The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence TT virus among cirrhotic patients due to hepatitis B & C in infection Ahwaz. Methods: The prevalence of TTV infection was studied in 41 patients with liver cirrhosis. TTV DNA was detected by semi-nested PCR. The plasma samples were tested for marker hepatitis B & C by ELISA test. Results: TT virus was detected in 17(41.46%) of the 41 patients with cirrhotic liver disease. There were no significant difference between the subject TTV DNA in relation to sex and age. TTV positivity in cirrhotic patient infected with hepatitis B (52.9%) was higher than in similar patients infected with hepatitis C (47.1%). Conclusion: TTV infection was highly prevalence in patient with cirrhotic hepatitis, especially in those with hepatitis B virus infection

Courses in Architecture can be classified into three categories; Knowledge, Skill, and Attitude. The "Human, Nature, Architecture" course, which falls into the attitude category and is one of the basic and specialized courses in teaching architecture, is supposed to be a preface to basing students’ general approach to this area of expertise. So far, nonetheless, this course not only has not moved in this direction but has also caused feelings of demotivation and indifference in students. Current methods in teaching the course often depart from the general content and objectives of the course, thereby reducing the intended impacts of the course on students’ attitudes. The present study investigates the impacts of effective presentation of this course via reintroducing the course and emphasizing the significance of environment in architecture education. Using a questionnaire survey, this study was conducted based on the comprehensive examination of the basic features of the course and comparative analysis of its different teaching methods. The participants of this study include 35 teachers and 180 students from five architecture departments in different Iranian universities. Various teaching methods with authorized syllabuses were investigated comparatively. Results of the study led to the development of a coherent method for teaching the course Human, Nature, Architecture, which is expected to be employed by teachers in recognizing a comprehensive method

Background This study investigated the prevalence for hepatitis A virus (HAV), hepatitis E virus (HEV), herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV2) and syphilis among homeless in the city of Tehran. Methods In this cross-sectional study, 596 homeless were recruited in Tehran. A researcher-designed questionnaire was used to study demographic data. Using enzyme-linked immunoassay, and rapid plasma reagin (RPR) test, we evaluated the seroprevalence of HAV anti-body, HEV IgG, herpes, HSV2 IgG, and syphilis among sheltered homeless in Tehran. The associations between the participant’s characteristics and infections were evaluated using logistic regression and chi-square. Results A total of 569 homeless, 78 women (13.7%) and 491 men (86.3%) were enrolled into the study from June to August 2012. Their age mean was 42 years and meantime of being homeless was 24 months. Seroprevalence of syphilis, HEV IgG, HSV2 IgG and HAV Ab was 0.55%, 24.37%, 16.48%, and 94.34%, respectively. History of drug abuse was reported in 77.70%; 46.01% of them were using a drug during the study and 26.87% of them had history of intravenous drug abuse. Among people who had intravenous drug abuse, 48.25% had history of syringe sharing. Conclusion The prevalence of HAV, HEV and HSV2 were higher than the general population while low prevalence of syphilis was seen among homeless peoples who are at high risk of sexually transmitted infection (STD). Our findings highlighted that significant healthcare needs of sheltered homeless people in Tehran are unmet and much more attention needs to be paid for the health of homeless people
