Generalised Fractional Evolution Equations of Caputo Type
This paper is devoted to the study of generalised time-fractional evolution
equations involving Caputo type derivatives. Using analytical methods and
probabilistic arguments we obtain well-posedness results and stochastic
representations for the solutions. These results encompass known linear and
non-linear equations from classical fractional partial differential equations
such as the time-space-fractional diffusion equation, as well as their far
reaching extensions. \\ Meaning is given to a probabilistic generalisation of
Mittag-Leffler functions.Comment: To be published in 'Chaos, Solitons & Fractals
On the Potential of Leptonic Minimal Flavour Violation
Minimal Flavour Violation can be realized in several ways in the lepton
sector due to the possibility of Majorana neutrino mass terms. We derive the
scalar potential for the fields whose background values are the Yukawa
couplings, for the simplest See-Saw model with just two right-handed neutrinos,
and explore its minima. The Majorana character plays a distinctive role: the
minimum of the potential allows for large mixing angles -in contrast to the
simplest quark case- and predicts a maximal Majorana phase. This points in turn
to a strong correlation between neutrino mass hierarchy and mixing pattern.Comment: 6 pages; version published on Physics Letters
Approximate gravitational field of a rotating deformed mass
A new approximate solution of vacuum and stationary Einstein field equations
is obtained. This solution is constructed by means of a power series expansion
of the Ernst potential in terms of two independent and dimensionless parameters
representing the quadrupole and the angular momentum respectively. The main
feature of the solution is a suitable description of small deviations from
spherical symmetry through perturbations of the static configuration and the
massive multipole structure by using those parameters. This quality of the
solution might eventually provide relevant differences with respect to the
description provided by the Kerr solution.Comment: 16 pages. Latex. To appear in General Relativity and Gravitatio
Probing the ZZgamma and Zgammagamma Couplings Through the Process e+e- --> nu anti-nu gamma
We study the sensitivity for testing the anomalous triple gauge couplings
and via the process
at high energy linear colliders. For integrated luminosities of 500
and center of mass energies between 0.5 and 1.5 , we find that this
process can provide tests of the triple neutral gauge boson couplings of order
, one order of magnitude lower than the standard model prediction.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figure
