Theoretical Analysis of the Potential of Silver Carp Hypophthalmichthys Molitrix in the Control of Water Blooming by Different Species of Cyanobacteria
В работе проводится теоретический анализ возможности белого толстолобика
(Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) контролировать «цветение» водоемов некоторыми видами
цианобактерий. Для решения этой задачи построена имитационная модель, описывающая
сообщество цианобактерий в абстрактном водоеме. В качестве моделируемых видов выбраны
Anabaena flos-aquae и Microcystis aeruginosa. Модельные расчеты показывают, что интродукция
рыб в водоем подавляет развитие Anabaena flos-aquae. «Цветение» воды, формируемое
Microcystis aeruginosa,
The possibility to use silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) in the control of water blooming by
cyanobacteria is theoretically analyzed. To attain this goal the dynamic model has been developed,
describing communities of two species of cyanobacteria: Anabaena flos-aquae and Microcystis
aeruginosa, taking into account direct influence of silver carp on cyanobacteria growth - stimulation of
cyanobacteria growth rate and cyanobacteria digestion in fish gut. The calculation results have shown
that silver carp influences oppositely the formation of blooming by cyanobacteria species simulated.
Reservoir stocking with silver carp inhibits the development of Anabaena flos-aquae species. The
development of Microcystis aeruginosa is not constrained by silver carp. Forming blooming outbreaks
by this species is possible even with increasing stocking. One of the possible reasons may be the fact
that the Microcystis aeruginosa growth is stimulated after passing through fish gut. Therefore, when
planning biomanipulations using silver carp it is necessary to take into consideration the relationship
between fish and the different species of cyanobacteria. The success of such manipulations depends on
what species of cyanobacteria are dominant in the ecosystem in the blooming period

Origin and Evolution of High-Mg Carbonatitic and Low-Mg Carbonatitic to Silicic High-Density Fluids in Coated Diamonds from Udachnaya Kimberlite Pipe
Microinclusions of high-density fluids (HDFs) were studied in coated diamonds from the Udachnaya kimberlite pipe (Siberian craton, Russia). The presence of C-centers in the coats testifies to their formation shortly before kimberlite eruption, whereas the cores have much longer mantle residence in chemically different mantle substrates, i.e., peridotite-type (P-type) and eclogite-type (E-type). The carbon isotope composition indicates an isotopically homogeneous carbon source for coats and a heterogeneous source for cores. Microinclusions in the coats belong to two groups: high-Mg carbonatitic and low-Mg carbonatitic to silicic. A relationship was found between high-Mg carbonatitic HDFs and peridotitic host rocks and between low-Mg carbonatitic to silicic and eclogites. The composition of high-Mg carbonatitic HDFs with a “planed” trace-element pattern can evolve to low-Mg carbonatitic to silicic during percolation through different mantle rocks. The compositional variations of microinclusions in the coats reflect this evolution.</jats:p

Formation dynamics of phase and elemental composition of the oxalate-calcium nephrolithes
BACKGROUND: Fundamental investigation of the issue how various factors influence on origin and behavior of the nephrolithiasis is very actual because of necessity of the information about of early diagnostic methods as well as a prognostication. So, the information about of formation dynamics of phase and elemental composition of oxalate-calcic nephrolithes pending of lifetime of one patient is useful.
AIM: The aim of the investigation is to obtain the information about of elemental composition as well as phase composition of the one patient nephrolithes formed pending of lifetime.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: In the paper the data of the careful investigation of the elemental and phase composition of the two nephrolithes ablated from one patient at different times are presented. First nephrolith had been ablated from the right kidney in the March of 2002 (patient was 41 years old), subsequently second that had been did from the left kidney in the December of 2019 (patient was 58 years old; the nephrolith was found in 2012). The study was carried out using mass spectrometry and atomic adsorption spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma, infrared spectroscopy, X-ray phase analysis, CHN/S analysis.
RESULTS: Both calculi were calcium oxalate, predominantly Vevellite structures. The chemical composition of the both nephrolithes is alike. They contain microimpurities of all essential as well as conditionally essential elements. Quantities of the toxic elements in the nephrolithes are identical too. Microquantities of the nitrogen and sulphur indicate a presence of amino acids and proteins in the nephrolithes structure.
CONCLUSIONS: The results indicate that the nephrolithes with invariable phase and elemental composition would be forming in the different kidneys of one patient pending of lifetime.</jats:p
