    Pengembangan Modul Berbasis Multimedia Dengan Menggunakan Flip PDF Professional Pada Tema Udara Yang Sehat

    Modul pembelajaran berbasis multimedia Flip PDF Professional merupakan modul pembelajaran yang di dalamnya terdapat beberapa kegiatan pembelajaran, sehingga membantu siswa mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Modul ini disajikan dalam bentuk multimedia dengan menggunakann aplikasi Flip PDF Professional, produk yang dihasilkan berupa flipbook yang menarik karena dapat memuat gambar, video, animasi, audio dan teks yang dapat dibolak-balik saat membacanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan dan mengetahui tingkat kevalidan modul pembelajaran yang telah dibuat. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tiga SMP di kota Serang dengan kurun waktu bulan Agustus 2020 sampai dengan Agustus 2021. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan desain pengembangan model yang diadaptasi dari Sugiyono yaitu melalui tahapan (1) potensi dan masalah, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) desain produk, (4) validasi desain, dan (5) perbaikan desain. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi untuk uji kevalidan yang akan dilakukan oleh dua ahli media, dua ahli materi, dan juga tiga Guru IPA. Hasil uji kevalidan modul berbasis multimedia dengan menggunakan Flip PDF Professional pada tema udara yang sehat ini berdasarkan validasi media mendapatkan nilai 89,4% dengan kategori sangat valid, dan untuk validasi materi mendapatkan nilai 86,9% yang berarti masuk ke dalam kategori sangat valid

    Latar belakang dari penelitian ini didasari dengan permasalahan saat studi kasus lapangan mengenai pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA di SMP. Bahan ajar yang digunakan belum tepat untuk melibatkan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajarannya sehingga keterampilan proses sains siswa belum maksimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni mengembangkan bahan ajar e-modul berbasis SPS untuk melatih keterampilan komunikasi sains siswa SMP kelas VIII serta mengukur tingkat validitas dari produk yang dikembangkan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) model 3-D yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), dan pengembangan (develop). Pada tahap pengembangan telah dihasilkan e-modul IPA yang divalidasi oleh 2 validator ahli dari dosen IPA Untirta dan 3 validator praktisi dari guru IPA kelas VIII di 3 sekolah yang berbeda. Produk divalidasi berdasarkan penilaian dari aspek materi dan media penyajian. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa persentase kevalidannya produk sebesar 87,3% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa E-Modul IPA Berbasis Science Process Skills (SPS) dengan Tema Transportasi si-Hijau untuk Melatih Keterampilan Komunikasi Sains Siswa SMP Kelas VIII dapat dinyatakan sangat valid

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis pendekatan contextual teaching learning untuk membangun kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada tema global warming. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan mengadopsi prosedur penelitian dari sugiono yang dimodifikasi dan memiliki beberapa tahapan yaitu potensi masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk dan validitas produk. Instrument yang digunakan adalah berupa lembar angket. validasi yang terdiri dari validasi ahli materi diantaranya aspek yang dinilai adalah aspek materi/isi, aspek bahasa, aspek penyajian dan validasi ahli media terdiri dari aspek media/kegrafikan. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menunjukan tingkat validasi lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis pendekatan contextual teaching learning untuk membangun kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada tema global warming dilihat dari secara keseluruhan termasuk kedalam  kategori sangat valid dengan nilai 82% dari penilaian para ahli

    Cognitive Process of Pre-service Science Teachers Using Problem-based Learning on Nervous System Concepts

    Cognitive Process (CP) is a mental process that occurs when a person forms new knowledge with fully conscious or unconscious actions. This study aimed to obtain an overview of the CP of students who are pre-service science teachers in learning the nervous system using a problem-based learning model. The sample of the research was 37 student pre-service science teachers, who were taking the 4th semester. Students’ CP is measured using a CP instrument that refers to Marzano’s taxonomy. Data is analyzed by looking at the average value and frequently occurring answers, then interpreting the findings with the underlying theory. The description of 4th semester pre-service students in science education on nervous system concepts shows that the ability to think in the cognitive system has not been well formed compared to the ability to believe in the metacognitive system and self-system. Based on these conditions, developing more appropriate learning strategies to develop the CP of science teacher candidates is still necessary.</p

