The Pros and Cons of Using Machine Learning and Interpretable Machine Learning Methods in psychiatry detection applications, specifically depression disorder: A Brief Review

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many people to limit their social activities, which has resulted in a rise in mental illnesses, particularly depression. To diagnose these illnesses with accuracy and speed, and prevent severe outcomes such as suicide, the use of machine learning has become increasingly important. Additionally, to provide precise and understandable diagnoses for better treatment, AI scientists and researchers must develop interpretable AI-based solutions. This article provides an overview of relevant articles in the field of machine learning and interpretable AI, which helps to understand the advantages and disadvantages of using AI in psychiatry disorder detection applications.Comment: 12 page

The effects of Lactobacilli from raw meat beef on E. coli O157: H7

Background and aims: Lactobacilli are widely distributed in the nature and are present almost everywhere. Because the bacteria are present in various food products, they are used for many years in foods. Studies show lactobacilli has antibacterial properties. The aim of this study was to isolate and identify the species of Lactobacillus from raw beef meat samples and evaluate their antibacterial properties. Methods: In this experimental study, 72 samples of raw beef meat were obtained from slaughterhouses of Sanandaj city. Isolates were evaluated using phenotypic methods (morphology, gram stain and catalase test). In order to identify more precisely, the fermentation of sugars test and molecular polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods were used. Then, agar well diffusion and spot on plate methods were used to evaluate antibacterial properties of lactobacilli against E. coli O157: H7. Results: A total of 8 species Lactobacilli were isolated from raw beef meat and identified by chemical and molecular methods. The results showed that these 8 species of lactobacilli inhibited E. coli O157: H7 well. These results statistically was considered significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The results of this study show that raw beef meat has different lactobacilli that can be used as a biological control in foods

Prevalence of Coenurus cerebralis in sheep in Northwest of Iran

AbstractThis survey was carried out to determine the infection rate of Coenurus cerebralis in Urmiaabattoir, West Azerbaijan, Iran. A total of 402 sheep heads were examined and the number ofC. cerebralis cysts per each head was recorded. Thirty three sheep heads were examined eachmonth during 12 months from 2006 to 2007. Of 402 heads, a number of 75 heads (18.65%)were infected with C. cerebralis. The cysts located in the left and right hemispheres andcerebellum were 54.63%, 40.20% and 5.15%, respectively. The infected heads contained 1-4cysts. The highest and lowest prevalence were detected in sheep in March (42.42%) and in July(2.94%), respectively. The infection rates according to age of sheep were 42.02% in 0.5 to 2years, 22.50% in 2 to 4 years and 8.92% in older than 4 years. The age specific infection ratesamong age groups were significantly differed (P < 0.05). Infection rate in Haraki breed(27.77%) was higher comparing to the rate in the Ghezel breed (21.13%) and Makoie breed(23.91%). However differences between sheep breeds were not statistically significant (P > 0.05)

The most fundamental decision-making criteria that may be involved as investors include  EPS, DPS dividends of the shareholders. Since the company's EVA economic value can be measured properly, therefore, we decided to study the relationship between EPS and DPS and EVA, a way to achieve the main goal of maximizing the wealth of the investors through investments made ​​to increase the earned profits.  In this article, EPS and DPS data of 21 companies from 50 leading companies in Tehran Stock Exchange for the years 2009 to 2012 were collected according to available information. The relationship between conditional conservatism in accounting and firm’s profits margin among the companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange

This study investigated the relationship between conditional conservatism in accounting and profit margins of listed companies in Tehran Stock Exchange for the years 2008 to 2011 (a period of 4 years old) pays. For this purpose, a definition of theory and data about 156 companies were collected. This study was conducted to measure conditional conservatism index of Ahmad and Dolman model (2007). Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Pearson correlation coefficient were used for the analysis. The findings of this study show that there is a statistically significant relation between the conditional conservatism in accounting and profit margins of listed companies in Tehran Stock Exchange although the intensity of this relationship is weak

Bacteria Associated with Subcutaneous Abscesses of Cattle Caused by Hypoderma spp Larvae in North of Iran

This study was performed from February to April 2006; several visits were made to abattoirs in the north of Iran for Hypoderma spp infestation. Necropsy inspection of slaughtered and skinned animals were carried out by examination of the inner skin surface and subcutaneous tissues. Warbles were isolated by squeezing nodules from subcutaneous tissues. In the case of abscess presence, aseptic sample were taken from abscesses. The parasitological and bacteriological examinations were performed on the samples. The results indicated that 104 out of 958 of slaughtered animals were infested to Hypoderma spp in which 48 (46.15 %), 34 (32.69 %) and 22 (21.15 %) were infested to Hypoderma bovis, Hypoderma lineatum and both species, respectively. Following bacterial analysis, the following bacteria were isolated: Escherichia coli, Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Klebsiella pneumonia

Antibacterial, antioxidant and optical properties of edible starch-chitosan composite film containing Thymus kotschyanus essential oil

Thyme Essential oils (EO) with antimicrobial and antioxidant properties are widely used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and perfume industry. It is also used for flavoring and preservation of several foods. Nowadays, packaging research is receiving a considerable attention due to the development of eco-friendly materials made from natural polymers such as starch and chitosan. In this study Thymus kotschyanus EO concentrations ranging from 0 to 2.0%, incorporated in starch-chitosan composite (S-CH) film were used. Antimicrobial and antioxidant properties significantly increased with the incorporation of EO (p &lt; 0.05). Incorporating EO, increased total color differences (DE), yellowness index (YI) and whiteness index (WI) which were significantly higher than control and its transparency was reduced. Our results pointed out that the incorporation of Thymus kotschyanus EO as a natural antibacterial agent has potential for using the developed film as an active packaging
