COSMETIC CONSUMPTION TRENDS OF VIETNAMESE YOUNG PEOPLE – A CASE STUDY OF HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN HANOI

Our beauty demands are significantly increasing with the rapid development of the Global Economy. The use of cosmetic products has become prevalent among Vietnamese youth. In this article, the research team concentrates on collecting and analyzing data on cosmetics consumer trends of Vietnamese teenagers - research of high school and university students in Hanoi. The research yields some important results: Young people are becoming more interested in natural and time-saving trends toward beauty. The top concerns in using cosmetic products are skincare, haircare, and body odor. Make-up is also catching teenagers’ attention, but the number of young people frequently doing makeup is inconsiderable, mainly due to the lack of knowledge, interest, and time for this field. In addition, the use of cosmetic products is mostly influenced by personal preferences, opinions of friends/relatives, and cultural tastes. The purchase of cosmetic products is driven by prices, brand names, and ingredients. Adolescents also tend to use some healthy products, such as cosmeceutical or vegan ones, to overcome the problems of unclear origins or irritating ingredients. Besides, high school and university students have low financial capacities; therefore, their money spent on cosmetic products is not too high, and the number of cosmetic products owned is not too many. Finally, the improvement of technology has led to two trends among teenagers: the convenience of cosmetic-related information searching and the widespread presence of shopping through e-commerce platforms

Curie Temperature of Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors: the Influence of the Antiferromagnetic Exchange Interaction

    Get PDF
The coherent potential approximation and mean field approximation are used to calculate the free energy of the coupled carrier – localized spin system in III-V diluted magnetic semiconductors. Thus the magnetic transition temperature Tc can be determined and its dependence on important model parameters. We show that the strong antiferromagnetic superexchange interaction between nearest neighbour sites considerably reduces the Curie temperature

Optimization of Design Procedure for Column-base Connections according to EN 1993-1-8:2006

The stiffness and the strength of a column-base connection have significant impacts on the behavior of a steel frame. The paper develops an interaction curve between moment and axial force for the column-base connections according to EN 1993-1-8:2006 with the variation of the base plate thickness and the bolt diameter. This is the fundamental base to determine the ultimate strength of a column-base plate that allows the designers to estimate the strength of column-base connections. This research investigates the relationship between the base plate thickness, the bolt diameter, and the moment strength of the column-base plate with a specific axial force to select an optimum solution. Also, the initial rotational stiffness is determined under a specific axial load and varied moments that satisfy the ultimate limit state. The relationship between moment–rotation is subsequently performed with the variation of the base plate thickness or the bolt diameter. The design procedure is proposed based on moment-axial force interaction curves and moment-rotation curves. This allows for optimizing the column-base connection from proper selections of base plate dimensions and bolt diameters

Information technology is applied in almost all fields of life, including education. ICT influences and transforms teaching and learning through its potential as a source of knowledge, a medium of content delivery, and a medium of interaction and dialogue. IT changes the elements of the curriculum and the type of program that prepares the essential foundation for learners to meet the requirements of the digital world, the information technology, and the technology era. The article focuses on analyzing the roles, and current situation and proposes solutions to enhance the application of information technology in teaching method innovation of theoretical modules at the Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism

Two Band Model for Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors: Study of the Ferromagnetic Transition Temperature

    Get PDF
The ferromagnetic transition temperature (Tc) of a two band model for diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) is calculated by using the coherent potential approximation (CPA). It is shown that Tc is strongly parameter dependent on density of the carriers, magnetic coupling constants, and the hopping terms. The maximal Tc of the two band model is found when both impurity bands fully overlap and this value is approximately twice larger than the highest Tc obtained in the single band model

WTC2005-64192 INVESTIGATION ON THE WEAR OF WELL-TUBING IN THE OIL EXPLOITATION

    Get PDF
ABSTRACT In this paper, the results of investigation of wear of well-tubing with the sea depth from 3000 to 5000 meters are presented. The theory of erosion for tubing is established basing on the flow of exploited products and the principles of erosion and corrosion, for calculating the wear of thickness of tubing and the influence of environment and exploited oil products flow (pressure, velocity, temperature etc.). The long-life of tubing is determined for the maintenance service. Various proposals for increasing effectiveness of tubing exploitation are presented as materials changing, manufacturing, improving etc

Temperature dependent magnetization of the two band model for diluted magnetic semiconductors

    Get PDF
The temperature dependent magnetization of a two band model for diluted magnetic semiconductors as a function of magnetic coupling constant, hopping parameters and carrier densities is calculated by using the coherent potential approximation.  It is shown that the degree of overlapping of the impurity bands  and carrier density are crucial parameters determining the magnetization behavior of the system

Level of Determinants Impact on Buyer’s Purchasing Intention in Motor Liability Insurance: Case of Vietnam

    Get PDF
Motor liability insurance has been included in the compulsory insurance category that each vehicle owner of every type of motor vehicle must participate in in Vietnam. However, in fact, the participation in this type of insurance is not popular and not strictly managed. This paper presents an approach to modeling and analyzing the possible determinants that may affect the intention to buy motor liability insurance for motor vehicle owners in the North of Vietnam. The target audience of this study is motorcycle owners. Based on the theories of buying intention, buying behavior and the specific characteristics of this insurance, this study has proposed a model with 4 factors influencing intention to participate in the insurance: Attitudes towards risk and insurance, subjective standards, Insurance Perceptions, and Product Accessibility. Taken together, these factors model a consumer's tendency toward insurance intentions for motorbike owners. The results show that all of the above factors have influence on the intention of motorcycle owners to participate in insurance.
