Fluid - Structure - Soil Interaction of Cylindrical Liquid Storage Tank Subjected to Horizontal Earthquake Loading

Shallow founded tanks are strategic structures used to store a variety of kind of liquids. The fluid develops hydrodynamic effect on solid domain of container during an earthquake. This paper provides the theoretical background for numerical model on seismic response of fluid-structure-soil interaction. The Finite Element Method (FEM) was used for seismic response of shallow founded cylindrical container. The Fluid- Structure-Soil interaction of shallow founded tank was analysed according to theories of I. Limit States - the ultimate limit state (ULS) and II. Limit States - the serviceability limit state (SLS) pursuant to EN 1997-1. Summary of the results: the maximum rotation of foundation is growing with the reduction of the stiffness of the subsoil and the vertical and horizontal bearing capacity depends on the strength properties of the subsoil

Import 11/07/2012Hlavným cieľom diplomovej práce bolo zistiť spokojnosť jednotlivých zahraničných zákazníkov a celkovú spokojnosť zahraničných zákazníkov spoločnosti ISMM Production & Business Cooperation s.r.o., ktorá pôsobí na B2B trhu. Čiastkový cieľ práce spočíva v zozbieraní názorov a pripomienok k samotnej spoločnosti, na základe ktorých boli vytvorené návrhy a odporučenia na zlepšenie chodu a zvýšenie spokojnosti zákazníkov. Práca je rozdelená do piatich hlavných kapitol. Prvá kapitola je venovaná teoretickým východiskám merania spokojnosti zákazníkov. Druhá kapitola podrobne charakterizuje spoločnosť ISMM Production & Business Cooperation. Tretiu kapitolu tvorí metodika zberu dát, pričom na zisťovanie potrebných informácií bola použitá metóda marketingového výskumu, konkrétne elektronické dotazníkové šetrenie. Obsahom štvrtej, vzťažnej, kapitoly je analýza dát, za pomoci grafických metód a metód štatistickej analýzy (index spokojnosti zákazníkov). Posledná piata kapitola objasňuje chybné procesy v spoločnosti a poskytuje návrhy na ich odstránenie.The main aim of this diploma thesis is to find out an individual foreign customer satisfaction and their overall satisfaction with company ISMM Production & Business Cooperation s.r.o. ISMM is a company acting on B2B market. A partial aim of this thesis consists of data collection (opinions, suggestions) about the company so then this information helps to create recommendations for improving some company operations as well as providing feedback of customer´ satisfaction. Diploma thesis is divided into five main chapters. The first chapter enlightens theoretical resources of customer satisfaction. The second chapter characterizes company ISMM Production & Business Cooperation s.r.o. in general. The third chapter consists of data collection methodology. At this diploma thesis marketing research method was used, to be specific electronic questionnaire survey. The fourth chapture, the most important one, deals with data analysis (mainly graphic methods and statistic analysis – customer satisfaction index). Zhodnocení a analýza jejich úspěšnosti spolu s vyvozením závěru o jejich budoucnosti a předpokladech působení v Africe se stávají ústředním cílem této práce. The first and foremost requirement for the modelling and design of slope is to guarantee their safety and reliability during their service life. In analysing the overall stability of the ground, of soil or rock, all relevant modes of failure shall be taken into account. When modelling a slope stability processes, it should be considered: soil layering, occurrence and inclination of discontinuities, seepage and pore-water pressure distribution, shortand long-term stability, type of failure (circular or non-circular surface; toppling; flow), using of numerical methods. Influence of soil parameters changes on the bearing capacity of soil

The strength of soil is a key parameter in designing foundations and other earth structures. In shallow foundation design, the capacity of the foundation to support footing load is dependent on the soil’s bearing capacity which is a function of its strength parameters. According to [4], bearing capacity is the maximum pressure that the soil can support at foundation level without failure. Proper interpretation of specific shear strength parameters of clay and the application of this case to bearing capacity problems was presented and reviewed in this paper. The influence of the shear strength parameters of subsoil on its bearing capacity are very important, especially, when changing the angle of internal friction. The results of calculations for low plastic clay subsoil, shown in the work, illustrate exemplary how a level of its bearing capacity can be determined with significant errors when using incorrect shear parameters of soil
