We present analytical results for all six-photon helicity amplitudes. For the computation of this loop induced process two recently developed methods, based on form factor decomposition and on multiple cuts, have been used. Higher-order risk preferences in social settings

We study prudence and temperance (next to risk aversion) in social settings. Previous experimental studies have shown that these higher-order risk preferences affect the choices of individuals deciding privately on lotteries that only affect their own payoff. Yet, many risky and financially relevant decisions are made in the social settings of households or organizations. We elicit higher-order risk preferences of individuals and systematically vary how an individual’s decision is made (alone or while communicating with a partner) and who is affected by the decision (only the individual or the partner as well). In doing so, we can isolate the effects of other-regarding concerns and communication on choices. Our results reveal that the majority of choices are risk averse, prudent, and temperate across social settings. We also observe that individuals are influenced significantly by the preferences of a partner when they are able to communicate and choices are payoff-relevant for both of them

This poster summarizes a literature review regarding the issue of shame in the supervisory relationship. Here, shame is differentiated from guilt as feelings of intrinsic inadequacy (shame) rather than having performed inadequately (guilt). Three sections explore the shame-inducing nature of the supervisory relationship, common reactions to shame, and considerations for creating a safe environment within the supervisory relationship. Supervision is a focal point in the development of clinicians-in-training and, as such, it is vital to understand practices which will allow both the supervisor and the supervisee to maximize the learning experience

FORT BRANCH, HAMILTON COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA: RESEARCH DESIGN AND SITE MANAGEMENT PLAN

The purpose of this thesis is to produce a research design and a site management plan for Fort Branch, a National Register-listed Confederate earthwork on Rainbow Bend in Martin County, North Carolina. The thesis discusses the history of Fort Branch, starting with a history of the Civil War in eastern North Carolina, to provide a context for the fort’s construction. A specific history of the fort discusses the defenses of Rainbow Bend and their eventual evolution into what is now Fort Branch. The research design uses the historical and archaeological background to formulate site-specific archaeological questions and uses case studies of Civil War archaeology to ensure that research at Fort Branch is placed within the context of Civil War archaeology. Previous archaeology, the archaeology of fort construction, an archaeological survey of the site, the archaeology of skirmishes, the archaeology of encampment, landscape studies, and the historic cemetery are discussed in this thesis. This research is important because it will provide the Fort Branch Battlefield Commission with ways to better interpret the battlefield, enhance its mission of preservation and restoration, and provide ways that the site can be protected for future generations.M.A

SecDec-3.0: numerical evaluation of multi-scale integrals beyond one loop

SecDec is a program which can be used for the factorization of dimensionally regulated poles from parametric integrals, in particular multi-loop integrals, and the subsequent numerical evaluation of the finite coefficients. Here we present version 3.0 of the program, which has major improvements compared to version 2: it is faster, contains new decomposition strategies, an improved user interface and various other new features which extend the range of applicability.Comment: 46 pages, version to appear in Comput.Phys.Com
