How to Put a Heavier Higgs on the Lattice
Lattice work, exploring the Higgs mass triviality bound, seems to indicate
that a strongly interacting scalar sector in the minimal standard model cannot
exist while low energy QCD phenomenology seems to indicate that it could. We
attack this puzzle using the 1/N expansion and discover a simple criterion for
selecting a lattice action that is more likely to produce a heavy Higgs
particle. Our large calculation suggests that the Higgs mass bound might be
around , which is about 30% higher than previously obtained

Clebsch-Gordan Construction of Lattice Interpolating Fields for Excited Baryons
Large sets of baryon interpolating field operators are developed for use in
lattice QCD studies of baryons with zero momentum. Operators are classified
according to the double-valued irreducible representations of the octahedral
group. At first, three-quark smeared, local operators are constructed for each
isospin and strangeness and they are classified according to their symmetry
with respect to exchange of Dirac indices. Nonlocal baryon operators are
formulated in a second step as direct products of the spinor structures of
smeared, local operators together with gauge-covariant lattice displacements of
one or more of the smeared quark fields. Linear combinations of direct products
of spinorial and spatial irreducible representations are then formed with
appropriate Clebsch-Gordan coefficients of the octahedral group. The
construction attempts to maintain maximal overlap with the continuum SU(2)
group in order to provide a physically interpretable basis. Nonlocal operators
provide direct couplings to states that have nonzero orbital angular momentum.Comment: This manuscript provides an anlytical construction of operators and

Pamidronate Disodium for Palliative Therapy of Feline Bone-Invasive Tumors
This study sought to quantify in vitro antiproliferative effects of pamidronate in feline cancer cells and assess feasibility of use of pamidronate in cats by assessing short-term toxicity and dosing schedule in cats with bone-invasive cancer. A retrospective pilot study included eight cats with bone invasive cancer treated with intravenous pamidronate. In vitro, pamidronate reduced proliferation in feline cancer cells (P<0.05). One cat treated with pamidronate in combination with chemotherapy and two cats treated with pamidronate as a single agent after failing prior therapy had subjective clinically stable disease; median progression free interval in these cats from initial pamidronate treatment was 81 days. Three cats developed azotemia while undergoing various treatment modalities including nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and pamidronate. Median overall survival was 116.5 days for all cats and 170 days for cats with oral squamous cell carcinoma. Median progression free survival was 55 days for all cats and 71 days for cats with oral squamous cell carcinoma. Pamidronate therapy appears feasible for administration in cancer bearing cats with aggressive bone lesions in the dose range of 1-2 mg/kg every 21–28 days for multiple treatments. No acute or short-term toxicity was directly attributable to pamidronate

The aim of this research was to get optimum number of maintained young fruit per panicle and good criteria of fruit that must be maintained so it will get a high yield of mango. The factors under investigation were number of young fruit to be maintained per panicle: 2, 4, and 6; the criteria of young fruit to be maintained: the biggest fruit, fruit attached at the beginning of panicle, and fruit attached at panicle at the same distance. The result of research showed that 6 fruits that maintained per panicle gave the highest weight per tree of mango (33,45 kg), but the lowest weight per fruit (466,98 kg). Maintaining the 2 biggest fruits of mango gave the highest weight per fruit (510,53 g)
Development Of An Adaptive Augmented Reality Qualification System For Manual Assembly And Maintenance
The manufacturing industry is facing various challenges today - globalization, fast-moving sales markets, short product life cycles, individualization, mass production and diversity of variants are trends that will continue or even increase in the future. Speed and flexibility in production are thus becoming important success factors for companies. To meet the demands of the market, there is a growing necessity to deploy employees flexibly within the production process. This increases the need for additional qualification of workers. By overlaying reality with virtual cues, Head-mounted displays (HMD) can present information in a situation-specific and location-linked manner. Data glasses also offer a high and convertible degree of support through the possibility of providing different media forms while both hands are available at the same time. Augmented Reality (AR) guidance systems are already available on the market and are suitable as permanent assistance systems, but only to a limited extent for qualification aspects. An industrially applicable qualification software that collects expert knowledge from skilled workers and then makes it available to new or inexperienced employees in an adaptive way that promotes learning is currently not available. This paper therefore presents the development of the software AQUA, which taps internal expertise with low effort and creates training courses that convey learning content to learners without over- or under-challenging them
Health-Related Conditions and Depression in Elderly Mexican American and Non-Hispanic White Residents of a United States-Mexico Border County: Moderating Effects of Educational Attainment
We investigated the prevalence of “high” levels of depressive symptomatology and 13 health-related medical conditions in elderly Mexican American (MA) and non-Hispanic white (NHW) residents of El Paso County, Texas. We analyzed the extent to which depressive symptoms in this population are associated with these conditions. Elderly MA residents possessed a higher prevalence of current depression, a relatively unique health-related condition profile, and were more likely to experience a set of conditions that impede participation in daily life—conditions that we found to be strongly associated with high depressive symptomatology in the elderly. After adjusting for educational attainment, using multiple regression analyses, depression was not associated with ethnicity and only six of the health related conditions showed significant differences between MA and NHW subjects. We believe these results provide an important insight into the mechanism of health-related conditions and depressive symptomatology in a large sample of elderly MAs; and how conditions typically attributed to MA ethnicity may in actuality be an artifact of socioeconomic status variables such as educational-attainment
