Based on the new curriculum entering the Norwegian schools from the fall of 2020 (LK20, The Norwegian directorate for Education and Training), where programming as a subject now have been given a significant part, our intent is getting an insight into the teachers' experience and thoughts about the Super:bit project. The Super:bit project is an initiative directed by the Norwegian Science Center (Vitensenteret), where the main goal is to introduce programming to all schools. During the 4th year of our teacher education, we became interested in this subject, and the teacher aspect of Super:bits transfer value to students in 5-10th grade. The foundation of this study is based on thoughts and experiences from teachers. Having this in mind, we want to research and evaluate the following study question: “What thoughts and experiences do teachers have regarding Super:bits possible transfer value to students in 5-10th grade, in the subject of mathematics?” As a starting point for this study, we have chosen a phenomenological- and pragmatic approach, with the use of mixed methods to shed light on our study question. 70 teachers have participated in an anonymous digital survey, and then 5 teachers have joined us for an indepth interview. Two criteria had to be met: (1) participants must be teachers, and (2) completed the Super:bit-project with the Norwegian Science Center. The data collection shows that most of the teachers have a positive attitude towards the Super:bit project, and express that Super:bit potentially can provide transfer value to problem solving, computational thinking, creativity, self-efficacy, motivation and relational understanding. The teachers indicates that students may benefit more from the tasks within Super:bit, if they are directed more towards the different elements (Keywords for this study). The teacher's knowledge and competence are of great importance for the transfer value. It affects whether and if Super:bit is used further in school, after completing the Super:bitproject directed by the Norwegian Science Center. Keywords for this study: transfer value, computational thinking, problem solving, creativity, self-efficacy, motivation, and relational understanding

Gut Microbiota in Human Adults with Type 2 Diabetes Differs from Non-Diabetic Adults

Recent evidence suggests that there is a link between metabolic diseases and bacterial populations in the gut. The aim of this study was to assess the differences between the composition of the intestinal microbiota in humans with type 2 diabetes and non-diabetic persons as control. was highly enriched in diabetic compared to non-diabetic persons (P = 0.02) and positively correlated with plasma glucose (P = 0.04).The results of this study indicate that type 2 diabetes in humans is associated with compositional changes in intestinal microbiota. The level of glucose tolerance should be considered when linking microbiota with metabolic diseases such as obesity and developing strategies to control metabolic diseases by modifying the gut microbiota

Benefit and risk assessment of fish in the Norwegian diet - Scientific Opinion of the Steering Committee of the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food and Environment

Source at https://vkm.no/.In 2006, VKM published “A comprehensive assessment of fish and other seafood in the Norwegian diet”. The assessment supported the recommendation from Norwegian Health authorities to eat more fish both for dinner and on sandwiches. In an update of the assessment in 2014 VKM concluded that “the benefits from fish consumption clearly outweigh the negligible risk presented by current levels of contaminants and other undesirable substances in fish”. Because of new knowledge available, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority requested a new benefit and risk assessment of fish in the Norwegian diet in 2019. In the assignment, they asked VKM to answer the following questions: Which health consequences will it have for the Norwegian population if they: Continue with the same fish consumption levels as of today Increase the consumption of fish to match the recommendations given by the Norwegian Directorate of Health </uli
