    Uniqueness theorems for meromorphic mappings sharing hyperplanes in general position

    The purpose of this article is to study the uniqueness problem for meromorphic mappings from Cn\mathbb{C}^{n} into the complex projective space PN(C).\mathbb{P}^{N}(\mathbb{C}). By making using of the method of dealing with multiple values due to L. Yang and the technique of Dethloff-Quang-Tan respectively, we obtain two general uniqueness theorems which improve and extend some known results of meromorphic mappings sharing hyperplanes in general position.Comment: 10 page

    Residence of Habitat-Specific Anammox Bacteria in the Deep-Sea Subsurface Sediments of the South China Sea: Analyses of Marker Gene Abundance with Physical Chemical Parameters

    Anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) has been recognized as an important process for the global nitrogen cycle. In this study, the occurrence and diversity of anammox bacteria in the deep-sea subsurface sediments of the South China Sea (SCS) were investigated. Results indicated that the anammox bacterial sequences recovered from this habitat by amplifying both 16S rRNA gene and hydrazine oxidoreductase encoding hzo gene were all closely related to the Candidatus Scalindua genus. A total of 96 16S rRNA gene sequences from 346 clones were grouped into five subclusters: two subclusters affiliated with the brodae and arabica species, while three new subclusters named zhenghei-I, -II, and -III showed ≤97.4% nucleic acid sequence identity with other known Candidatus Scalindua species. Meanwhile, 88 hzo gene sequences from the sediments also formed five distant subclusters within hzo cluster 1c. Through fluorescent real-time PCR analysis, the abundance of anammox bacteria in deep-sea subsurface sediment was quantified by hzo genes, which ranged from 1.19 × 104 to 7.17 × 104 copies per gram of dry sediments. Combining all the information from this study, diverse Candidatus Scalindua anammox bacteria were found in the deep-sea subsurface sediments of the SCS, and they could be involved in the nitrogen loss from the fixed inventory in the habitat

    Effect of Zicao ointment on second-degree burns in rats

    Purpose: To investigate the healing effect of Zicao Ointment (ZCO) on second-degree burns in rats.Methods: Male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats, weighing 200 – 220 g, were subjected to deep seconddegree skin burns by electrical scald instrument. The animals were divided into three groups as follows: (1) second-degree burns (control) group, (2) burns treated with 1 % silver sulfadiazine (SSD) group, and (3) second-degree burns treated with ZCO group. On days 3, 7 and 14 following administration of thedrug or ZCO, wound area and histopathological changes of rat epidermis were evaluated for the various groups.Results: On day 14, mean wound area of ZCO treatment group (0.28 ± 0.04 cm2) was significantly smaller than that of the control rats (2.63 ± 0.19 cm2, p < 0.01). Histological results indicate that inflammatory cells disappeared and were replaced by new granulation tissue by day 14 in the group treated with ZCO. Compared with SSD group rats, the inflammatory cells decreased and fibroblast and granulation tissues increased significantly in burnt rats treated with ZCO.Conclusion: Zicao Ointment is effective for the treatment of second-degree burns in rats and may be suitable for clinical therapy of second-degree burns.Keywords: Zicao ointment, Second-degree burns, Healing, Rat epidermis, Silver sulfadiazin

    An Optimized Model for MapReduce Based on Hadoop

    Aiming at the waste of computing resources resulting from sequential control of running mechanism of MapReduce model on Hadoop platform,Fork/Join framework has been introduced into this model to make full use of CPU resource of each node. From the perspective of fine-grained parallel data processing, combined with Fork/Join framework,a parallel and multi-thread model,this paper optimizes MapReduce model and puts forward a MapReduce+Fork/Join programming model which is a distributed and parallel architecture combined with coarse-grained and fine-grained on Hadoop platform to Support two-tier levels of parallelism architecture both in shared and distributed memory machines. A test is made under the environment of Hadoop cluster composed of four nodes. And the experimental results prove that this model really can improve performance and efficiency of the whole system and it is not only suitable for handling tasks with data intensive but also tasks with computing intensive. it is an effective optimization and improvement to the MapReduce model of big data processing

    Biofeedback Therapy Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription Improves the Symptoms, Surface Myoelectricity, and Anal Canal Pressure of the Patients with Spleen Deficiency Constipation

    In order to observe the clinical therapeutic effects of Yiqi Kaimi Prescription and biofeedback therapy on treating constipation with deficiency of spleen qi, the 30 cases in the control group were given oral administration of Yiqi Kaimi Prescription, in combination with anus-lifting exercise; the 30 cases in the treatment group were given biofeedback therapy on the basis of the afore mentioned methods for the control group. The TCM symptom scores and anorectal pressures before and after treatment were observed and evaluated. There were significant differences in TCM symptom scores, anorectal pressure, and clinical recovery rate before and after treatment. In the treatment group, the total recovery rate was 86.66%, while in the control group it was 50%; there were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.01). Yiqi Kaimi Prescription coupled with biofeedback therapy is clinically effective for treating constipation with deficiency of spleen qi, and thus this method is applicable for functional constipation with deficiency of spleen qi

    Morphological Dependence of MIR Properties of SDSS Galaxies in the Spitzer SWIRE Survey

    We explore the correlation between morphological types and mid-infrared (MIR) properties of an optically flux-limited sample of 154 galaxies from the Forth Data Release (DR4) of Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), cross-correlated with Spitzer SWIRE (Spitzer Wide-Area InfraRed Extragalactic Survey) fields of ELAIS-N1, ELAIS-N2 and Lockman Hole. Aperture photometry is performed on the SDSS and Spitzer images to obtain optical and MIR properties. The morphological classifications are given based on both visual inspection and bulge-disk decomposition on SDSS g- and r-band images. The average bulge-to-total ratio (B/T) is a smooth function over different morphological types. Both the 8um(dust) and 24um(dust) luminosities and their relative luminosity ratios to 3.6um (MIR dust-to-star ratios) present obvious correlations with both the Hubble T-type and B/T. The early-type galaxies notably differ from the late-types in the MIR properties, especially in the MIR dust-to-star ratios. It is suggested that the MIR dust-to-star ratio is an effective way to separate the early-type galaxies from the late-type ones. Based on the tight correlation between the stellar mass and the 3.6um luminosity, we have derived a formula to calculate the stellar mass from the latter. We have also investigated the MIR properties of both edge-on galaxies and barred galaxies in our sample. Since they present similar MIR properties to the other sample galaxies, they do not influence the MIR properties obtained for the entire sample.Comment: Accepted for publication by AJ. 18 pages, 14 figures, and 4 table
