    Coastal villages have direct access to coastal ecosystems, mangroves, seagrass beds, and coral reef ecosystems. Socio-ecologically, coastal villages have a linkage and dependence between coastal community activities and the existence of ecosystems/ecology. Knowledge of coastal areas is important for the people living around the area. Community Service is focused on teenagers/youth as part of the community with an educative counseling approach to the students of SMP Negeri Satu Atap Sather which aims to foster a sense of love and care for the coastal area and the ecosystem in it.     C. amboinensis dalam Bahasa lokal Maluku disebut Turpepel, sering dilaporkan kemunculannya di hutan sepanjang DAS waimamokang Desa Halong. Penurunan populasi hingga 50-80% dalam 20 tahun terakhir mengakibatkan perlu evualuasi kembali dan hasilnya menempatkan spesies ini masuk dalam kategori konservasi lebih tinggi yaitu Endangered (EN). Analisa data dilakukan secara deskripif dengan melakukan pengukuran langsung pada karapas, plastron, kepala, kaki dan massa dari setiap individu. Deskriptif karakter morfologi dijelaskan secara akurat sesuai dengan fakta yang ditemukan di lapangan. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan 7 individu Turpepel (C. amboinensis) dimana 6 diantaranya berkelamin jantan dan 1 berkelamin betina. Karapas tersusun atas lempengan yang keras berbentuk segi enam yang simetris vertikal. Plastron dapat digerakan terutama pada bagian yang dekat dengan kepala dan ekor. Seluruh bagian kepala dapat disembunyikan, dan tidak ada perbedaan yang terlalu signifikan antara panjang dan lebar pada kaki depan dan kaki belakan

    Birds are an important component in a forest ecosystem. Birds play a role in pollination, seed dispersers, pest control, and even their droppings provide nutrients for the soil. After the earthquake in Ambon and surrounding areas in September 2019, many people fled to the forest. This research was conducted in Waai village to inventory the species of birds in the forest (HA) and forests that were converted into post-earthquake refuge (HP) using the list of bird species and natural sciences. The results show that 8 species of birds were found at the HA location while 3 species of birds were found at the HP location. The highest species abundance was Passer montanus at both locations. The lowest abundance value on HA is Todirhamphus chloris and Ducula bicolor, while on HP is Leptocoma aspasia. Diversity index analysis shows 1.67 index on HA and 0.86 on HP

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keberhasilan implantasi tikus Rattus norvegicus terpapar asap rokok pasca diterapi ektrak etanol rumput kebar (Biophytum petersianum Klotzsch). Penelitian mengggunakan metode eksperimental laboratorik dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan yang masing-masing diulang tiga kali, yaitu (-): Kelompok kontrol negatif yaitu tikus yang tidak diberi perlakuan, (+): Kelompok kontrol positif yaitu tikus dipaparkan asap rokok selama 28 hari, (0.067): Kelompok tikus yang dipapar asap rokok selama 28 hari kemudian diberi ekstrak etanol rumput kebar dengan dosis 0.067mg/ekor/hari selama 28 hari, dan (0.135): Kelompok tikus yang dipapar asap rokok selama 28 hari kemudian diberi ekstrak etanol rumput kebar dengan dosis 0.135mg/ekor/hari selama 28 hari. Setelah itu, semua tikus dikawinkan. Pengamatan jumah korpus luteum pada organ ovarium dan titik implantasi pada organ uterus tikus dilakukan pada usia kebuntingan 12 hari. Data yang dianalisis dengan analysis of variance (ANOVA)-SPSS versi 16.0 dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan dengan selang kepercayaan 95% (α = 0.05) dan metode nonparametric. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak etanol rumput kebar (Byophytum petersianum Klotzsch) dengan dosis 0.135 mg/ekor/hari mampu meningkatkan keberhasilan implantasi tikus Rattus norvegicus

