Heat transfer of a nanofluid over a stretching sheet with velocity slip and temperature jump in porous medium in the presence of chemical reaction and radiation
In this study, heat transfer of a nanofluid over a stretching sheet with velocity slip and temperature jump in porous medium in the presence of chemical reaction and radiation is theoretically investigated. The governing partial differential equations with the corresponding boundary conditions are reduced to a set of ordinary differential equations via Lie group analysis. Numerical solutions of these equations are obtained by Runge-Kutta fourth order method along with shooting technique and the results obtained for different governing flow parameters are drawn graphically and their effects on velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are discussed. The reduced Nusselt number and reduced Sherwood number are presented in tabular form. It is noted that the reduced Nusselt number increases with the increase of Prandtl number but the reduced Sherwood number decreases. The effect of temperature jump parameter decreases the reduced Nusselt number and reduced Sherwood number
Juvenile granulosa cell tumour: a rare clinical entity
Ovarian cancer is the third most common neoplasm of the female genital tract. Based on the cell type of origin, primary ovarian malignancies are classified into surface epithelium, germ cell, and sex cord tumors. Sex cord tumors account for 1% to 2% of ovarian malignancies. They may contain granulosa cells, theca cells, sertoli cells, or fibroblasts of gonadal stromal origin. Granulosa Cell Tumours (GCTs) account for approximately 2-5% of all ovarian tumors and can be divided into adult (95%) and juvenile (5%) types based on histologic findings. GCTs secrete estrogen thus resulting in menstrual irregularities in the affected individual. More serious estrogen effects can occur in various end organs such as uterus resulting in endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial adenocarcinomas and increased risk of breast cancers. Androgen production is also reported but rare and produces virilization in the affected women. Juvenile Granulosa Cell Tumours (JGCTs) are clinically & histopathologically distinct from the GCTs. They are rarely encountered but mostly in youngsters. Surgery is the primary modality of treatment with chemotherapy being reserved for advanced or recurrent disease states. We herewith report an interesting case of JGCT in a young teenage girl.
Sensory and nutritional quality of Moringa oleifera leaf powder incorporated multi-millet ready to eat (RTE) snack
204-209The present study aimed at developing value-added multi-millet ready to eat (RTE) snack by incorporating Moringa oleifera (Drumstick) leaf powder (MOLP) at different concentrations viz., 0%, 5%, 10% 15% and evaluation of corresponding sensory and nutritional properties. The sensory evaluation revealed that newly formulated 5% MOLP snacks had higher overall sensory acceptability after control snacks. Besides, nutritional values also demonstrated that MOLP (15%) incorporated multi millet snacks contained abundant minerals including iron 99.09±0.6 mg/kg, zinc 20.27±0.3 mg/kg and calcium 4374±22.7 mg/kg. The protein (9.681±0.01 g/100 g) and antioxidants (230.6±0.46 µg/100 g) contents were also (pMoringa powder in RTE snacks production could be used to develop functional food with enhanced minerals, protein and antioxidants
