    The Anting-anting (Acalypha indica L.) plant of the tribal Euphorbiaceae is one type of plant commonly used as a medicinal plant. The Purpose of This study is to get the morphology data, anatomy, organoleptic, physical determination of powders, powder ekstrabilitas determination, identification of chemical reactions and thin layer chromatography of Anting-anting (Acalypha indica L.) plant. Extraction of Anting-anting (Acalypha indica L.) leaf is using 96% ethanol by maceration method. Longitudinal slices showed stomata leaf anatomy anisositik type. Fisic desition include 16,36 % decision of dust level 5,16% decision of unsoluble dust in acid level. Decision of cansentrate level that include 25,16% consentrate level of water soluble and 26,36% consentrate level of etanol soluble.     Essential ingredients comfounds in roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) petals is anthocyanin pigments which include flavonoid that acts as an antioxidant. The aim of this research is to determine content of total phenolic of red roselle flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) ethanol extract. Sample as many one kilograms extracted by maceration method using ethanol 96%. Resulty 127,03 grams extract. Total phenolic content determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometer at wavelenght 737 nm with gallic acid equivalent as standard reference with Folin-Ciocalteau reagent. The result show the rendamen of ethanolic extract is 12.703% with total phenolic content is 0.1853%

    Sea holly leaves (Acanthus ilicifolius L.) belongs to Acanthaceae family, contain flavonoid compounds, alkaloids, an phenols. This research aimed to determine the antioxidant activity of sea holly leaf extract by free radical damping method 1,1-Diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazil (DPPH). The extraction method multilevel maseration using n-hexane extract, ethyl acetate extract, and ethanol extract is 1,55%, 0,65% and 4,97% respectively. On each extract, the antioxidant activity was assayed by DPPH free radical inhibition method by measuring is absorbance at the maximum wavelength of 515nm using UV-VIS spectrophometer with quercetin compound as comparator. The result of antioxidant assay showed that IC50 value, ethanol extract is 34,659 μg/mL (strong antioxidant), ethyl acetate extract is 162,512 μg/mL (weak antioxidant), n-hexane extract is361,730 μg/mL (not active as antioxidant)

    Syzygium jambos Alston adalah tumbuhan dari suku Myrtaceae. Secara tradisional daun dan awetan bunga biasanya digunakan sebagai obat penenang, kulit kayu dan bijinya  dapat mengobati demam, diare dan disentri. Buah dan kulit batang  mengandung saponin,  flavonoid  dan tannin, di samping itu daun dan buahnya mengandung polifenol. Namun penelitian kandungan kimia tumbuhan yang bermanfaat tersebut  di Indonesia  masih sedikit dilaporkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menetapkan senyawa fitokimia dan mengkarakterisasi simplisia daun S. jambos. Dilakukan pengambilan sampel dan pengolahan simplisia daun jambu mawar kemudian dilakukan ekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut dengan kepolaran bertingkat (n-heksana, etil asetat, dan metanol). Dilakukan karakterisasi serbuk simplisia meliputi penetapan kadar air, penetapan kadar abu total dan kadar abu tidak larut asam, penetapan susut pengeringan serta penetapan kadar sari larut air dan etanol. Pemeriksaan kandungan kimia alkaloid: menggunakan pereaksi Dragendroff dan Mayer; flavonoid:  menggunakan pereaksi serbuk magnesium, HCl 2 N serta amil alcohol; tannin : diberikan pereaksi FeCl3, larutan gelatin 1% dan Steasny; fenol : ditetesi larutan FeCl3 10%; saponin: ditambahkan beberapa tetes asam klorida 2 N; steroid/triterpenoid: diteteskan pereaksi Liebermann-Burchard. Diperoleh nilai kadar air 8,33 ±1,52, kadar abu total 7,64 ±0,08 dan kadar abu tidak larut asam 5,41 ±0,15, susut pengeringan 15,33 ±4,04, kadar sari larut air 20,90 ±0,56 serta kadar sari larut etanol 22,43 ±1,35.     Empirically, the Indonesian people have used medicinal plants to cure various diseases. Ethnopharmaceutical studies were carried out as an effort to maintain knowledge of medicinal plants in the community, especially in Simbang District. This study aims to obtain data and information related to medicinal plants used as antihypertensives by the community in Simbang District, Maros Regency. This study was a survey study using a descriptive observational method where sampling uses purposive sampling techniques through interviews and questionnaire distribution. The results obtained were 17 species, 15 families and 16 genera that were used as antihypertensives. Plant parts used as antihypertensives were leaves, fruits, seeds, rhizomes and tubers.     Green caviar (Caulerpa lentillifera J. Agardh) contains substances which potentially act as antioxidant. This research aim to determine the antioxidant activity of Green caviar extract using free radical scavenging method by 1,1-Diphenyl-2 Picrylhydrazil (Dpph). Green caviar was extracted with sequences extraction using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and etanol 96% with the yield value for n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol are 2.256%, 4.176%, 5.548% respectively. Furthermore, the chemical contents of each extract were identified using phytochemical screening and TLC qualitative test with n-hexane : ethyl acetate ( 8 : 2 ) as mobile phase and silica gel 60 F254 as stationary phase. The results showed that each green caviar extract has antioxidant activity with IC50 value of n- hexane extract 61.057 μg/mL identified as moderate antioxidant (50-100 μg/mL) ethyl acetate extract 41.756 μg/mL included as strong antioxidant (10-50 μg/mL), and ethanol 96 % which is 52.116 μg/mL classified as moderate antioxidant (50-100 μg/mL). Ethyl acetate is the best solvent to be used to extracting the antioxidant compounds of Green caviar
