, both of which are correlated and interfaced to a controller. Testing of the system resulted in smooth transition and shape conversion of the response curve, which proved its adaptability. Three mathematical equations describing the internal mechanisms of the AG-TCS are presented and have been proven to optimally reflect the original statistical data covering both genders
