    A study of frequency and pulses for stepper motor controller system by using programmable logic controller

    The stepper motor movement process produced different frequency and pulses. This research explained about the frequency and pulses for the stepper motor movement by using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) as research method. The study was done to find the suitable frequency and pulses for stepper motor movement by developing a prototype stepper motor controller system. The pulse frequency used did not affected the distance of moving load in the stepper motor operations. The increasing number of pulse frequency only will affect the time taken for the stepper motor to complete its operations. The result showed that number of pulse frequency at high operation was 5000 Hz. Pulse number reacted as a manipulated variable that affected both factor which is time taken of stepper motor operation and the distance of moving load

    Canonical form of Hamiltonian matrices

    On the basis of shell model simulations, it is conjectured that the Lanczos construction at fixed quantum numbers defines---within fluctuations and behaviour very near the origin---smooth canonical matrices whose forms depend on the rank of the Hamiltonian, dimensionality of the vector space, and second and third moments. A framework emerges that amounts to a general Anderson model capable of dealing with ground state properties and strength functions. The smooth forms imply binomial level densities. A simplified approach to canonical thermodynamics is proposed.Comment: 4 pages 6 figure

    Mahbub ul Haq's work to coordinate, establish and propagate the human development approach offers an example of effective leadership in promoting more ethical socio-economic development. This article reviews Pioneering the Human Development Revolution-An Intellectual Biography of Mahbub ul Haq (edited by Haq and Ponzio), and extends themes from the United Nations Intellectual History Project to examine Haq's contributions in terms of four aspects of leadership: articulating and applying values that combine depth with broad appeal; providing a fruitful and vivid way of seeing, a 'vision', that reflects the values; embodying the values and vision in workable practical proposals; and supporting and communicating the previous aspects through wide and relevant networks. It suggests that the human development approach may need to update its values and vision, including through better integration of human security thinking, if it is to retain the leadership role it acquired thanks to Haq

    Evolution of the density parameter in the anisotropic DGP cosmology

    Evolution of the density parameter in the anisotropic DGP braneworld model is studied. The role of shear and cross-over scale in the evolution of Ωρ\Omega_\rho is examined for both the branches of solution in the DGP model. The evolution is modified significantly compared to the FRW model and further it does not depend on the value of Îł\gamma alone. Behaviour of the cosmological density parameter Ωρ\Omega_\rho is unaltered in the late universe. The study of decceleration parameter shows that the entry of the universe into self accelerating phase is determined by the value of shear. We also obtain an estimate of the shear parameter ÎŁH0∌1.68×10−10\frac{\Sigma}{H_0} \sim 1.68 \times 10^{-10}, which is in agreement with the constraints obtained in the literature using data.Comment: To apper in Int.J.Mod.Phys.D, 14 pages, 6 figure

    Comparison of Transforming Growth Factor 1 (TGF-ÎČ1) Expression in Various Lysate Platelet-Rich Fibrin (L-PRF) Concentrations on Human Dental Pulp Stem Cell Differentiation

    Objective: To compare Transforming growth factor-ÎČ1 (TGF-ÎČ1) expression in various L-PRF concentrations on the hDPSC differentiation process. Material and Methods: hDPSC cell cultures were subjected to serum starvation by reducing FBS levels in the hDPSC culture media. Lysate PRF was obtained from the PRF gel, which was then incubated at 4°C for 24 h. The supernatant was dried, transferred to a 2-ml Eppendorf tube, and stored at −20°C. The evaluation of TGF-ÎČ1 expression in 1%, 5%, 10%, and 25% L-PRF samples and 10% FBS (control) during the process of hDPSC differentiation was quantified using an ELISA reader on day 7. The expression of TGF-ÎČ1 was subjected to a one-way ANOVA test, followed by Bonferroni’s post hoc test with significant values (p<0.05). Results: Significant differences were noted in TGF-ÎČ1 expression between 1%, 5%, 10%, and 25% L-PRF and the control group (10% FBS). The highest TGF-ÎČ1 expression occurred with 25% L-PRF (0.645 ± 0.048), followed by 10% L-PRF (0.461 ± 0.035), 10% FBS (0.374 ± 0.013), 5% L-PRF (0.275 ± 0.045), and the lowest expression was with 1% L-PRF (0.160 ± 0.045). Conclusion: The best result of TGF-B1 expression in hDPSC differentiation was in the 25% L-PRF group

    THE NEXUS between TRADE LIBERALIZATION and POVERTY: A DISAGGREGATED ANALYSIS

    Decades after trade liberalization, poverty among the developing countries has continued to rise as their economies adjust to fierce and increasing external competition. This study investigates the impact of the 1988 trade reforms on poverty in Pakistan using micro-level data from 1990 to 2005. Using the feasible generalized least squares (FGLS) model in panel setting to address the problem of heteroskedasticity, we explored the impact of trade liberalization on the poverty level in Pakistan. The findings reveal that reductions in import tariffs have increased Pakistan s level of poverty. Our findings are robust and impervious to different poverty measures (i.e., headcount ratio, poverty gap, and squared poverty gap). Also, it was observed that lagged trade policies are associated with poverty in Pakistan. The rise in poverty may be attributed to the lower participation of the poor in external markets. It is recommended that policymakers enact policies that will encourage poor people to participate in external markets if they wish to benefit from trade liberalization. © 2022 AESS Publications.     Modeling Complex Nuclear Spectra - Regularity versus Chaos

    A statistical analysis of the spectrum of two particle - two hole doorway states in a finite nucleus is performed. On the unperturbed mean-field level sizable attractive correlations are present in such a spectrum. Including particle-hole rescattering effects via the residual interaction introduces repulsive dynamical correlations which generate the fluctuation properties characteristic of the Gaussian Orthogonal Ensemble. This signals that the underlying dynamics becomes chaotic. This feature turns out to be independent of the detailed form of the residual interaction and hence reflects the generic nature of the fluctuations studied.Comment: 8 pages of text (LATEX), figures (not included, available from the authors), Feb 9

    Combinatorial nuclear level density by a Monte Carlo method

    We present a new combinatorial method for the calculation of the nuclear level density. It is based on a Monte Carlo technique, in order to avoid a direct counting procedure which is generally impracticable for high-A nuclei. The Monte Carlo simulation, making use of the Metropolis sampling scheme, allows a computationally fast estimate of the level density for many fermion systems in large shell model spaces. We emphasize the advantages of this Monte Carlo approach, particularly concerning the prediction of the spin and parity distributions of the excited states, and compare our results with those derived from a traditional combinatorial or a statistical method.
