Computer viruses uses a few different techniques, with various intentions, toinfect files. However, what most of them have in common is that they wantto avoid detection by anti-malware software. To not get detected and stay unnoticed, virus creators have developed several methods for this. Anti-malwaresoftware is constantly trying to counter these methods of virus infections withtheir own detection-techniques. In this paper we have analyzed the differenttypes of viruses and their infection techniques, and tried to determined whichworks the best to avoid detection. In the experiments we have done we havesimulated executing the viruses at the same time as an anti-malware softwarewas running. Our conclusion is that metamorphic viruses uses the best methodsto stay unnoticed by anti-malware software’s detection techniques

Abstract

Background

A hospital's capacity and preparedness is one of the important parts of disaster planning. Hospital-related incidents, a new phenomenon in Swedish healthcare, may lead to ambulance diversions, increased waiting time at emergency departments and treatment delay along with deterioration of disaster management and surge capacity. We aimed to identify the causes and impacts of hospital-related incidents in Region VĂ€stra Götaland (western region of Sweden).

Methods

The regional registry at the Prehospital and Disaster Medicine Center was reviewed (2006–2008). The number of hospital-related incidents and its causes were analyzed.

Results

There were an increasing number of hospital-related incidents mainly caused by emergency department's overcrowdings, the lack of beds at ordinary wards and/or intensive care units and technical problems at the radiology departments. These incidents resulted in ambulance diversions and reduced the prehospital capacity as well as endangering the patient safety.

Conclusion

Besides emergency department overcrowdings, ambulance diversions, endangering patient s safety and increasing risk for in-hospital mortality, hospital-related incidents reduces and limits the regional preparedness by minimizing the surge capacity. In order to prevent a future irreversible disaster, this problem should be avoided and addressed properly by further regional studies.</p

Potential Implications of the EU Water Framework Directive in Sweden

The Water Framework Directive (WFD) is currently being implemented throughout Europe. As the Directive is likely to introduce major changes to the way in which water is managed in Sweden, this study aims to highlight some of the potential implications of its implementation. The requests of the WFD are compared with the current Swedish municipal system for water planning. Both organisationally and in terms of actual content the current study highlights significant differences in both approach and outcomes. The organisational changes envisaged will bring about a situation where, in essence, two parallel water management planning systems exist. This however implies that there will be significant problems ahead in terms of accountability and legitimacy, as the formal relationship between these separate systems is not clear, while the new system lacks clear linkages to the representative democratic model. The identified differences in terms of content however imply a more effective approach to water management and the potential for a more informed planning process. In order to make this arrangement work, forms of effective co-operation between the municipalities and the Water Authorities, as well as for the involvement of the general public and other concerned interests, need to be developed

In this essay I have been studying the love-seeking of people living in the rural areas of Sweden using 605 personal advertisements in the magazine Land. The study covers the period between 1979 and 2019, which has been a time of major changes in the rural Sweden. The weekly magazine Land is for members of LRF (the federation of Swedish Farmers) but also for people who work and live in the rural areas. This means that the personal advertisements in the magazine include both farmers and rural residents as love seekers. Material collection and analysis have been done through content analysis, narrative analysis and also a method adjusted for studies about personal advertisements called ego and altar descriptions. Results shows that men and women have ideal images of each other in which gender roles emerges. It also appears that there is a gender contract that is maintained by the personal advertisements through recreation of ideal images and norms about what males and females are supposed to be like. Among other things, some women seem to want men with practical skills and an intellectual mind, and some men tend to want women who have the same interests as themselves

The city of Malmö has seen growing media attention recent years in light of increased reporting on its anti-Semitism. The media image is one where the Jewish population is constantly harassed and threatened. This study aims to clarify whether or not there has been an actual increase of anti-Semitism in Malmö, what might be causing it, and with this shed light on modern anti-Semitism. Limiting the scope to investigating the case of Malmö felt natural since the problem of anti-Semitism appears to stand out there when compared to Sweden in general. The source material consists of hate crime statistics from The Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (SNCCP) and seven interviews. The study concludes that even though SNCCP statistics indicate anti-Semitism is a bigger problem in Malmö than in the rest of Sweden, merely taking numbers into account does not do that indication justice; the perceived anti-Semitism of the Jewish population has clearly increased according to the interview subjects. Based on the investigation, these causes of the problem can be established: increased immigration from the Middle East, the Israel-Palestine conflict and reactions triggered by it, anti-Semitic propaganda and opinions spread via various media channels, the integration and segregation problems of Malmö, cultural differences and clashes and finally Malmö’s population being a compact and eclectic composition of people
