    Particle transfer and fusion cross-section for Super-heavy nuclei in dinuclear system

    Within the dinuclear system (DNS) conception, instead of solving Fokker-Planck Equation (FPE) analytically, the Master equation is solved numerically to calculate the fusion probability of super-heavy nuclei, so that the harmonic oscillator approximation to the potential energy of the DNS is avoided. The relative motion concerning the energy, the angular momentum, and the fragment deformation relaxations is explicitly treated to couple with the diffusion process, so that the nucleon transition probabilities, which are derived microscopically, are time-dependent. Comparing with the analytical solution of FPE, our results preserve more dynamical effects. The calculated evaporation residue cross sections for one-neutron emission channel of Pb-based reactions are basically in agreement with the known experimental data within one order of magnitude.Comment: 19 pages, plus 6 figures, submitted to Phys.     The thesis idea originated from that the authors experienced that they would have liked to have more opportunities to apply their educational and personal skills before attending the business world. The authors found a way to accomplish this by the application of a multidiscipline case simulation. The purpose of this master’s thesis is to test an idea and the application of the same. Another purpose with the thesis is to further educate the target group within case theory. The main objective of the thesis is to create a multidiscipline case for an educational purpose. An instruction’s manual is to be used with the case in order to achieve the educational purpose. The sub objectives are that the case learning experience should fulfil following requirements; Authentic, Objective, Realistic, Engaging and Dynamic. This case is written about Gambro, which is a medical technology and healthcare company. The case is set in 2001. Gambro makes dialysis products, operates dialysis clinics and supplies blood bank technology worldwide. Gambro is one of the three world leaders. In this case the participants will get to know the company with focus on Renal Care. The multidiscipline case contains one main case containing general information about Gambro and five sub cases. The case will run for two seminars. The main case will be the foundation of the discussion during the first case seminar, were the students will take on different roles from an executive group. The main issue of the case is; which are the future management challenges facing Gambro? After the first case seminar the students will receive additional information from their departments, sub cases for the different roles. These will be solved and add more information to the original issue. Finally the students are to make a decision as the executive group concerning the main issue. To test the sub objectives for the case learning experience the case was tested during a test run with four participants. The foundation of case information is mainly based on external information, which makes the case not completely authentic. Because of the case’s fictitious nature the case is not entirely objective but the many references used as basis for information increases the objectivity. The case seminar discussions based on case information could be occurring in a real business environment. The way the case is used with the different characters is not as realistic but it is fulfilling its purpose. By making the participants prepare themselves for case seminars and taking on specific roles the case learning experience possess every possibility to be engaging

    Preparing Initial Teacher Education students for Flexible Learning Programs

    In Australia, there is currently no official training pathway or qualification required for working in Flexible Learning Programs (FLPs). This causes a problem for both new teachers wishing to work in this area and for employers who have no way of knowing whether a new teacher has the appropriate skills or knowledge to teach in this alternative context. To address this problem, we designed and implemented a program during which Initial Teacher Education (ITE) students were given the opportunity to experience teaching in a FLP. Here we report on the experiences and perceptions of the preparation program from the perspectives of the key stakeholders, including the ITE students, FLP staff, and the young people attending the FLP. All stakeholders perceived the project to be a success in enabling the ITE students to gain valuable theoretical knowledge and practical experience of the FLP context

    Organizational commitment och Role stressors – En fallstudie på ett expanderande IT-företag.

    Studiens syfte var att undersöka det organisatoriska engagemanget i form av organizational commitment på ett företag som kan ses som typiskt när det gäller att ställa stora krav på den anställda. Vidare var syftet även att analysera relationen mellan organizational commitment och role stressors samt att ringa in de faktorer som företagets anställda upplever som stressande i sitt vardagliga arbete. Undersökningen, som genomfördes via en Internet-survey, bestod av två delar - en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ. Resultatet av den kvantitativa delen visar att det organisatoriska engagemanget på företaget är förhållandevis lågt samt att det finns en negativ korrelation mellan organizational commitment och role stressors. I den kvalitativa delen togs följande tre kategorier av stressupplevelser fram; oklarhet, utnyttjande av tid, samt en organisation som inte lever som den lär. Studien visar också att role overload och role conflict är de två typerna av role stressors som är mest förekommande på företaget. Resultatet av den föreliggande studien stödjs genom tidigare forskning där man funnit liknande samband mellan role stressors och organizational commitment.     Novel Gas Cleaning With Integrated Energy Recovery