    This study aimed to determine the effect of projectbased learning model to the communication skills of students on the concept of biodiversity. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with randomized control group only. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Serang class X academic year 2011/2012. The sampling technique used in this research were cluster random sampling. Data retrieval research using the assessment presentations and reports. Results of the research is the average value of communication skills of students in the experimental class is 68.4% (good) and the control class is 45.8% (approximately). Based on t-test obtained tcount (8.545) ≥ ttable (2,002) or significance 0.002&gt; 0.05. It can be concluded that there is significant implementation project based learning model on the concept of biodiversity to the communication skills of students of SMAN 5 Serang

    Development of Fructuweb “A Learning Website of Banten’s Exotic Fruits” to Support Local Potential-Based Learning in Digital Era

    Teaching-learning in the 21st-century is influenced by technological advances, such as the use of online media. In addition, based on Indonesia’s curriculum requirements, teaching-learning has to utilize the local potential of the environment. This study aims to develop a Fructuweb, a learning website with Banten’s exotic fruits as content to support local potential-based learning in the digital era. A 3D research and development methodology was used comprise of define, design, and develop. The subjects for expert validation were five lecturers, and for individually user response tests were four teachers and fifteen students of 10th-grade representatives from senior high school in Serang city and Lebak district, Banten Province. Descriptive analysis were carried out to identify learning process and media need in schools at Banten, also to validate the feasibility of the website. The expert validation result has an average value of 95.1% for the content material aspect of Fructuweb and 92.7% for the media aspect;  as for the user response (student and teacher) was 93.4%. These results indicated that the Fructuweb is very feasible to use as an online learning source.</p

    The Effectiveness of Scaffolding Based Virtual Class to Improve Student’s Logical Thinking Ability

    The low logical thinking ability of students causes them to experience difficulties in making the reasoning of genetic concepts. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of scaffolding based virtual class to improve student’s logical thinking ability. Quasi experiment was used in this study. The population was the 4th semester students of Biology education of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at one of University at Serang, Indonesia, Academic Year 2016/2017, taking the Genetics course. Samples were taken randomly. The student’s logical thinking ability was measured by using the Test of Logical Thinking Ability (TOLT). The students pretest results of logical thinking ability in the experimental and control classes show the same average value of 2.64 included in the transition category, whereas post test results show different values. The experimental class indicates an average grade of 6.41 and a control class of 4.13, although the average difference between the two groups is significantly different, but both still show the same category of initial formal. Based on Mann-Whitney statistical test results, there is a difference of logical thinking ability between the two treatment classes. This can be interpreted that learning by using scaffolding based virtual class is effective in improving student’s logical thinking ability.             </p

    Neuroscience Studies in Self Regulated Learning for Science Teacher Candidates through Optimizing the Learning Management System (LMS) with the SPADA Feature

    Online learning to anticipate the Covid-19 pandemic directly or indirectly has presented a new order in the learning aspect. One of the Learning Management System (LMS) technologies used at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University is the Sistem Pembelajaran Daring (SPADA). Several features in SPADA have been developed to help students learn independently or guided, including summary, assignment, grade, URL and activity completion. Lecturers continue to try to anticipate problems in optimizing these features. These efforts continue to experience changes and developments because the self regulated learning that is passed by each student is not the same. This is influenced by a series of brain mechanisms in processing information or known as neuroscience. Student activities related to independent learning do not only involve cognition from a series of information processing, but a series of self-knowledge information that is included in the study of abilities and metacognitive skills. In this regard, the independence of learning in this study is explained in terms of cognitive, motivational and behavioral aspects using a questionnaire instrument and interview guidelines for 32 students in the Department of Natural Sciences Education Semester V of 2020. Based on the results and discussion, it is known that the difficulty in realizing learning independence because students do not know for sure the goals to be achieved, so it is difficult to determine various strategies for achieving them. The problem of self regulated learning encourages LMS optimization steps with SPADA features based on neuroscience studies. The first thing to do is to give students the freedom to learn according to their inclinations, so the suggestion that can be conveyed is that the lecturer should know the learning style of each student before using the LMS through the SPADA feature in developing student learning independence
