Effet in vitro et in vivo de quelques fongicides sur Curvularia lunata

L'étude in vitro de quelques fongicides appartenant à différentes familles chimiques sur les 3 stades de cycle de vie de Curvularia lunata a montré que le tricyclazole est le fongicide le plus efficace sur la croissance mycélienne et sur la sporulation. Le bénomyl, le méthyl-thiophanate et le thiabendazole ont manifesté une activité variable vis-à-vis des stades de vie de ce champignon. In vivo, le traitement des plantes avec 0,5g/l et 0,75g/l de tricyclazole avant et après l’inoculation par ce pathogène assure la protection des plantes de riz contre les manifestations de la curvulariose

Genetic variability in agro-morphological and quality traits of Mediterranean durum wheat landraces

Durum wheat landraces are still cultivated to take advantage of their excellent grain and straw quality, adaptation to abiotic stresses, and extremely wide variety of uses. The safeguarding and rehabilitation of genetic inheritance requires genetic characterization and evaluation. In this study, forty durum wheat landraces originating from Mediterranean countries were evaluated according to agro-morphological and technological properties. We show that the germplasm was highly variable. The mean yellow pigment and protein content was higher in landraces (15.58%; 7.32 ppm) than in the Moroccan cultivars used as controls (14.6%; 5.48 ppm). In addition, principal component analysis identified five groups showing variable agronomic and qualitative characteristics that might be useful in the rational design of breeding programs

Fibromyalgie associée à la gonarthrose : prévalence, caractéristiques épidémiologiques, et son impact sur le traitement: Fibromyalgia associated with knee osteoarthritis: prevalence, epidemiological characteristics, and impact on its treatment

Contexte et objectifs. Les patients souffrant de syndrome fibromyalgique sont fréquemment rencontrés en pratique clinique et déconcertent bien souvent les médecins. Notre étude a pour but de déterminer la prévalence de la fibromyalgie chez les patients gonarthrosiques, son impact sur la présentation clinique et radiologique ainsi sur le cours évolutif de gonarthrose. Méthodes. Il s’agissait d’une étude transversale analytique portant sur les patients atteints de gonarthrose définie selon les critères ACR, suivis au service de rhumatologie de l’hôpital militaire Moulay Ismail à Meknès ; entre novembre 2018 et avril 2019. La fibromyalgie était retenue chez les patients remplissant les critères ACR 2010. Résultats. Au total 101 patients (âge moyen : 57+11,5 ans, femmes : 65,3 % ; surpoids : 35.6% ; et obésité stade 1 (35,6 %) ont été examinés. La prévalence de la fibromyalgie était de 34,7%. Un tiers des patients fibromyalgiques avaient une réponse partielle au traitement (AINS et paracétamol). L’analyse bivariée a montré une association positive avec le sexe féminin (p =0,006) et l’IMC (p=0,017). Par contre on n’a pas noté de relation entre la fibromyalgie, l’âge, le stade radiologique de la gonarthrose, la présence d’un syndrome métabolique, et l’EVA douleur. Conclusion. La fibromyalgie est relativement fréquence chez les patients gonarthrosiques. Sa reconnaissance permet de mieux prendre en charge les patients gonarthrosiques et d’éviter les abus de traitements symptomatiques notamment les AINS. Context and objective. Fibromyalgia syndrome cases are frequent in clinical practice and often disconcert physicians. The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of fibromyalgia in patients with osteoarthritis, and its impact on the clinical and radiological presentation, as well as its evolutionary course. Methods. This was an analytical cross-sectional study including all patients followed for gonarthrosis in the Department of Rheumatology of the Moulay Ismail Military Hospital between November 2018 and April 2019. Fibromyalgia was retained in patients meeting the ACR 2010 criteria. Results. One hundred one patients (57 + 11.5 years old; Women 65.3%; overweight: 35.6%, obesity grade 1: 35.6 %; were examined. The prevalence of fibromyalgia was 34.7%. One third of fibromyalgia patients had a partial response to treatment. The bivariate analysis showed a positive correlation with the female sex (p = 0.006) and the BMI (p = 0.017). There was no correlation between fibromyalgia, age, the radiological class of gonarhtrosis, the presence of metabolic syndrome, and VAS pain. Conclusion. The fibromyalgia is relatively common in patient with gonarthrosis, especially in obese women. Early diagnostic of fibromyalgia offers the possibility of a better management of gonarthrosis patients and thus avoiding the abusive use of symptomatic treatments, notably NSAIDs

Étude de l'état sanitaire des semences du riz

Pour l'étude de la mycoflore des semences de riz, notamment certains champignons parasites, deux méthodes différentes mais complémentaires ont été utilisées: la méthode du buvard et la méthode du buvard modifiée (méthode du buvard combinée à la méthode de la plaque agar). Les résultats ont permis de mettre en évidence 13 espèces appartenant à différents champignons. La méthode du buvard modifiée s’avère plus intéressante et permet de détecter davantage le pourcentage de contamination. Les espèces fongiques les plus fréquentes sont Fusarium moniliforme, Alternaria alternata, Rhizopus nigricans suivies par Aspergillus sp., Trichoderma harzianum, Curvularia lunata et Helminthosporium sp. (H. oryzae, H. spiciferum et H. australiensis)

Effect of site conditions and fertilization treatments on morphological traits and mineral content of Aloe vera plants

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of various fertilizer treatments on the morphological traits and mineral content of Aloe vera plants. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse in Rabat, as well as two other fields in Skhirat and Sidi Bettach. The treatments including the ‘no application’, control F0 and three treatments which is compost (Organova) F1, compost combined with humus (Humivital) F2, and nitrogen (ammonitrate) 33% F3. The productivity of biomass was estimated based on the variables of morphological traits and mineral content. The effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the different variables of Aloe vera depends on the site. Significant effects were found for the most of the variables such as length, width, dry matter; ash content, manganese Mn, copper Cu, zinc Zn, calcium Ca, potassium K, carbon C, nitrogen N, sulfur S contents. Site effect was significant, with the higher values obtained for length, Width, Dry matter, Ash contents, Ca and N in Skhirat. Site effect was also significant for Mn and Cu in Sidi Bettach, and K in the greenhouse. The effect of the treatment F1 was significantly higher for the length and width of the leaves than F3 and the control F0, in addition F2 was significantly higher for the width of the leaves, nitrogen N and sulfur S contents

A REVIEW OF LABORATORY DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF LEPTOSPIROSIS

Leptospirosis is an infectious disease affect human and animal. The diagnosis is challenging due to none specific clinical features, lack of awareness and poor access to health care. Therefore the disease becomes underreported. Early diagnosis is essential because antibiotic treatment is most effective when it is initiated early. However, laboratories tests for early diagnosis still lacking. The disease may be demonstrated by direct or indirect methods. Direct methods are the detection of the organism or its components and indirect methods are the detection of specific antibodies of the organism. This review highlights the major diagnostic techniques in leptospirosis with their advantages and disadvantages as well as the treatment. The search criteria focused on the thesis we obtained and searching in the websites (Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct and LibGen, etc.) using the keywords: leptospirosis, leptospira, zoonotic diseases, PCR, Elisa, MAT, SAT, Darkfield microscopic, leptospirosis diagnostic, leptospira treatment, Doxycycline and tropical diseases