    High-energy recovery combined with low emissions to air and water was targeted when Jo¨nko¨ping Energi planned their new Waste to Energy plant at Torsvik in Sweden. The plant is compliant with the new EU Industry Directive and the Waste Frame Directive R-formula, which defines energy recovery levels for recycle of energy. In total about 160 000 tons of municipal (40%) and commercial waste (60%) is annually converted into usable energy. The average heat value is 11,7 MJ/kg. The energy produced is a combination of electricity (14 MWe) and heat (42–56 MWth, depending on electricity production). The heat is recovered both in a boiler and in a condenser. The flue gas condensing system is combined with a heat pump (10 MWth) to optimize the heat recovery rate. The plant is designed to fulfill the requirements set by the Swedish authorities, which are more stringent than the EU emission requirements. Some examples of the plant emissions to air guarantees: dust 5, HCl 5, SO2 20, HF1, Hg 0,03, Cd+Tl 0,05, other HM 0,5 all in mg/Nm3 and dioxin 0,05 ng/Nm3. The flue gas cleaning upstream of the condenser consists of a combination of a semi-dry system and a wet scrubber. The gas cleaning system operating range goes from 60 000 up to 127 000 Nm3/h depending on load and fuel heat value. The semi-dry system is carrying out the major part of the gas cleaning and is sufficient to comply with the air regulations. However, in order to minimize the treatment of the condensate from the condenser the wet scrubber is installed after the semi-dry system and upstream the condenser. The blow down from the scrubber is reused within the plant. Thus the polishing scrubber secures minimal treatment of the condensate to comply with the local stringent limits, particular chlorides, before release to the recipient lake Munksjo¨n. Emissions to water were 2010 nitrogen 1,7 mg/l, Cl &lt;3,6 mg/l, As 0,66 μg/l, Cd &lt;0,07 μg/l, Cr &lt;6 μg/l, Cu 0,8 μg/l, Hg &lt;0,4 μg/l, Ni &lt;0,66 μg/l, Pb&lt;1,2 μg/l, Tl&lt;1,3 μg/l, Zn&lt;7,2 μg/l and PCDD/PCDF 0,0088 ng/l. In the wet scrubber acid stage residual HCl and excess ammonia from the SNCR system are removed. The latter compound is important to capture in order to prevent eutrophication. The combination of a semidry and a wet system enables an optimization of the flue gas cleaning with regard to the different operating situations, taking into account seasonal demand variations as well as fuel alterations. The concept has demonstrated very low emissions combined with low consumption of lime. The possibility to optimize the flue gas cleaning performance is a prerequisite for minimal condensate treatment and optimal energy recovery.     Bakgrund: Bipolär sjukdom är en långvarig psykisk störning som kännetecknas av svängningar mellan depression, hypomani och mani. De kraftiga svängningarna som sker under skoven medför stora utmaningar för de drabbade och dess anhöriga. En lång och komplicerad process med att fastställa diagnos medför ofta många år av ovisshet för personer som lider av sjukdomen. Genom en djupare förståelse för hur sjukdomen påverkar de drabbade samt en individanpassad vård kan sjuksköterskor förbättra vården. Syfte: Syftet med arbetet var att genom livshistorier studera erfarenheter av att leva med bipolär sjukdom. Metod: Arbetet är kvalitativt och utgår från fem patografier skrivna av personer som lever med bipolär sjukdom. Underlaget till resultatet har arbetats fram genom en kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Resultat: Bipolär sjukdom har en stor påverkan på dem som lider av sjukdomen. Depressionerna kan ofta vara mycket allvarliga och föra med sig tankar om suicid och självskadebeteende. Utöver detta finns det tydliga problem med att hitta en känsla av identitet då det inte alltid är säkert vad som är symtom på sjukdomen och vad som är egna tankar och tycken. Det bemötande som finns från vården upplevs långt ifrån alltid tillfredsställande. Detta ställer krav på en mer individanpassad vård från personalen för att bemöta behoven från personer som söker hjälp för bipolär sjukdom. Slutsats: Vårdens insikt om hur djupa depressioner yttrar sig kan förbättras med hjälp av en större förståelse för sjukdomen. Genom att se patienten utifrån deras livsvärld och vara lyhörd för vilken typ av hjälp de behöver kan vården förbättras.
