individuals, experts of curriculum, santris, ustaz, graduates, dropouts, community figure, and the writer of the Kitab Kuning. The data were analyzed through content analysis. This study found that the Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah had four unwritten components of curriculum and the problem of implementing curriculum occured in the content section and the methods of teaching. The major contribution of the study is that now the Pondok
Pesantren Salafiyah has a written curriculum covering educational purposes, contents,

Tanwīr al-Miqbās min Tafsīr Ibn ʹAbbās : its principles of interpretation
This study investigates the principles of interpretation in Tanwir al-Miqbas min Tafsir Ibn `Abbas, focusing on its approach and method, sources and points of view. To accomplish this purpose, both historical and literary analysis are employed. Nevertheless, this study does not attempt to resolve the well-known dispute over its authenticity or ascription.Like other Qur'anic commentaries produced in the classical period, Tanwir al-Miqbas relies heavily on philological analysis in the sense that it provides an interpretation of Qur'anic verses based on their literal meaning and in very simple terms. Similarly, it employs sources that were commonly used in classical tafsir, namely, Qur'anic cross-reference, h&dotbelow;adith, Arabic poetry and isra'iliyat. However, due to its simplistic approach, it is difficult to extract any guiding principles behind its interpretation. In fact, there is little to indicate that this Qur'anic exegesis represents the views of any particular Islamic sect, let alone of any individual person.Nevertheless, with its simple presentation, Tanwir al-Miqbas brings up many interesting and challenging issues which deserve greater scholarly attention. Further and deeper research into these issues may help us to situate the work within the broader exegetical tradition in Islam

The research employed a research and development method modified from Borg and Gall, consisting of needs assessment, design, and development. The research objectives were to portray the material of teaching Arabic written in class ten at Islamic senior high school and design a model of enrichment material graded and used independently for the students who graduated from public junior high schools. The study showed that the students who graduated from public junior high school and continued study to Islamic senior high school must be assisted by an enrichment material for their independent study because the existing material did not match their previous knowledge. In this research, a model of teaching material was designed based on three characteristics; first, readability is the main character of supporting teaching material. Secondly, grammar and daily culture made it easier to grab meaning and were thirdly graded and comprehensive. The teaching material was accompanied by audio material for listening, conversation, and reading to the substitute teacher when the student studied independently