    The waters of Kampung Baru Village are one of the waters in Banda Island, Central Maluku Regency, which has an abundance of marine life. The substrate conditions in these waters are rocky, rocky and sandy, surrounded by seagrass. On the coast of Kampung Baru Village, there are many marine biota, including crustaceans, gastropods, bivalves, echinoderms, sea cucumbers, starfish and others. Sea urchins are one of the most important biota because people in Kampung Baru Village use their gonads for daily consumption. The existence of sea urchins in coral reef ecosystems has a significant effect on the ecological balance. The purpose of this study was to determine the community structure of sea urchins in the coastal areas of Kampung Baru, Central Maluku Regency. It is necessary to do so so that the presence of sea urchins can be known so that the balance is well monitored. The method used is a quadratic linear transect. The results showed that the diversity of sea urchin species on the coast of the village of Kampung Baru, Banda Island, Central Maluku was 0.815, including the low category. The value of dominance is 0.512, which means there is a tendency for species to dominate. The density value is 0.065 and the distribution value is 0.277 which is included in the uniform category.     Sustainable agriculture systems utilizing PGPR (Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria) have the potential to increase due to their environmentally friendly and practical nature, to replace the increasing use of chemical-based fertilizers and pesticides. Peanut (Arachis hypogea L) local variety Maybrat is a plant that has the potential to be isolated by bacteria in its rhizosphere area to be used as a biostimulant candidate. This study aimed to determine the type of rhizobacteria in the rhizosphere area associated with local varieties of peanuts in the Maybrat Regency and obtain superior rhizobacteria for biostimulants (PGPR). A total of 8 isolates were successfully isolated from peanut rhizosphere and based on physiological characteristics showed that KM2 isolates produced the highest IAA of 2,625 mg l-1, and KM8 isolates produced the highest GA3 concentration of 4.19 mg l-1. KM7 isolates produce salicylates with the highest concentration of 0.788 mg l-1, while KM3 isolates produce the highest type of catechols of 1.89 mg l-1. The KM8 isolate is capable of dissolving the highest phosphate of 12.46 mg l-1. Cyanide production tests showed that all eight bacterial isolates did not have the ability to produce cyanide.  Based on physiological characteristics, it shows that these 8 isolates have the potential to be biostimulants and biofertilizers for plants

    Pendahuluan. Yoghurt merupakan produk hasil fermentasi yang mengandung asam laktat, dengan tambahan buah sebagai sumber prebiotiknya. Sirsak (Anonna muricata L.) mengandung serat pangan dan protein yang memberikan energi bagi proses metabolisme dalam yoghurt sehingga meningkatkan jumlah bakteri asam laktat dan menghasilkan lebih banyak senyawa antibakteri. Penambahan wine pala pada yoghurt buah sirsak dapat memberikan cita rasa pada yoghurt yang mengandung zat aktif yaitu alkaloid yang bekerja sebagai antioksidan primer. Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri dan aktivitas antioksidan dari yoghurt sari buah sirsak dengan penambahan wine pala. Metode. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode hitung cawan (Total Plate Count) untuk pengujian total BAL (Bakteri Asam Laktat), metode sumuran (Well diffusion) untuk uji aktivitas antibakteri, dan metode DPPH (2,2-difenil-1-pikrilhidrazil) untuk uji aktivitas antioksidan. Hasil. Hasil menunjukkan total BAL yoghurt sari buah sirsak yang terbaik pada konsentrasi 25% (9×107). Nilai pH dari yoghurt sari buah sirsak berkisar antara 3-4. Hasil pengujian antibakteri menunjukan terbentuk zona bening di konsentrasi 75% pada Eschericia coli ATCC 8739 (2,67 mm) dan Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 (8,33 mm). Aktivitas antioksidan yang terbaik pada konsentrasi 25% (53,59%). Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan total pH, total bakteri asam laktat, dan aktivitas antioksidan, yoghurt sari buah sirsak dengan penambahan wine pala yang baik adalah konsentrasi 25%. Kesimpulan. Yoghurt konsentrasi sirsak 75% dengan penambahan wine pala memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang baik terhadap E.coli dan S. aureus, sedangkan konsentrasi 25% menunjukkan nilai total BAL, pH, dan aktivitas antioksidan yang paling baik
