Theoretical Zero Age Main Sequences revisited
Zero Age Main Sequence (ZAMS) models with updated physical inputs are
presented for selected assumptions about the chemical composition, covering the
ranges 0.6 < M/Mo < 1.2, 0.0001 < Z < 0.04, 0.23 < Y < 0.34.The HR diagram
location of the ZAMS as a function of Y and Z is discussed both in the
theoretical and in the observational HR diagrams, showing that the V magnitude
presents an increased dependence on Z to be taken into account when discussing
observational evidences. Analytical relations quantifying both these
dependences are derived. Implications for the galactic helium to heavier

Distributed Real-Time Hardware- and Man-in-the-loop Simulation for the ICARO II Unmanned Systems Autopilot
The autopilot market for small and research UAVs offers several products, but most of them,
although widely configurable or even open-source, do not constitute a practical and safe development system
for custom guidance, navigation and control systems. The ICARO project aims at providing the small UAV
community with a valid autopilot alternative. The ICARO autopilot exploits rapid control system prototyping
techniques and immersive manned simulation with the possibility of testing the autopilot using the Hardware-
In-the-Loop (HIL) approach. This paper describes the hardware-in-the-loop and man-in-the-loop simulator for
the ICARO II platform together with the synchronization protocol we developed to keep simulator and

Chemical constituents, radical scavenging activity and enzyme inhibitory capacity of fruits from Cotoneaster pannosus Franch
Cotoneaster pannosus (Rosaceae) is a semievergreen shrub, producing globose dark red pomes, native to China and widely used as an ornamental plant all over the world. Despite its extensive cultivation, little information is available on the chemical composition and biological activities of its fruits. In this work, the analysis of the chemical composition of C. pannosus fruits, in terms of phenolic components, carotenoids and ascorbic acid by HPLC/DAD, HPLC/ESI-MS and MS/MS as well as in terms of macro- and micronutrients was performed. The fruits proved to be a good source of shikimic acid and caffeoylquinic acids, whereas β-carotene, pelargonidin-3-O glucoside and cyanidin-3,5-rutinoside gave an important contribution to the color of the fruit. Both the polar and apolar fruit extracts showed noteworthy radical scavenger activity and inhibitory effects against monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A), tyrosinase (TYR) and α-glucosidase, making C. pannosus red pomes a promising candidate ingredient in functional foods and dietary supplements
