    The aim of the study is to see the relationship between the application status of ISO 9000 Quality Management System in the school with the quality and productivity of teachers (QPT). This study is an early exploratory study in the form of a case study. The orientation of the study is to look at the differences of the dimensions of the quality and productivity of teachers with regards to 3 school systems, that is, School With ISO 9002 Certification (known as Gl School), School In The Process Of Achieving The ISO 9002 Certification (G2 School), and School Without the ISO 9062 system. This case study is carried out in the Perks State, as two of the subjects, Gl and G2 are in that state. The instrument used to measure the quality and productivity of teachers was developed by Rahmah Yusak (1997). The instrument used for this study is the school’s administrators version. The result shows that the School Without ISO 9002 (G3) has a positive and high mean score than the School In The Process of Achieving ISO 9002 (G2), and also the School With ISO 9002 Certification (Gl), The dimensions in Gl that obtain high means were discipline, good morals, commitment, teamwork, and management. For G2 School, highly valued dimensions were good morals, discipline, commitment, teamwork, and management. Whereas G3 School, the dimensions that preceeded others were discipline, good morals, teamwork, commitment, and proactive. The research had fulfilled the purpose and objective where the comparison between the three different application status of ISO 9002 in the schools was contrasted in the dimensions of the quality and productivity of teachers. As a conclusion, the three schools with different status of the application of the ISO 9000 system, have a high quality dan productivity of teachers in the evaluation of the schools’ administrators

    In today's competitive environment, maintaining a competitive advantage to achieve high performance is a significant challenge for businesses. To succeed, organizations must not only develop competencies in their focus areas but also be able to adapt, change, and realign those competencies in a dynamic and competitive corporate environment. As a result, information system (IS) capabilities are growing in significance as a strategic element that supports the development of competitive advantages and organizational survival. By examining the gap from the prior research, this study intends to answer questions about the link between information system (IS) related capabilities and the sustainable competitive advantages of an organization. The dimensions of information system capabilities (Personnel capability, Administrative capability, Infrastructure capability, and Information management capability) are factors that could explain a firm's sustainable competitive advantage and the theory of dynamic capability is used as the guiding theory, as guidance, and to support the conceptual framework.     Kajian ini memfokuskan terhadap pendekatan wasatiyyah (sederhana) dalam berinteraksi dengan orang bukan Islam dalam konteks masyarakat majemuk di Malaysia. Pendekatan ini penting dalam mengimbangi antara dua kumpulan ekstrem dalam masyarakat Islam, yaitu antara pendekatan golongan literalis yang sempit dengan pendekatan golongan liberalis yang longgar. Pendekatan literalis cenderung membentuk hubungan konflik dengan orang bukan Islam, manakala pendekatan golongan liberalis cenderung kepada pluralisme agama yang dilarang. Untuk menggarap pendekatan wasatiyyah, pengkaji menganalisis data-data kualitatif yang bersumberkan petunjuk Alquran dan pedoman Sunah Nabi Saw. Hasil kajian mendapati wujudnya asas hubungan sosial yang sederhana sesuai dengan konteks masyarakat majemuk di Malaysia, yaitu saling kenal mengenali antara satu sama lain bagi mengelak pencabulan sensitiviti agama, saling berdialog untuk meningkatkan persepahaman antara agama, saling bertoleransi untuk mencetuskan suasana kehidupan yang harmoni, berlaku adil bagi menghindari kezaliman terhadap agama lain, tiada paksaan dan pemaksaan untuk mengikut ajaran Islam atau kebebasan beragama serta membina identiti yang eksklusif sebagai benteng untuk menghindari penyerupaan yang dilarang oleh Syarak. Melalui pendekatan yang bersifat sederhana ini, hubungan sosial dapat berlangsung selari dengan tuntutan syariat

