    Indonesia merupakan Negara yang banyak lembah, bukit dan gunung berapi. Sehingga setiap tahun, Indonesia banyak terjadi bencana alam tanah longsor. Tanah longsor adalah perpindahan material pembentuk lereng berupa batuan, bahan rombakan, tanah, atau material campuran tersebut, bergerak ke bawah atau keluar lereng. Penelitian ini mencoba membangun suatu system peringatan dini tanah longsor dengan menggunakan mikrokontroler ATMEGA8535. Pada saat tanah bergeser lebih 4 cm dan curah hujan perhari mencapai 100 mm/hari, maka sistem ini akan membunyikan sirine bahaya dan akan menghubungi perangkat desa agar mengevakuasi warganya.     Among metallic biomaterials, AISI 316L has the cheapest price yet but the lowest mechanical properties and it is prone to corrosion. Bone plate failure is often triggered by dynamics load, crevice or pitting corrosion, or a combination of fatigue and crevice or pitting corrosion attack at the same time. Shot peening and plasma nitriding are surface treatments that enhance material properties. This work examined the shot peening duration effects and plasma nitriding on surface to the depth hardness, roughness, droplet contact angle, and fatigue life in environment containing rich chloride ions. The results revealed that shot peening and plasma nitriding improved both surface layer roughness and hardness. Furthermore, shot peening and plasma nitriding reduced droplet contact angle and enhanced the fatigue life of the material

    The objective of this research was to study the effect of substitution of sticky rice flour with sago flour on the quality of milk sweet pastry. As treatments, the sticky rice flour was substituted with 5 levels of sago flour: 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 %. Each treatment consisted of 3 replicates. Parameter measured included: moisture content, consistency and organolptic characters. Data were statistically analyzed by variance analysis in randomized block design (RBD) and followed with Duncan\u27s Multiple Range test. The results showed that the use of sago flour in different levels gave highly significant effect (P<0.01) on moisture content, consistency and texture of pastry. Subtitution of sticky rice flour by 50 % of sago flour produced the best quality of pastry

    The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of wood species and adhesive type on durability three layers particleboard to subterranean termite attack. The research method using grave yard test on the field. Samples were oven dried before test, furthermore samples were burried for 3 month. After that, samples were washed, cleaned and oven dried. Furthermore, the measuring of weight sample to determine of weight loos parameter.The results showed that sengon and mahoni wood combination able to reduce of termite attack level compared with homogenous wood particleboard. Sengon as surface layer and mahoni as core layer resulted the best durability of board. The durability of UF adhesive for manufacturing particleboard better than combination UF and MF particleboard
