    Analisis Keragaan Fenotipe F1 Hasil Persilangan Jarak Pagar (Jatropha Curcas L.) Sebagai Sumber Belajar Genetika Pewarisan Sifat

    - Physic nut (Jatropha curcas L.) is a versatile plant and all parts of the body have the potential to be exploited. Government has set as a source of biofuels (BBN) in supporting the diversification of sources of alternative energy using the Physic nut. Utilization target is 5 % of Indonesia\u27s energy mix by 2025. Seethes need to be supported in the future high yielding improved varieties. Problems faced are no varieties or clones produced Physic nut. Hybridization is one method to obtain high yielding varieties and has been done by breeders Physic nut. This study was conducted to look at a number of phenotypic variability F1 crosses of Physic nut in support of the data base of the hybrid varieties. The parameters observed were plant height, number of branches, number of leaves indentations and 100 seed weight. The results showed that the variability of phenotypes F1 hybridization of Physic nut plants vary in height, number of branches, 100 seed weight and nearly uniform in curvature amount of leaves. 4 hybridization each accession of parental: SP8 x SP16, F1 coded 5; SP8 x SP38, F1 coded 6; HS 49 x SP33, F1 coded 7; SP38 x SM35, F1 coded 18, the results showed there are differences and parent and offspring phenotype equations F1. F1 seed weight on yield was higher than the parent. This process and result can be used as a learning resource for studying the inheritance of the parent to the offspring at genetic learning in secondary schools

    Phytoremediation of Phosphate Content in Liquid Laundry Waste by Using Echinodorus Paleafolius and Equisetum Hyemale Used as Biology Learning Resource

    Laundry liquid waste is the remain water of clothes washing process which causes toxic effects to the biotic area in the water in case of the liquid waste without proper processing. Phytoremediation is a system which is conducted by plants to break a contaminant compound into the non-hazard materials. This research aimed to analyze the mechanism to reduce phosphate content in laundry liquid waste by through phytoremediation process which had been done by using Echinodorus paleafolius and Equisetum hyemale. The research is quantitative descriptive in which the data analysis method was descriptive. The research was conducted in 17 May to 10 June 2016 in the Laboratory of Water Quality of Perum Jasa Tirta Jl. Surabaya No. 2A Malang. The research results showed that the phosphate content in laundry liquid waste exceed of threshold limit value of liquid waste standard which has been issued as PP No. 82 Year 2001. Therefore, this over limit of phosphate content is hazardous to be released to the environment. Echinodorus paleafolius is able to reduce the phosphate content as much as 3.451 mg within the high-density-phosphate waste and as much as 2.271 mg within the lower one. However Equisetum hyemale could not be used to reduce the phosphate content even though it could reduce acidity degree (pH) as much as 3.7 unit within this liquid waste through phytoremediation process.     The teaching learning activity in SMK is inappropriate with the purpose of teaching and learning in SMK, which the students are taught to be able to apply the materials in the real life. Teaching material is taken from the biology book of SMA that the content is theoretically, so the explanation on the material is unsuitable and not applicative that makes the student less in ability and skill for application in daily life. From the problem above, this research purpose on developing the contextual basic handout of the biological course in biotechnology material in SMK N 02 Batu.This research is developing research based on research and development by Sugiyono's model that use a few developing steps, those are: (1) Potential and problem, (2) Collecting data, (3) Product design, (4) Validation design, (5) Design revision, (6) Try out the product, (7) Product revision. The data collecting methods is using validation from the expert of handout, material expert and try out to the study club. The technique of analyze data using quantitative and qualitative data. The result of quantitative data is the percentage of handout product value that classify in the handout quality and the result of qualitative data come from comment and advise of validator and try out in SMK.The result quality of the handout found that the developing contextual basic handout reach out the good quality after following the procedure of validation with percentage 80.90% and try out to the student that use the handout with percentage very good, 97.75% and get the positive respond from student with percentage 90.82%. From the whole of the contextual basic handout have a good quality and appropriate in use for teaching material of Biology in teaching learning process in SMK N 02 Batu

    Pendampingan Guru Inovatif dan Reflektif Melalui TBLA Berbasis Lesson Study di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu

    Tujuan dari pendampingan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, sikap dan keterampilan guru atas inovasi dan reflektif dalam pembelajaran melalui pemanfaatan TBLA berbasis lesson study. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini adalah (1) inclass training melalui langkah Pembekalan (materi konsep pendidikan abad 21, pedagodis modern dan learning community), (2) on the job training melalui langkah workshop penyusunan rencana aksi, penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran (open plan), open class, observasi, refleksi dan tindak lanjut). Sedangkan metode pendampingan dipilih dalam kaitannya dengan implementasi program pengabdian yaitu model SUPIA (School-University Partnership In Action) atau kemitraan dengan aksi setara untuk meraih kualitas pendidikan. Hasil sosialisasi menunjukkan bahwa guru menerima pengetahuan baru terkait dengan guru inovatif dan reflektif dan terdorong untuk mempraktekannya. Hasil workshop pembelajaran kolaboratif meningkatkan pemahaman prinsip pembelajaran kolaboratif dan penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran atau lesson design secara terbuka (open plan) meliputi chapter design dan lesson design merupakan integrasi dari TPACK. Pada Chapter design berisi content knowledge yang menjabarkan dokumenn kurikulum, sedangkan Lesson Design merupakan technological paedogogic yang meliputi sharing task dan jumping task, penugasan dalam porsi individu dan porsi kelompok. Pembelajaran kolaboratif mengimplementasikan teori belajar social Vigotsky, teori belajar kognitif Jean Piaget dan teori belajar proto/deutro James Bateson. Pembelajaran kolaboratif sebagai salah satu implementasi guru inovatif menghasilkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan kolaboratif siswa. Hasil ini telah didukung oleh pemanfaatan TBLA yang dikemas dalam bingkai lesson study dalam rangka mewujudkan predikat guru reflektif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengabdian ini telah menguatkan mindset, cita cita guru inovatif dan reflektif. Guru inovatif diwujudkan dengan kemampuan merancang dan menerapkan pembelajaran kolaboratif, sementara itu guru reflektif diindikasikan dengan pemanfaatan TBLA dalam bingkai lesson study. Pengabdian ini telah mampu mewujudkan peningkatan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA untuk materi Pesawat Sederhana.Kat

    PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN MATERI BIOTEKNOLOGI MODERN SISWA KELAS XII SMA Sri Riani1, Iin Hindun1, Moch. Agus Krisno Budiyanto1 1Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universtias Muhammadiyah Malang, e-mail: [email protected] ABSTRAK Pesatnya perkembangan ilmu dan teknologi menjadikan bioteknologi sebagai salah satu bidang ilmu dalam biologi yang harus dikuasai sejak dini oleh siswa. Berbagai permasalahan yang muncul dalam pembelajaran bioteknologi di sekolah, salah satunya adalah penggunaan media yang kurang tepat sehingga menyebabkan materi tersebut sulit dipahami oleh siswa. Masalah lain adalah adanya keterbatasan waktu, sementara materi yang disampaikam lebih banyak bersifat aplikatif dan abstrak terutama pada bioteknologi modern yang membutuhkan waktu relatif panjang. Tujuan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia interaktif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman materi bioteknologi modern pada siswa kelas XII SMA. Model penembangan yang digunakan mengacu pada langkah-langkah pengembangan Borg & Gall (1983) yang dimodifikasi dari Sukmadinata (2009) yang meliputi tiga kegiatan besar, yaitu: studi pendahuluan, pengembangan dan validasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 19 Januari sampai 28 Maret 2013 di MAN Malang 2 Batu. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan produk multimedia interaktif yang telah melalui proses uji coba dan telah dilakukan beberapa kali revisi berdasarkan saran ahli materi dan ahli media serta komentar dari siswa sasaran uji coba. Multimedia interaktif yang dihasilkan memiliki kualifikasi sangat baik dan hasil eksperiment juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan materi bioteknologi modern antara sebelum dan setelah menggunakan multimedia interaktif, yaitu dari nilai rata-rata sebelum menggunakan media (pretest) (54,03) meningkat menjadi (92,36) setelah menggunakan media (postest)

    Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi pemanfaatan TTG berbasis solar cell untuk mengatasi permasalahan IRT Nelayan Sapeken. Mitra kegiatan yaitu Dapoer Emmak dan Sapeken Sejahtera. TTG yang diimplementasikan berupa alat pembuat abon dan perahu. Instrumen kegiatan meliputi materi presentasi, produk, alat dokumentasi, buku catatan, dan instrumen evaluasi. Metode pengabdian adalah survey, demonstrasi, dan praktek langsung, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan terlibat langsung dalam aktivitas masyarakat, pengambilan sampel produk dan perekaman dokumen serta kegiatan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Kegiatan dianggap berhasil bila TTG mahir digunakan oleh mitra, persentase keterlibatan dan keaktifan mencapai ≥75%, ada peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas produk/hasil usaha, income meningkat, dan semua tahapan kegiatan terlaksana. Berbagai kegiatan dilakukan pengabdi, yaitu koordinasi dan konsolidasi tim, serta penyamaan persepsi dengan mitra, pendesainan, penyiapan, dan pembuatan, penyerahan TTG, pelatihan, dan pemanfaatan TTG oleh mitra, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Dpat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan dengan sangat baik, sesuai dengan target yang telah ditetapkan

    Studi Trikoma Daun Pada Famili Solanaceae Sebagai Sumber Belajar Biologi

    Penelitian dilakukan dengan melihat jaringan epidermis pada tujuh spesies yang mewakili family solanaceae (Solanum melongena, Solanum tuberosum, Capsicum frustescens, Capsicum annum, Datura metel, Physalis minima dan Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium) yang ditemukan di daerah cangar kota Batu dengan metode jelajah. Kemudian dilakukan penelitian pada epidermis daun di Labolatorium Biologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang dengan menggunakan mikroskop SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa trikoma pada famili solanaceae memiliki bentuk yang bervariasi. Dari 7 spesies ditemukan trikoma rambut sederhana, stellata, berkepala unicel dan hidatoda. Kemudian hasil penelitian ini untuk dikembangkan menjadi sumber belajar biologi SMA kelas XI melalui analisis KD, silabus dan RPP pada materi pembelajaran jaringan tumbuhan dengan penyajian bahan ajar berbentuk buku ilmiah

    THE IMPROVEMENT OF COMPREHENSION ON BIOLOGY RESEARCH METHODOLOGY THROUGH WRITING RESEARCH PROPOSAL RETROSPECTIVELY BY COMBINING CLASSROOM DISCUSSION AND COLLABORATIVE WORKING GROUP IN LESSON STUDY

    Lesson Study (LS) was conducted aiming at: (1) describing the ideal steps in combining classroom discussion and collaborative working group in effort to improve students’ comprehension on writing biology research proposal that is arranged retrospectively; (2) analyzing the improvement of students’ comprehension on writing biology research proposal retrospectively by combining classroom discussion and collaborative working group (further noted as collaborative classroom discussion). The location of LS was in Class VB and VC, incorporating fifth semester students in Biology Education Department University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Indonesia. This LS was conducted within four cycles with its main focus on concept comprehension covering three cognitive levels, namely: simple concept comprehension, concept analysis, and concept synthesis. The findings of this current LS concluded that there were 8 activity stages in ideal syntax of collaborative classroom discussion, to name: (1) pre-condition: students were to complete collaborative working groupbased assignments; (2) the lecturer explained the rules and assessment system of the discussion; (3) reorganizing seating arrangement and dividing group discussions, one presenting group and the other discussion groups; (4) positioning the students from high group in each discussion group; (5) the lecturer acted as a facilitator and was accompanied by a student-recruited note-taker; (6) conducting classroom discussion led by the facilitator; (7) the lecturer administered the assessment process; and (8) the lecturer along with students conducted reflection. The implementation of ideal syntax of collaborative classroom discussion was proven to improve students’ comprehension on biology research methodology through writing research proposal retrospectively. Collaborative classroom discussion could improve students’ comprehension on biology research methodology course as the implementation of which improved cognitive processes, initiated from simple concept comprehension, concept analysis, to concept synthesis and evaluation
