    Mediation effect of trust on the relationship between perception of organization politics and commitment

    This paper is the extension study of the relationship between perception of organiza-tion politics (POP), and commitment. This study investigates how trust explained therelation between these relationships. Mediation effect of trust was used to explainhow this perception was related to commitment. Moderation effect was used forfurther explanation on investigation the complexities of these relationships.The result showed that the model was adequacy fit. PoP has negative correlationwith commitment. Trust has fully mediated the relationship between PoP and com-mitment. In order to the moderation, the result showed that employee who has higherof trust was seen stronger POP-Commitment relationship than those who has lowerones.Implication of the findings for organizations and suggestions for future researchare discussed.Keywords: perception of organizational politics, perception of equity, trust, Com-mitmen

    AbstrakPemikiran strategis secara umum didefinisikan sebagai suatu proses mental atau berpikir yang diterapkan oleh seorang individu dalam konteks mencapai keberhasilan dalam permainan atau usaha lainnya. Manajer tingkat menengah seringkali gagal untuk menerjemahkan strategi perusahaan pada tugas strategisnya. Artikel ini memberikan gambaran pendekatan konseptual pemikiran strategis manajer menengah dalam rangka untuk menerjemahkan arah perusahaan ke dalam bentuk strategi operasional. Konsep Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) dan Value, Rarity, Imitability, and Organization (VRIO) dianggap dapat membantu manajer tingkat menengah untuk menerjemahkan strategi perusahaan dengan menggunakan peran sumber daya yang dimiliki dan tingkat kemampuannya dalam bidang kewenangannya.Kata kunci: Pemikiran strategis, manajer tingkat menengah, SWOT, VRIO

    The Effect of E-learning on Character Building: Proposition for Organizational Behavior Course

    Phenomenon of character as well as human behavior becomes more attractive through education prosess within E-learning. Scholars have attempted to investigate various attitudes and behaviors of the students during learning processes. However, few scholars explore the character building of students who are taking a course of organizational behaviors, whereas the course containing behaviors shapes students character. Hence this study proposes the integrated learning process of human behavior in order to shape the character of the student, including the effect of integrated and simultaneous processes of education on character, and support of E-Learning on the character education and through delivering course of organizational behavior. Limitation and future research direction are discussed

    This study is aimed to explore the effect of knowledge and skill on the readiness of Indonesian student of higher education toward the competition at Asean Economic Community (AEC). This study employs 3900 student from 42 Universities. Multiple regressions are used to analyze the data.     This study examines about the influence of emotional Intelligence and leadership effectiveness toward works performance. Quantitative method was used in this research. Survey is used to collect the data by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study shows that emotional intelligence and perception of leadership effectiveness have a positive effect on team performance.     Workplace conflicts tend to be far more complex than that view of some peoples, for they involve ongoing relationships with complex emotional components. Conflict tends to be accompanied by significant levels of misunderstanding that exaggerate the perceived disagreement considerably. Although conflict is a normal part of organization life, providing numerous opportunities for growth through improved understanding and insight, there is a tendency to view conflict as a negative experience caused by abnormally difficult circumstances. Conflict may occur within one’s personality it-self, conflict among persons, conflict with in group, or conflict among persons. However, some scholars argued that people are part of the human family that has been created by God have the same nature of other mankind in the sense of biological and psychological aspects. Hence, among the things that may distinguish people in a state of conflict perspectives are: their worldview, roles and duties that affect their approach, attitudes, and behaviors in a conflict, and accordingly the outcome of a conflict. The Islamic theory and culture always emphasized a strong sense of community. Unlike the western emphasis on the individual as the basic unit of the society, Islamic culture and Islamic theory regard family as the basic unit. Accordingly It is indicated that the nineteenth century as the separation of religious and political authority is good for both public dialogue about matters of spiritual or religious significance. And the born of positivism point of views as a social science based bring to bear a way of scholars' thinking that denying transcendental perspectives. This book allows the reader to think critically the concepts of conflict management by using various perspective and faith. Thus, the practical level applying those concepts is indicated to be to bring about the integrative perspective of human being and its nature psycho-relationship.
