Single magnetic molecule between conducting leads: Effect of mechanical rotations

We study spin-rotation effects in a magnetic molecule bridged between two conducting leads. Dynamics of the total angular momentum couples spin tunneling to the mechanical rotations. Landau-Zener spin transition produced by the time-dependent magnetic field generates a unique pattern of mechanical oscillations that can be detected by measuring the electronic tunneling current through the molecule.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figure

Knowledge Of Ergonomics Among Technical Staff In University Technology Mara Penang Malaysia

Ergonomics is the scientific study of human work. Ergonomics knowledge helps in its right application and contributes significantly to the general wellbeing and safety worker’s at the workplace. Even though ergonomics in Malaysia was introduced in 1992, but it is a relatively new concept and yet to be considered an essential component of most enterprises. The aim of this study is to evaluate the level of ergonomics knowledge among technical staff in University Technology MARA (UiTM), Penang Malaysia. A questionnaire was developed and distributed to all technical staff of UiTM and the responses were analyzed using SPSS version 15. The evaluation showed that the score of average mean and standard deviation obtained are 3.16 and 0.96 respectively. The result shows that their level of ergonomic knowledge is moderate. The mean score obtained from the awareness of the effect if the ergonomics aspects are not practiced in the workplace is 4.37 which is a high level. It means that they don`t want to get injured and experience an unhealthy condition in the workplace. Regular ergonomic educations and practices in UiTM are advocated to increase ergonomics knowledge and practice to better leve

In this paper we recall the definition of fuzzy length space on a fuzzy set after that we recall basic definitions and properties of this space. Then we introduce the notion pseudo fuzzy length space on a fuzzy set to prove that the fuzzy completion of pseudo fuzzy length is a fuzzy length space. Finally we defined the quotient of a fuzzy length space then we defined the fuzzy length to the quotient space

Objective: The aim of the present research was to improve dissolution of poorly soluble meloxicam a BCS (Biopharmaceutical Classification System) Class-II drug by utilizing liquisolid technique. Different liquisolid (LS) compacts were prepared using a mathematical model to calculate the required quantities of powder and liquid ingredients to produce acceptably flow able and compressible admixture. Methods: Liquisolid compact was prepared from; microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel PH 102) as carrier, colloidal silicon dioxide (Aerosil 200) and silica (cab-O-sil) as coating material, sodium starch glycol ate and cross povidon as super disintegrants, PVP-K25 and HPMC E5 as additives to increase loading capacity, polyethylene glycol 400, propylene glycol and tween 80 as liquid vehicles. The ratio of carrier to coating material was kept constant in all formulations at 25:1, this ratio was chosen after testing the ratios 5:1, 10:1, 15:1, 20:1 and 25:1. The ratio 25;1 give optimal results relative to other ratios. The prepared LS compacts were evaluated for their tab letting properties. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) were performed. Results: The tab letting properties of the liquisolid compacts was within the acceptable limits. The drug release rates of the selected formulas (LS-3, LS-3A, LS-3AP and LS-3AH) of prepared liquisolid compacts were distinctly higher as compared to directly compressed tablets, and marketed tablets. The DSC, XRPD and SEM were suggested loss of meloxicam crystallinity upon liquisolid preparation indicating that even though the drug existed in a solid dosage form, it is held within the powder substrate in a solubilized, almost molecularly dispersed state, which may be contributed to the enhanced drug dissolution properties. The FTIR spectra showed disappearance of the characteristic absorption band of meloxicam (3290 cm-1) in liquidsolid formulation which might be attributed to the formation of hydrogen bonding between the drug and liquid vehicle; this resulted in drug dissolution enhancement. Conclusion: From this study it concludes that the LS technique is an effective approach to enhance the dissolution rate of meloxicam

This paper is presenting preliminary research to design Isolated Magnetic Dipole MIMO Antenna for wireless application. Isolated Magnetic Dipole (IMD) structure is one of the unique geometries that offers compact and low damaging electrical current at the ground surface. However, less attention in discussing design the MIMO antenna using IMD structure. The two elements MIMO antenna using IMD with linear port configuration has constructed at 2.4 GHz. Then simulated and analyzed to validate the feasibility of the IMD-MIMO antenna. The simulation and analysis cover S-Parameters, radiation, Gain, Correlation coefficient, and diversity gain. In addition, simple Semi-circle structure etched on the ground layer to improve the isolation of MIMO antenna. From the simulation results, the IMD-MIMO antenna has better results and highly recommended for designing compact MIMO antenna

Setting goals can be reviewed as aspirations for future betterment especially among adolescents. Goal-setting process involves aspects like future planning, principles, values, priorities, application of knowledge and decision making.  This process varies according to individual needs and requires different approaches and guidance. Literature review prevailed that the essential ingredient of Solution-focused approach is setting goals. Solution-focused techniques found to be vital and crucial in assisting adolescents to set goals. Two objectives were drawn through literature reviews. Objective one is to determine the effectiveness of SFGW in increasing adolescent’s goal orientation behavior mean score between pre-test, post-test and follow-up test.  And, the second objective is to compare the effects between SFGW intervention module (treatment group) and traditional module (control group) on goal orientation mean score for post-test and follow-up test.  This is a true experimental with pre-test and post-test design using Solution-focused module and administration of questionnaires for data collection. A total of 66 samples who met the inclusion requirement were assigned randomly to experimental (n = 32) and control (n = 34) groups using paired-matched design.  The samples in experimental group were given treatment using the SFGW intervention program for seven weeks.  After the completion of the treatment, posttest and follow-up test were carried out and data was collected using Goal Orientation Scale.  The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, and one-way repeated measure ANOVA.  The study discloses that SFGW does significantly affect the level of goal orientation behavior among Malaysian adolescents
