Quenched Spectroscopy for the N=1 Super-Yang-Mills Theory

We present results for the Quenched SU(2) N=1 Super-Yang-Mills spectrum at β=2.6\beta=2.6, on a V=163×32V=16^3 \times 32 lattice, in the OZI approximation. This is a first step towards the understanding of the chiral limit of lattice N=1 SUSY.Comment: 3 pages, Latex, 2 ps figures, contribution to Lattice 97, Edinburgh 22-26 July 1997; to appear on Nucl. Langlands duality for finite-dimensional representations of quantum affine algebras

We describe a correspondence (or duality) between the q-characters of finite-dimensional representations of a quantum affine algebra and its Langlands dual in the spirit of q-alg/9708006 and 0809.4453. We prove this duality for the Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules and their irreducible tensor products. In the course of the proof we introduce and construct "interpolating (q,t)-characters" depending on two parameters which interpolate between the q-characters of a quantum affine algebra and its Langlands dual.Comment: 40 pages; several results and comments added. True high-order VCO-based ADC

    Get PDF
A novel approach to use a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) as the first integrator of a high-order continuous-time delta-sigma modulator (CT-DSM) is presented. In the proposed architecture, the VCO is combined with a digital up-down counter to implement the first integrator of the CT-DSM. Thus, the first integrator is digital-friendly and hence can maximally benefit from technological scaling

The seesaw portal in testable models of neutrino masses

A Standard Model extension with two Majorana neutrinos can explain the measured neutrino masses and mixings, and also account for the matter-antimatter asymmetry in a region of parameter space that could be testable in future experiments. The testability of the model relies to some extent on its minimality. In this paper we address the possibility that the model might be extended by extra generic new physics which we parametrize in terms of a low-energy effective theory. We consider the effects of the operators of the lowest dimensionality, d=5d=5, and evaluate the upper bounds on the coefficients so that the predictions of the minimal model are robust. One of the operators gives a new production mechanism for the heavy neutrinos at LHC via higgs decays. The higgs can decay to a pair of such neutrinos that, being long-lived, leave a powerful signal of two displaced vertices. We estimate the LHC reach to this process.Comment: 19 pages, 11 figure
