    Perilaku Penunggu Pasien di Rumah Sakit Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara (suatu Kajian Tentang Antropologi Ruang)

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ruang yang tersedia dengan kegiatan pengguna ruang pada rumah sakit Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara, serta faktor-faktor apa yang menyebabkan timbulnya pola perilaku penunggu pasien dan hubungan antara ruang yang tersedia dengan kegiatan menunggu pasien. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, Pendekatan kualitatif lebih menekankan pada adanya pemahaman bukan pada pencarian kebenaran. Oleh karena itu metode yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam dan pengamatan terlibat. Hasil penelitian ini adalah perilaku menunggui pasien dalam jumlah yang lebih dari satu orang di rumah sakit Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara, sama dengan perilaku penunggu pasien yang terjadi di rumah-rumah sakit di Indonesia yang merupakan gejala yang sangat umum terjadi. Yang diperkirakan akan tetap berlangsung sampai waktu yang tidak bias diramalkan. Perilaku tersebut timbul dari adanya budaya yang melatar belakangi kehidupan bersama dalam kelompok. Sebagai makhluk social, manusia mempunyai kecenderungan untuk hidup dalam kelompok. Kehidupan bersama dalam kelompok ini berbeda antara masyarakat sederhana yang hidup di pedesaan dengan masyarakat kompleks yang hidup di kota. Ditinjau dari sisi pasien maka keberadaan penunggu pasien masih merupakan hal yang sangat dibutuhkan sebagai penyeimbang terhadap rasa takut dan tertekan akibat suasana asing rumah sakit dengan segala peralatan, obat-obatan dan tenaga paramedic yang harus dihadapinya. Kehadiran penunggu pasien dalam hal ini keluarga, kerabat dan teman, merupakan factor yang dapat dipercaya dapat memberikan ketenangan bagi si pasien yang pada gilirannya kemudian akan berdampak pada keluarga dan kerabat di pasien, yang secara langsung mengamati perkembangan kesehatan si pasien. Dengan dan komunikasi antara pasien dan keluarga yang akan memberikan dampak positif bagi pasien yang tetap terjaganya interaksi menungguinya. Kata Kunci: Prilaku, Pasien, Penunggu, Antropologi Ruan

    Problem-Based Learning as a Learning Innovation Strategy To Improve the Motivation and Learning Outcomes of Distance Learning

    Distance learning, which lasted long during the COVID-19 emergency, has led to student boredom in participating in the learning process. The impact is a decrease in learning outcomes, so innovative learning methods are needed to minimize this. This study will analyze the application of problem-based learning by considering learning outcomes and student motivation. The subjects of this study were 5th-semester Mechanical Engineering students. The design of this study used classroom action using the Kemmis and McTaggart models, which consisted of three steps: planning, acting and observing, reflecting, and carried out in two cycles. The research data was then analyzed quantitatively based on predetermined indicators. Based on this research study, it was found that learning outcomes data increased by 36% from cycle I to cycle II. The results of student learning motivation in Process I were 27.3% had high learning cycles, 63.7% had moderate learning cycles, and 9.9%. In cycle II, students' learning motivation increased from high, medium, and low, respectively, by 45%, 52%, and 3%. Based on the results of the analysis, this means that problem-based learning strategies improve learning outcomes and student learning motivation.Pembelajaran jarak jauh merupakan salah satu kebijakan pendidikan selama masa darurat COVID-19. Hal ini dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk menjaga proses pendidikan agar tidak berhenti meski dalam suasana pandemi. Namun, pembelajaran jarak jauh yang telah berlangsung cukup lama juga menimbulkan masalah. Kejenuhan peserta didik dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran akan berdampak pada penurunan hasil belajar, sehingga diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang inovatif untuk meminimalisir hal tersebut. salah satunya dengan menerapkan problem based learning. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis bagaimana menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan mempertimbangkan hasil dan motivasi belajar siswa. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan tindakan kelas menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari tiga langkah, yaitu: merencanakan, bertindak dan mengamati, merefleksikan yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Data penelitian kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif berdasarkan indikator yang telah ditentukan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di masa pandemi COVID-19 dan meminimalisir kebosanan siswa yang menyebabkan rendahnya motivasi peserta didik. Data hasil belajar meningkat sebesar 36% dari siklus I ke siklus II. Hasil motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I adalah 27,3% siswa yang memiliki siklus belajar tinggi, 63,7% memiliki siklus belajar sedang dan 9,9%.     The research titled “Bima\u27s Women and Post Disaster Mitigation Adaption Strategy for flash floods (Case Study of Women in Maintaining family Economics After The Flash Floods Disaster in Bima)” Takes place in Nisa Village, Woha Subdistrict, Bima District. By doing this research, the researcher are expected to be able to: (1) knowing in depth the adaptive strategy done by women in reconstructing their social life after flash floods disaster, (2) knowing the change of life after flash floods, (3) knowing the obstacles faced by women in the implementation post flash floods adaptive strategy. This research uses explorative qualitative research method. The research location is located in Nisa Village, Woha District, Bima District, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The subjects of this study were women housewives and Nisa village apparatus. Data were collected through interviews and observations to collect information on adavtive strategies, changes in post-flash floods life, and the constraints faced by women in implementing adaptive strategies after the flash floods disaster. Further data analysis by performing several stages that include data collection, data classification, interpretation to the writing of research reports. The results of this research show that (i) Nisa village women experiencing changes in economic, social and cultural life after the disaster flash floods. (ii) adaptive strategies implemented by Nisa village women in sustaining their household economies, among others, by active strategies in the form of exploiting natural resources and human resources from close relatives, extending working hours, and working to reduce family economic expenditure. The network strategy undertaken by Nisa village women is by owing the banks and neighbors. (iii) the constraints faced by women in Nisa village in carrying out an effective strategy are the loss of some natural resources that can support economic recovery , large losses due to flood disaster become an obstacle in economic recovery, and lack of acces to village economic institutions

    PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM SOLVING LABORATORY TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP KALOR PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 4 PALU

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep kalor melalui penerapan model pembelajaran problem solving laboratory pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Palu. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan the non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Palu. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Kelas X MIA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen pemahaman konsep berupa tes esai yang telah divalidasi oleh validator. Peningkatan rata-rata N-gain yang mengikuti model pembelajaran problem solving laboratory adalah 27,17% yang berkriteria rendah dan peningkatan rata-rata yang mengikuti model konvensional menggunakan metode eksperimen dan demonstrasi adalah 4,15%. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep kalor berdasarkan kategori kelompok kemampuan rendah, sedang dan tinggi untuk kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran problem solving laboratory adalah 13,89 % kategori tinggi, 31.08 % kategori sedang dan 40 % kategori rendah. Hasil perhitungan statistik dari pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t didapatkan harga t hitung sebesar 8,10 dan t tabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 58 adalah 1,67. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep kalor melalui penerapan model pembelajaran problem solving laboratory pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Palu.     Sound Intensity Measuring Instrument Based on Arduino Board with Data Logger System

    The government set the average sound intensity in the morning and evening around the non-noise places of worship is 55 dB. Measuring instrument the intensity of sounds around places of worship during the day and night is needed to record data during the day and night. Arduino board is a combination of hardware and software with low resource requirements, which allows user to interact with objects (physical quantities) in the vicinity. Keyes- 037 microphone sound sensor module is a high-sensitivity sound detector. SKU-316412 is a data logging system equipped with an SD card interface for memory cards capable of storing 32 MB to 8 GB of data. The arduino and it's both modules can be assembled into a measuring instrument and sound recording intensity to be placed in the desired places

    The quality of parent-children relationship and resilience among parents with children with intellectual disabilityPurposehis study was conducted to know the relation between quality of parent-child relationship and resilience among parents of children with intellectual disability.MethodsThis cross-sectional study was conducted from June - July 2015 at SLB N 1 Bantul Yogyakarta city while the instrument test was conducted on 20 parents who had children with intellectual disability in SLB Darma Bhakti Piyungan, Yogyakarta. The population in this study were all parents with children with intellectual disability in SLB N 1 Bantul from TKLB level to SMALB. The samples were 60 respondents.ResultsThis study found no association between the quality of parent-child relationships with parental resilience with intellectual disability children. ConclusionThe authors suggest that resilience variables are not directly linked to the variable quality of relations but there are also other variables that influence it such as social support and others

    Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Menggunakan Asesmen Ranking Task Exercise (RTE) terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Hukum Newton

    Abstrak- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan asesmen Rangking Task Exercise (RTE) pada materi hukum Newton kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 5 Palu. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan Nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 5 Palu. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen pemahaman konsep berupa tes pilihan ganda yang telah divalidasi oleh validator. Peningkatan rata-rata N-gain yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan latihan RTE adalah 33,64% dan peningkatan rata-rata yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan lembar kerja kelompok adalah 40,04%. Analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat normalitas dan homogenitas dengan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 64. Hasil perhitungan statistik dari pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t didapatkan harga t hitung sebesar 0,35 dan t tabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 64 adalah 1,99. Disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep secara signifikan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan asesmen RTE pada materi hukum Newton pada kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 5 Palu.     A research on the inhibition of formula gel test ethanol extract of leaves of mulberry (Morus alba L.) as an anti-acne against bacteria Propionibacterium acne. This study uses a gel formulation made using mulberry leaf extract (Morus alba L.), which aims to determine the inhibition of antibacterial gel mulberry leaf extract (Morus alba L.) against the bacteria Propionibacterium acne. Gel made three dosage concentrations of 2%, 4% and 6%. Testing inhibition of antibacterial gel agar diffusion method. Test Antibacterial inhibition obtained by looking at the clear zone in the medium and measured using calipers.     Efektifitas Kombinasi Terapi Kukusan Labu Siam dan Senam Anti Stroke terhadap Penurunan Tekanan Darah pada Pasien dengan Hipertensi

    The purpose of the research is to analize the effectivity of combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises for reduce blood pressure to patiens hypertension. The research used quasy experiment design with non-equivalent control group which divided into experimental group and control group. Sample of this research is 30 people divided into 19 people as the experimental group and 19 people as a control group. Sample in this research taken using purposive sampling of techniques sampling which selected based on inclusion criteria. The equipment was used to measure blood pressure is sphygmomanometer. The experimental group were given interventions with combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises on every morning in three days. Data analysis applied were univariate and bivariate using dependent sample t test and independent sample t test. The result of the reearch showed that mean of the average systolic and diastolic blood pressure before given combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises was 151.23 mmHg and 94.74 mmHg. While mean of the average systolic and diastolic blood pressure after a given combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises of 143.16 mmHg and 89.82 mmHg were mean blood pressure decreased significantly after intervention given by p value 0,000 (<0,05). The conclusion of combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises can reduce blood pressure for patients hypertension

    Indonesian and Western Perspectives on Shackling the Mentally Ill

    BACKGROUND: Mental illness has become a serious problem in Indonesia. Many people with severe mental disorders remain untreated or drop out of the care service system and eventually end up being shackled. Although attention to human right in Indonesia has grown, physical restraint of people with mental disorders remains prevalent. This study aimed to compare the Indonesian and Western perspectives pertaining to shackling the mentally ill. SUBJECT AND METHODS: This was a systematic review. The data were mined from news, research and studies pertinent to restrained mentally ill patients. Literature was searched from Google scholar, BMC, BMJ, and the Cochrane library. The key words used in the English language were “shackling and schizophrenia”, and “restraint and mental illnesses”. The Indonesian words included “pemasungan gangguan jiwa”. Searches were conducted until August 2015, resulting in 45 articles that consisted of 36 research articles and 9 non-research articles. Two of the 45 articles were duplicate. RESULTS: The theme of shackling in Indonesian perspective consists of: (1) Misguided perception of families and communities on people with mental illnesses (PMI); (2) Family and community treatment of PMI; (3) Lack of continuity in service programs between psychiatric hospitals, com-munity health centers, and communities. The theme of shackling in Western perspective consists of: (1) The impacts of restraint and shackling; (2) Restraint and shackling prevention; (3) There are no studies on the advantages of physical restraint. CONCLUSION: Research and news obtained from Indonesian articles consist of misguided perception pertaining to PMI and their treatment. Western articles include the impact of shackling PMI and prevention. It is essential to empower communities to raise awareness on mental illness and to provide correct information on treatment and the obligation to prevent shackling the mentally ill persons in Indonesia.
