    Dynamical Analysis of Cylindrically Symmetric Anisotropic Sources in f(R,T)f(R,T) Gravity

    In this paper, we have analyzed the stability of cylindrically symmetric collapsing object filled with locally anisotropic fluid in f(R,T)f(R,T) theory, where RR is the scalar curvature and TT is the trace of stress-energy tensor of matter. Modified field equations and dynamical equations are constructed in f(R,T)f(R,T) gravity. Evolution or collapse equation is derived from dynamical equations by performing linear perturbation on them. Instability range is explored in both Newtonian and post-Newtonian regimes with the help of adiabetic index, which defines the impact of physical parameters on the instability range. Some conditions are imposed on physical quantities to secure the stability of the gravitating sources.Comment: 11 page

    HOW DO VITAMIN AND PLANT SEEDS WORK AS HYPOLIPIDEMIC AGENTS ?

    Objectives: Cardiovascular diseases are leading cause of death in western and eastern countries of the world. Hyperlipidemia is one of the strong risk fractions for heart diseases. Purpose of current study was to estimate Kalonji and vitamin B-3 affects on LDL-cholesterol. Methods: To evaluate hypolipidemic drugs efficacy, the study was conducted at National hospital, Lahore Pakistan from January 2016 to August 2016. Ninety hyperlipidemic patients were selected from cardiology and medical wards of the hospital. They were divided in three groups, one at placebo therapy, another on Kalonji and third one on Vitamin B3. Results:  After one and half month, significant changes (p value ranging from <0.05 to <0.001) were observed in their LDL and HDL-cholesterol. Conclusion of the study was to recommend use of herbal medicine and vitamin B3 for prevention of any heart diseases with good patient compliance. Conclusion:  Study concludes that Kalonji and vitamin B-3 affects LDL-cholesterol potently and these hypolipidemic agents increase HDL-cholesterol moderately.     COMPARISION OF ANTIDYSLIPIEMIC POTENTIAL OF 80 MILLIGRAMS OF FENOFIBRATED WITH 8 GRAMS OF NIGELLA SATIVA SEEDS DAILY

    Objectives: High lipid levels in blood circulation may interact with free radicals, formed in consequence of normal metabolic processes in human body. This interaction is one of the etiological factors for development of coronary artery disease (CAD). Just to keep normal plasma lipid levels may reduce risk for CAD. To compare hypolipidemic potential of herb Nigella sativa with allopathy-related hypolipidemic agent Fenofibrate, we conducted this research. Methods: It was single blind placebo-controlled study conducted at Ghurki trust teaching hospital, Lahore from February 2017 to July 2017. 75 diagnosed secondary hyperlipidemic patients were selected with age range from 20 to 70 years. Twenty five patients of group-A were advised to take two grams of Kalonji, twice daily. All participants were advised to take these medicines for eight weeks. Serum LDL-cholesterol was calculated by Friedwald formula1 (LDL-Cholesterol= Total Cholesterol-(Triglycerides/5+HDL-Cholesterol). Data were expressed as the mean ± SD and “t” test was applied to determine statistical significance as the difference. Results:  A probability value of <0.05 was considered as non-significant and P<0.001 was considered as highly significant change in the results when pre and post-treatment values were compared. Fenofibrate decreased TC, TG, and LDL-cholesterol highly significantly with p-value <0.001, while increase in HDL-cholesterol was significant with p-value <0.01.     Developing students\u27 Algebraic thinking in a grade VI Mathematics classroom in Karachi, Pakistan

    Developing students’ algebraic thinking continues to be one of the major challenges for teachers. Among numerous reasons of the challenges in developing algebraic thinking, one of the prominent reasons is the traditional talk-and-chalk method, which focuses more on solving algorithms based on memorized rules. This study is an attempt to investigate how strategies i.e. pattern-seeking, storytelling, manipulatives (Algebra Tiles) and real-life situations facilitate students in developing their algebraic thinking. For this purpose, I employed action research based on qualitative research approach with six students of grade VI in a private school of Karachi, Pakistan. The study entails three cycles, each cycle has lessons incorporating various activities and tasks. In the intervention stage, observation and textbook analysis provide insights into the teacher’s existing practices and students’ cognitive level. During the intervention stage, lessons were executed along with various tasks based on the above-cited strategies, and in the post-intervention stage, the researcher gathered students’ learning experiences. Data collection sources i.e. critical friend non-participant observation, reflective journal, students’ work samples revealed students have developed their algebraic thinking and understood the transition from arithmetic to algebra. Also, the findings indicated that the above-cited strategies enhanced students’ participation and motivation towards the subject

    Relativistic stellar model in f(R,T) gravity using karmarkar condition

    © 2021 Elsevier B.V.In the present manuscript, we have constructed an anisotropic solution for spherically symmetric space-time that satisfies Karmarkar's condition in the context of f(R,T) theory of gravity where R and T represent the Ricci scalar and the trace of Energy-momentum tensor, respectively. In order to achieve our goal, we chose a one of the gravitational potentials having regular behavior and obtained a closed form of the solution. This expression of the gravitational potential enables the embedding equation to be solved and the field equations to be integrated. The resulting current anisotropic solution is well-behaved and can be used to build realistic static fluid spheres. Our anisotropic solution represents compact structures like VelaX−1 and 4U1608−52 to a very high degree of precision. It has also been presented that our stellar model is physically accepted and satisfies all the physical criteria required to meet for a stable hydrostatic equilibrium configuration

    Impacts of complexity factor on the transition of fluid configurations from isotropic to anisotropic environment and vice versa

    Abstract This article presents a study on the process of isotropization and properties of stellar models with different complexity factors, which was introduced by Herrera (Phys Rev D 97:044010, 2018). We consider gravitational decoupling via MGD (Minimal Geometric Deformation) approach for spherically symmetric systems with static background and explore the scenarios where the isotropization of an anisotropic solution of Einstein field equations is possible. Moreover, we work on generating the new analogues of Durgapal–Fuloria model under different conditions associated with complexity factor. The physical existence and stability of the new stellar models have been discussed in details with the help of different potent tools
