Glueball spectrum based on a rigorous three-dimensional relativistic equation for two-gluon bound states II: calculation of the glueball spectrum
In the preceding paper, a rigorous three-dimensional relativistic equation
for two-gluon bound states was derived from the QCD with massive gluons and
represented in the angular momentum representation. In order to apply this
equation to calculate the glueball spectrum, in this paper, the equation is
recast in an equivalent three-dimensional relativistic equation satisfied by
the two-gluon positive energy state amplitude. The interaction Hamiltonian in
the equation is exactly derived and expressed as a perturbative series. The
first term in the series describes the one-gluon exchange interaction which
includes fully the retardation effect in it. This term plus the linear
confining potential are chosen to be the interaction Hamiltonian and employed
in the practical calculation. With the integrals containing three and four
spherical Bessel functions in the QCD vertices being analytically calculated,
the interaction Hamiltonian is given an explicit expression in the angular
momentum representation. Numerically solving the relativistic equation with
taking the contributions arising from the retardation effect and the
longitudinal mode of gluon fields into account, a set of masses for the
and glueball states are
obtained and are in fairly good agreement with the predictions given by the
lattice simulatio
Glueball spectrum based on a rigorous three-dimensional relativistic equation for two-gluon bound states I: Derivation of the relativistic equation
A rigorous three-dimensional relativistic equation satisfied by two-gluon
bound states is derived from the QCD with massive gluons. With the gluon fields
and the quark fields being expanded in terms of the gluon multipole fields and
the spherical Dirac spinors respectively, the equation is well established in
the angular momentum representation and hence is much convenient for solving
the problem of two-gluon glueball spectra. In particular, the interaction
kernel in the equation is exactly derived and given a closed expression which
includes all the interactions taking place in the two-gluon glueballs. The
kernel contains only a few types of Green's functions and commutators.
Therefore, it is not only easily calculated by the perturbation method, but
also provides a suitable basis for nonperturbative investigations
A Measurement of Psi(2S) Resonance Parameters
Cross sections for e+e- to hadons, pi+pi- J/Psi, and mu+mu- have been
measured in the vicinity of the Psi(2S) resonance using the BESII detector
operated at the BEPC. The Psi(2S) total width; partial widths to hadrons,
pi+pi- J/Psi, muons; and corresponding branching fractions have been determined
to be Gamma(total)= (264+-27) keV; Gamma(hadron)= (258+-26) keV, Gamma(mu)=
(2.44+-0.21) keV, and Gamma(pi+pi- J/Psi)= (85+-8.7) keV; and Br(hadron)=
(97.79+-0.15)%, Br(pi+pi- J/Psi)= (32+-1.4)%, Br(mu)= (0.93+-0.08)%,
respectively.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figure
Measurements of the Mass and Full-Width of the Meson
In a sample of 58 million events collected with the BES II detector,
the process J/ is observed in five different decay
channels: , , (with ), (with

channels, we determine the mass and full-width of to be
MeV/ and
MeV/.Comment: 9 pages, 2 figures and 4 table. Submitted to Phys. Lett.
Search for Invisible Decays of and in and
Using a data sample of decays collected with the BES
II detector at the BEPC, searches for invisible decays of and
in to and are performed.
The signals, which are reconstructed in final states, are used
to tag the and decays. No signals are found for the
invisible decays of either or , and upper limits at the 90%
confidence level are determined to be for the ratio
and for . These are the first
searches for and decays into invisible final states.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures; Added references, Corrected typo
Observation of Two New N* Peaks in J/psi -> and Decays
The system in decays of is limited to be
isospin 1/2 by isospin conservation. This provides a big advantage in studying
compared with and experiments which mix
isospin 1/2 and 3/2 for the system. Using 58 million decays
collected with the Beijing Electron Positron Collider, more than 100 thousand
events are obtained. Besides two well known
peaks at 1500 MeV and 1670 MeV, there are two new, clear peaks in
the invariant mass spectrum around 1360 MeV and 2030 MeV. They are the
first direct observation of the peak and a long-sought "missing"
peak above 2 GeV in the invariant mass spectrum. A simple
Breit-Wigner fit gives the mass and width for the peak as MeV and MeV, and for the new peak above 2 GeV
as MeV and MeV, respectively
Connecting wearable textile transmission lines: allâtextile fabrication solutions and design techniques
This paper is a postprint of a paper submitted to and accepted for publication in Electronics Letters and is subject to Institution of Engineering and Technology Copyright. The copy of record is available at IET Digital Library.A new method for connecting transmission lines is presented without using rigid connectors in order to implement a fully textile interconnecting system appropriate for signal transmission in wearable applications. This method is applied to textile striplines and named âcomplementary overlapâ. The proposed method is examined from 1 to 6 GHz covering the frequency bands of the target applications: ISM (WLAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee etc.) and L-band (GPS)
Development of decision support system for the diagnosis of arthritis pain for rheumatic fever patients: Based on the fuzzy approach
Developing a Decision Support System (DSS) for Rheumatic Fever (RF) is complex due to the levels of vagueness, complexity and uncertainty management involved, especially when the same arthritis symptoms can indicate multiple diseases. It is this inability to describe observed symptoms precisely that necessitates our approach to developing a Decision Support System (DSS) for diagnosing arthritis pain for RF patients using fuzzy logic. In this paper we describe how fuzzy logic could be applied to the development of a DSS application that could be used for diagnosing arthritis pain (arthritis pain for rheumatic fever patients only) in four different stages, namely: Fairly Mild, Mild, Moderate and Severe. Our approach employs a knowledge-base that was built using WHO guidelines for diagnosing RF, specialist guidelines from Nepal and a Matlab fuzzy tool box as components to the system development. Mixed membership functions (Triangular and Trapezoidal) are applied for fuzzification and Mamdani-type is used for the fuzzy reasoning process. Input and output parameters are defined based on the fuzzy set rules
Chiral unitary approach to S-wave meson baryon scattering in the strangeness S=0 sector
We study the S-wave interaction of mesons with baryons in the strangeness S=0
sector in a coupled channel unitary approach. The basic dynamics is drawn from
the lowest order meson baryon chiral Lagrangians. Small modifications inspired
by models with explicit vector meson exchange in the t-channel are also
considered. In addition the pi pi N channel is included and shown to have an
important repercussion in the results, particularly in the isospin 3/2 sector.Comment: 23 pages, LaTeX, 21 figure
