Application of a Revised Moliere Theory to the Description of the Landau-Pomeranchuk Effect
Using the Coulomb corrections to some important parameters of a revised
Moliere multiple scattering theory, we have obtained analytically and
numerically the Coulomb corrections to the quantities of the Migdal theory of
the Landau-Pomeranchuk (LPM) effect for sufficiently thick targets. We showed
that the Coulomb correction to the spectral bremsstrahlung rate of this theory
allows completely eliminating the discrepancy between the theory and experiment

Analysys of magnetic field homogenity at computer tomography
Práce se zabývá nukleární magnetickou rezonancí, jejími zobrazovacími technikami, měřením magnetické indukce a posouzením homogenity magnetického pole pomocí měřící sondy. Je zde uveden základní fyzikální popis chování spinu v magnetickém poli. Dále jsou popsány metody pro měření NMR. Práce je zaměřena na metody spinového a gradientního echa. V experimentální části je popsáno měření homogenity magnetického pole v tomografu a následné zobrazení mapy měřeného pole. Uživatelská aplikace, vytvořená v rámci práce, má za úkol více usnadnit práci se zobrazování magnetických polí.The dissertation deals with nuclear magnetic resonance, its projection technologies, measurement of magnetic induction and evaluation of magnetic field homogenity by the help of measuring probe. Further, the methods of NMR measurements are being described. The dissertation concentrates on methods of spin and gradient echo. The experimental part describes measurement of magnetic field homogenity in tomography and subsequent projection of measured field map. Users application, created in terms of dissertation, has more save labour imagery magnetic fields.
Design and evaluation of a sensor fail-operational control system for a digitally controlled turbofan engine
A self-learning, sensor fail-operational, control system for the TF30-P-3 afterburning turbofan engine was designed and evaluated. The sensor fail-operational control system includes a digital computer program designed to operate in conjunction with the standard TF30-P-3 bill-of-materials control. Four engine measurements and two compressor face measurements are tested. If any engine measurements are found to have failed, they are replaced by values synthesized from computer-stored information. The control system was evaluated by using a realtime, nonlinear, hybrid computer engine simulation at sea level static condition, at a typical cruise condition, and at several extreme flight conditions. Results indicate that the addition of such a system can improve the reliability of an engine digital control system
