A Feasibility Study of Mini-Hydroelectric Power Plant for Seasonal Base Load
This paper presents a feasibility study of a mini-hydroelectric power plant for seasonal base load at the main campus of University of Abuja, along Airport Expressway, Abuja, Nigeria. The study was premised on the need to mitigate the insufficient electricity supply being experienced by the University. The use of backup diesel and petrol generating sets was noted to increased the overall operating costs of the University due to the need to purchase fuel, in addition to the associated maintenance cost. The presence of River Wuye within the University brought to fore the need to explore the establishment of a hydropower plant as an alternative means of mininmizing the energy shortage. The methodology adopted included determination of the University electricity demand using clamp-on meter, determination of the river run-off via data obtained from Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), flow rate with the use of float and river geometry, while the head was obtained by Global Positioning System (GPS). Furthermore, the hydroelectric power potential, site layout for equipment installation and project cost were determined. The results indicated that the monthly lowest energy consumption (base load) at the University during the period of study was at 667 kW, while the highest (peak) load was 883 kW. River Wuye assessment favoured conventional hydro power plant instead of hydro power plant technologies with out dam such as paddle wheel system as Giri river flow was low and seasonal. River Giri has run-off of 1,330 mm with the proposed dam estimated to have height and length of 10 m and 120 m, respectively. River Wuye has a flow rate of 14.5 m3/s, maximum head of 10 m and hydropower potential of about 855 kW. The cost of the proposed hydro power plant ranged from 80.3-615.6 million Naira (N) (equivalent to N93,960/kW- N720,000/kW or 2000/kW).The range arose due to variation on cost of refurbished or new turbine-generator system and civil works. The electricity generation unit cost from the hydropower plant is expected to be N24.74-50.14/kWh. This feasibility work is significant as it will aid commencement of detailed project report (DPR) that will highlight detailed study of hydrology and geology, environmental impact assessment, flood control and weir structures for a hydropower plant on River Wuye at 885 kW. In addition, when River Wuye has low flow, wind and solar power plants could be deployed to provide the shortfall in electricity supply to the University

Orientasi pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi dapat memicu pembangunan yang bias perkotaan dan diskriminasi terhadap wilayah perdesaan dan sektor pertanian, sehingga menyebabkan ketimpangan transfer sumberdaya dari desa ke kota. Kondisi ini dapat menimbulkan beberapa permasalahan seperti kesenjangan pendapatan antara masyarakat perdesaan dengan komunitas perkotaan, migrasi penduduk secara berlebihan dari wilayah perdesaan ke kawasan perkotaan, dan eksploitasi wilayah perdesaan yang cenderung kurang mengindahkan aspek lingkungan sehingga mengakibatkan kerusakan ekosistem dan kemiskinan masyarakat perdesaan. Sinergi kebijakan agropolitan dan pengembangan ekonomi lokal melalui rekayasa kelembagaan klaster ekonomi dan forum kemitraan dapat dianggap sebagai salah satu solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Idealnya sinergi kebijakan tersebut diimplementasikan mengacu pada langkah strategi seperti sosialisasi, konsolidasi, dan uji coba (fase awal) kegiatan dalam kerangka otonomi daerah
Sistem Telemetri Pemantau Gas Karbon Dioksida (Co2) Menggunakan Jaringan Wifi
This research has developed telemetry system for CO2 gas monitoring using MG811 gas sensor with Wifi network system. Telemetry sistem is very important because CO2 is lethal gas for human. This system allows for monitoring, data acquisition and early warning from somewhere far away from the gas source. This data acquisition system using MG811 gas sensor, ATmega8535 microcontroller and I2C communication protocol for data transfer between sensor and microcontroller. Data from microcontroller is sent to Wiz6000 using serial communication protocol. Wiz6000 is a serial to wifi module. Data from wiz6000 then read by computer that connected to Wifi network belong to wiz6000 with IP and port that suited with the configuration.CO2 gas sensor is being realized with reading the sensor value via I2C communication protocol with MG811 and ATmega8535 miconcontroller. After calibration, the linier coefficeient R = 0,997 toward standar CO2 meter. Data acquisition CO2 concentration with MG811 is sent via telemetry system using Wifi network that can be accessed using computer program. The program then will show the data real-time and showed in a table, chart and save them to MySQL database. This telemetry monitoring sistem also a early warning system that give a warning when the CO2 concentration increased above the safety standard
Pengaruh Kepuasan Kerja, Profesionalisme, dan Penerapan Teknologi Informasi terhadap Kinerja Auditor (Studi pada Kantor Bpk RI Perwakilan Provinsi Aceh)
This study is done at BPK RI branch office in Aceh Province which aim to know the influence of job satisfaction, professionalism, and information technology application toward auditor performance either simultaneously or partially.This research uses sample method. Respondents of this research are auditors at BPK RI branch office in Aceh Province. This research uses 52 auditors as samples of population 94 auditors by using stratified random sampling. The data used are primary data by using questionnaires to the respondents directly. Ddata are analyzed by using multiple linear regression.Results of this research indicate that by simultaneously job satisfaction, professionalism, and information technology application influence significanly toward auditor performance. Partially. job satisfaction, professionalism, and information technology application also influence significanly toward auditor performance

The background of this research is needed location selection priority to the fishing port development in one region. Defining this priority is important because 1) there is restricted allocation fund to the fishing port development and 2) the fishing port has been existence that can be influenced to other fishing port development. This objective research is defining the fishing port development priority at Rembang Regency and using Analytical Hierarchy Process Method to achievethis objective. Research result indicates that Tasik Agung coastal fishing port is main priority to develop, and the further priorities are Sarang Medur fish landing place, Karang Anyar fish landing place, Tanjungsari fish landing place and Pandangan fish landing place. Strategi Automasi Manajemen Keuangan Publik di Indonesia
Kebanyakan negara berkembang mengadopsi COTS IFMIS (Commercial Off The Self - Integrated Financial Management Information System) dalam automasi manajemen keuangan publik. IFMIS dipandang sebagai pendukung reformasi keuangan di negara-negara berkembang. Paper ini menyajikan analisis automasi manajemen keuangan publik di Indonesia yang dinilai sukses. Analisis didasarkan pada proses Perubahan prosedur keuangan dan pertimbangan faktor risiko dalam mengadopsi sistem informasi: cakupan, skedul dan anggaran biaya. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh beberapa temuan terkait Teknologi Informasi (TI), desain prosedur keuangan dan biaya. Dalam aspek strategi TI, proyek automasi manajemen keuangan di Indonesia melalui SPAN (Sistem Perbendaharaan dan Anggaran Negara) mempunyai risiko tinggi. Namun, dari aspek strategi desain prosedur keuangan dengan berbagai program tata kelola Perubahan yang mempengaruhi proses bisnis, TI dan organisasi, automasi melalui SPAN mulai dari penganggaran sampai akuntansi dan pelaporan dapat dikelola dengan baik. Dari aspek biaya, untuk menjamin keberlangsungan reformasi sistem, ditempuh dengan memanfaatkan dukungan kerja sama, pinjaman dan hibah luar negeri. Selain itu, terdapat beberapa tantangan dan permasalahan yang muncul seiring ukuran, skala, dan kompleksitas proyek SPAN.