    Pendakwah merupakan golongan yang berperanan penting dalam menyampaikan Islam kepada masyarakat. Mereka antara insan yang telah dipertanggungjawabkan oleh Allah dalam memakmurkan agama di muka bumi ini. Aspek persiapan dianggap elemen penting dalam menentukan keberkesanan proses penyampaian dakwah. Pengetahuan dan kemahiran adalah dua elemen berkaitan. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis kepentingan aspek pengetahuan dan kemahiran dakwah kepada masyarakat Orang Asli. Kaedah yang digunakan dalam membincangkan isu berkaitan pengetahuan dan kemahiran adalah berdasarkan analisis dokumen seperti jurnal, buku dan lain-lain dokumen berkaitan kajian. Analisis aspek pengetahuan adalah berdasarkan teori Thaqafah al-Da’iyah oleh al-Qaradawi. Manakala aspek kemahiran adalah berasaskan prinsip metodologi dakwah dalam surah al-Nahl, ayat 125. Analisis ini memperlihatkan adalah penting pendakwah menguasai aspek pengetahuan berkaitan ilmu Islam, sejarah dan kearifan tempatan, kepercayaan, adat dan budaya, pengetahuan semasa serta realiti masyarakat setempat. Manakala aspek kemahiran yang perlu dikuasai pendakwah pula ialah komunikasi, kemahiran pertukangan, pertanian, perubatan, sukan dan lain-lain yang berkaitan lingkungan kehidupan masyarakat Orang Asli

    Kefahaman individu boleh terbina melalui maklumat yang diperolehi, kualiti maklumat dan cara maklumat disampaikan. Sehubungan itu, kertas ini bertujuan mengenal pasti tahap kefahaman pelajar UKM terhadap pelaksanaan kokurikulum berkredit berasaskan kontrak pembelajaran. Seramai 1013 responden terlibat dalam kajian mi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tahap kefahaman responden adalah sederhana dengan nilai min antara 3.29 hingga 3.48 terhadap empat elemen utama iaitu konsep kontrak pembelajaran, tujuan dilaksanakan, cara pelaksanaan dan mekanisme permohonan. Tahap pengetahuan responden pula, ianya berada pada tahap yang sangat baik dengan min antara 1.61 hingga 1.81. Sementara itu, tahap penerimaan pelajar menunjukkan 35.4 peratus yang bersetuju walaupun pelbagai maklumat disediakan untuk memberi penerangan. Oleh itu, sebahagian daripada cadangan yang boleh dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan tahap penerimaan pelajar ialah mengadakan taklimat berterusan, hari bersama pelanggan, penggunaan sistem dan melantik felo daripada fakulti dan kolej

    Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in Primigravidae: a Mild Disease

    This prospective observational study was done to analyse the prevalence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) among primigravidae and its outcome. All healthy primigravidae with singleton pregnancies were offered universal glucose tolerance testing between 16 and 28 weeks gestation. GDM and non GDM groups were managed according to hospital protocol. The antenatal features and pregnancy outcomes were analysed. Out of 616 primigravidae, 113 (18.34 %) were GDM with slightly older (27.9 ± 4.2 versus 26.32 ± 3.3, p < 0.001) age. The mean fasting and two hours postprandial blood glucose in both groups were 4.99 ± 1.08 mmol/l, 8.86 ± 1.41 mmol/l(GDM) and 4.36 ± 0.43 mmol/l, 5.71 ± 1.11 mmol/l (Non GDM), respectively. Maternal family history of diabetes mellitus, weight exceeding 80 Kg, polyhydramnios (2.65 % versus 0.2 %, p=0.028) and neonatal hyperbilirubinaemia (9.73 % versus 2.98 %, p=0.01) occurred significantly more frequent in the GDM group compared to normal. There was no significant difference in other pregnancy outcomes and complications between the two groups. In conclusion GDM in primigravidae was detected at a relatively young age with more frequent maternal family history of DM, weight exceeding 80 Kg, polyhydromnions and neonatal hyperbilirubinaemia. The degree of disease was mild and treatment led to no significant complication
