    Development of Fluid Viscosity Coefficient Apparatus Based On jetAudio and Subtitle Edit

    The purpose of this research was to develop a fluid viscosity coefficient apparatus using computer application that is easily obtained and used, namely jetAudio and Subtitle Edit software. The research was conducted at Physics laboratory in STKIP Singkawang and 5 secondary schools in Singkawang City. The feasibility level of this apparatus is known through validation by experts. Validation was carried out by 3 physics lecturers. The results of the validation stage were used for user tests by 10 STKIP Singkawang students. From the results of the analysis obtained 1) the results of validation by tool experts amounted to 91.1% which were interpreted very good, 2) the results of validation by material and content experts amounted to 91.9% which were interpreted very good, and 3) the results of user tests conducted by students showed the percentage of responses at 71.35% which was interpreted good. Thus the apparatus is feasible to use and can be an alternative in physics learning that can improve students' skills and conceptual understanding

    Students’ Science Process Skills Through Generative Learning Model In the Topic of Light

    Science process skills is important to developing the quality of students’ learning in science. This research aimed to determine the effect of generative learning xmodel on students' science process skills of the topic Light. This type of research was pre-exprimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research consisted of all students of class VIII in SMPN 5 Singkawang City. The research samples consisted of the students of class VIII E the total number of 20 students and the sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The research instrument used in this research was description test. Data were analyzed by using paired t-test. From the calculation results was obtained the value of -tobtained < -tcritical or -21.36 < -2.093, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted at the level of significance α = 0.05. So it can be concluded that there was an effect of generative learning model on students’ science process skills in the topic of Light

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa alat dan pedoman praktikum gerak jatuh bebas dengan stopwatch otomatis sederhana. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang dicetuskan oleh Borg dan Gall. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar kuisioner validasi. Hasil validasi alat praktikum oleh ahli alat sebesar 92,86% yang diinterpretasikan sangat baik. Hasil validasi buku pedoman praktikum oleh ahli materi dan ahli konten sebesar 88,46% yang diinterpretasikan sangat baik. Hasil uji coba lapangan dengan subjek penelitian 15 orang mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Fisika sebesar 87,33% yang diinterpretasikan sangat baik

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model generative learning terhadap hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa pada materi Hukum Newton. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre eksprimental dengan rancangan One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Makarim Al-akhlak Kota Singkawang. Dikarenakan kelas VIII hanya terdiri atas satu kelas, maka teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji paired t-test. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai –thitung < -ttabel yaitu -18,03 < -2,160, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model generative learning terhadap hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa pada materi Hukum Newton

    Correlation of Science Process Skills with Students' Creativity in Learning of Creative Problem Solving Model with an Inquiry Approach on the Simple Harmonic Motion

    This study aimed to determine the correlation of science process skills with students' creativity in learning of creative problem solving model with an inquiry approach on the simple harmonic motion. The study method that was used is a correlation study between science process skills with students' creativity. The sample was chosen by using the purposive sampling technique that total of 34 students in X MIA5 grade of the academic year 2016/2017 in one of the senior high schools in Semarang. The data collection was conducted by using a science process skills test and creativity test in essay form on the simple harmonic motion. Data were analyzed through correlation test by Pearson Product Moment technique and t-test. The results showed the value of r is 0.332 with low category and the value of tcount is 1.992 lower than ttable is 2.042 with a significance level of 5% and df is 32. This indicated that there was no significant correlation between science process skills with students’ creativity in learning of creative problem-solving model with an inquiry approach on the simple harmonic motion. This meant that students with high science process skills do not always show high creativity too in learning of creative problem-solving model with an inquiry approach on the simple harmonic motion

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kecenderungan gaya belajar siswa kelas V SD dalam hal keterampilan berpikir kritis. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri 4 Singkawang yang terdiri dari 3 siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi, 3 siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang, dan 3 siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah untuk dilanjutkan ketahap wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes berupa tes esai dan non tes berupa angket gaya belajar dan pedoman wawancara. Uji keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah uji kredibilitas data dengan cara triangulasi dan menggunakan bahan referensi. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi memiliki kecenderungan gaya belajar auditori, siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang memiliki gaya belajar membaca/menulis, siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah memiliki kecenderungan gaya belajar auditori dan kinestetik

    The Response of High School Students In Singkawang City Towards Physics Learning During Covid-19 Pandemic

    This study aims to get an overview of the responses of high school students throughout Singkawang City about learning physics during the Covid-19 pandemic. This qualitative research uses a survey method. The subjects in this study were all state high school students in Singkawang City. The research sample was taken using the Convenience Sampling technique. Students' responses to learning physics during online learning are less liked by students because of limited internet signals and lack of guidance from teachers when learning online. This makes students less understand the physics material that is explained. The results of this study are, student responses in Very Good category by 2%, in Good category by 3%, while in Moderate category by 16%, and in Bad category by 79%

    Implementation of Google Classroom as Multimedia Learning

    This research was carried out at Musamus University in academic year 2019/2020 by taking a basic physics class I as a research sample. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Google classroom as multimedia learning. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative supported by quantitative data. The instrument used was a material and multimedia expert validation sheet, questions that had been validated to test the effectiveness of implementing Google classroom as learning multimedia. Based on the description above it can be concluded that the implementation of google classroom as multimedia learning with average results of multimedia expert validation of 82.5% and 87% of material experts have a good impact on the learning process and outcomes of students. This is evidenced by an increase in the value of each student with average of pre-test score is 62 and post-test score is 83. N-gain score is 0.75 (high category)

    Students’ Cognitive Learning Outcomes In Simple Machine Subjects Through REACT Learning Model

    This study aims to determine how much improvement in students' cognitive learning outcomes after applying the REACT learning model on simple machine subjects. This type of research is quantitative research in the form of pre-experimental design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Jawai, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. The sample in this study were 25 class VIIIC students, determined by the purposive sampling technique. This research begins with the provision of pretest followed by treatment in the form of application of the REACT learning model and ends with the administration of posttest. From the data analysis, it was found that the cognitive learning outcomes of students experienced an increase of 0.44 based on the N-gain equation with the medium category. The recapitulation results from the attitude scale showed that 87% of students stated that they were better able to understand simple machine subjects using the REACT learning model. It can be concluded that the REACT learning model can improve student learning outcomes on simple machine subjects
