    This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of leadership style and work environment on work performance and work performance of employees. This type of research is explanatory research and conducted at PT ACTS. The study population was employees of PT ACTS Surabaya, with a total sample of 90 people. The analysis technique used uses the smart partial least square (smartPLS) approach. The results of the study prove that leadership style has a negative and significant effect on work stress. The work environment has a positive and significant effect on work performance. Job stress has a negative and significant effect on the work performance of PT ACTS Surabaya

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan melayani dengan kecenderungan burnout pada anggota Detasemen Gegana Satuan Brimob Polda Jateng. Kecenderungan burnout adalah suatu kecenderungan perasaan dimana individu mengalami kelelahan berlebihan baik fisik, mental, maupun emosional dalam jangka waktu tertentu dalam rangka mencapai tujuan yang tinggi. Gaya kepemimpinan melayani adalah penilaian anggota terhadap kemampuan pemimpin untuk membuat Perubahan, memiliki kemauan lebih untuk menjadi pendengar, bijaksana dalam mengambil keputusan, dan berkontribusi untuk kesejahteraan organisasi. Sampel penelitian 65 anggota Detasemen Gegana Satuan Brimob Polda Jateng yang didapatkan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Skala Kecenderungan Burnout (17 aitem, α = 0,876) dan skala gaya kepemimpinan melayani (33 aitem, α = 0,944). Metode analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan melayani dengan kecenderungan burnout (r = -0,811; p = 0,000; p< 0,001). Gaya kepemimpinan melayani memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 65,8% terhadap kecenderungan burnout

    The Meaning of Concepts of Human Nature in Organizational Life in Business Ethics Context

    The main goal of this paper is to exhibit the role of the concept of human nature for the ethical orientation of organizational life. Therefore, after presenting some definitions of the concepts of human nature, which depict the complexity of these phenomena, some models of the concepts of human nature are described. Furthermore, the setting of the concepts of human nature in the organizational life is discussed. Those concepts can be perceived as a deep-structure of the organizational life, having an impact not only on the individual behaviour of employees and managers (like sensibility for human emotions, pro-social engagement, communication style), but also affecting their moral competence and influencing whole organizational culture – image of the organization, preferred management strategies and the way of perceiving justice. Those elements play crucial role in ethical attitude of the organization because all those variables support the efficacy of ethical rules and most of them are part of ethical code and corporate ethical code. Therefore, it is necessary for an organization to consider implicit and explicit concepts of human nature on which the organizational culture is based and support those concepts, which enables the ethical conduct of the organization and being alert especially to the consequences of materialistic/egoistic and competitive concepts of human nature.     . This study aims to determine the effect of compensation to employee performance State Savings Bank, Tbk Manado. This research uses descriptive quantitative approach with tools simple correlation and regression analysis, to test the level of relationship and influence that occurs between the variable compensation with employee performance. Results indicate compensation linked to employee performance as evidenced by the coefficient of determination of 0.619. The performance of the employees affected by the compensation of 61.9%, and there are 38.1% is determined by other factors. We hope this research can be used as a reference in subsequent research by developing a variety of other variables related to human resources management

    Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah work family conflict berpengaruh terhadap stres kerja dan kinerja karyawan di restoran The Duck King Imperial Chef Galaxy Mall Surabaya. Restoran The Duck King Imperial Chef Galaxy Mall berada di daerah Timur kota Surabaya, merupakan family restaurant dengan membawa tema Chinese, Taiwan, dan Hongkong style. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian konklusif. Teknik Analisa yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah partial least square (PLS). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa work family conflict berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap stres kerja. Sedangkan stres kerja berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, sehingga stres kerja terbukti tidak memberikan pengaruh yang buruk dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan di restoran The Duck King Imperial Chef Galaxy Mall Surabaya

    Improving Communications: Awareness and Management of Perceiving Disagreement

    Interpersonal communications often fail to communicate the intended message. Language, contextual, and cultural differences between the sender and receiver of the message influence the receipt of the intended message exacerbates a lack of understanding when the message contains inexact words and phrases. The resultant message obtained by the receiver may or may not be in agreement with what the intended message was supposed to convey. This creates a phenomenon named Perceiving Disagreement. When Perceiving Disagreement occurs, actions taken because of the message can conflict with the intended actions expected by the message sender and result in inappropriate performance and behaviors. This paper discusses the phenomenon of Perceiving Disagreement and encourages organizations and individuals to support the use of awareness training and practice of using more exact language and exchanging feedback between the receiver and sender of a message to improve the understanding and effectiveness of all communications.
