    Work-related satisfaction - causes and manifestation

    Bachelor thesis summarizes knowledge from the psychology of work and organization field, in particular from the field of job satisfaction. The theoretical part covers different approaches to job satisfaction and its characteristics. In introduction apart from basic terminology important theoretical approaches to work satisfaction (e.g. single-factor and double-factor theories) are presented. Further the main focus is on factors related to job satisfaction such as age, seniority, gender, education and salary. Also the effect of job satisfaction on phenomena such as work motivation, work performance, fluctuation and absenteeism is mentioned. The final chapter of theoretical part of the work is focused on the methods of job satisfaction evaluation in the Czech Republic as well as in the world. The theoretical part of the work is followed by empirical part which designs a research project of job satisfaction in actual organization. Research project is divided into two parts.     Pracovní spokojenost z pohledu osobnostních determinant člověka Diplomová práce se zabývá souvislostí pracovní spokojenosti s determinanty osobnosti (vlastnosti osobnosti, rysy, demografické činitele). Práce vychází z předpokladu, že pracovní spokojenost má fundament v osobnosti a vyplývá tedy z převažujícího zaměření osobnosti, které vychází mj. i z životního nastavení jedince. Teoretická část práce obsahuje vymezení pojmu pracovní spokojenosti, popis konkrétních teorií pracovní spokojenosti a jejích faktorů. Dále je v práci zmíněn vliv spokojenosti zaměstnanců na pracovní výkon, fluktuaci a na další jevy, které se k pracovní spokojenosti váží. Práce obsahuje také dosavadní empirické zjištění a metodiku zjišťování pracovní spokojenosti. V empirické části práce je ověřován zejména vztah osobnosti a pracovní spokojenosti a vztah osobnosti a životní spokojenosti jedince. Výsledky, v souladu s dosavadními šetřeními, osobnost jako významný prediktor pracovní spokojenosti, potvrzují. Dále se ukázalo, že osobnost (neuroticismus) je také významná pro celkovou životní spokojenost jedince. Studie neprokázala rozdíly v pracovní spokojenosti u seniority v zaměstnání, věku, pohlaví a rodinného stavu. Klíčová slova: Pracovní spokojenost, osobnostní rysy, faktory pracovní spokojenosti, životní spokojenost.Job satisfaction in terms of the determinants of human The thesis is focused on connection between job satisfaction and personality determinants (personality traits, personality features, demographic factors). The thesis is based on the assumption that job satisfaction is founded in personality and therefore results from dominating personality orientation, which is among other factors based on overall life attitude. Theoretical part of the theses defines the term job satisfaction and describes specific theories of job satisfaction and its factors. Further in this part connection between job satisfaction and work performance, work fluctuation and other phenomes related to job satisfaction are mentioned. Chapter also includes recent empirical findings and methodology of job satisfaction evaluation. In the empirical part the relation between personality and job satisfaction as well as relation between personality and well-being is examined. The results confirm personality as a significant predictor of job satisfaction, which is in line with recent research. Furthermore, the results show that personality (neuroticism) is also significant for overall life satisfaction of person. The study did not confirm differences in job satisfaction connected to seniority, age, gender or family status.     Morphology, Biology and Control Possibilities of Two Argyresthia species – A. thuiella and A. trifasciata (Lepidoptera: Argyresthiidae)

    The bionomics of Argyresthia thuiella (Packard, 1871) and A. trifasciata Staudinger, 1871 was studied on ornamental conifers in southern Moravia, Czech Republic. Argyresthia thuiella overwinters as caterpillar inside twigs and pupates the following spring there. Moths are on the wing during June until the beginning of July. Argyresthia trifasciata adults were observed from mid May till the beginning of June. Its larvae reach the stage of maturity from October to December. They pupate in the debris under trees. Both species develop one generation annually. Argyresthia thuiella was found on Thuja occidentalis, T. plicata and Chamaecyparis lawsoniana; A. trifasciata on Juniperus virginiana, J. chinensis, J. sabina, J. × media, J. squamata and J. horizontalis. Both species cause mainly aesthetic damage to plants. Stronger attack of Argyresthia may cause damage to trees. Control possibilities were tested on both species. The chaetotaxy of these species was first done in this experiment

    This diploma theses deals with the financial management and development of the selected municipality. Specifically, this work was created for the town called Ždánice, located in the South Moravian Region. The aim of the thesis was to find out how the municipality financially managed in 2011-2015 and which development activities were already implemented according to the City Development Program for the period 2016-2024. The thesis is divided into two main parts, namely the literary research and the work results. In the literary research part the concepts related to the municipality, with the regional development and SWOT analysis are described. In the work results part aspects related to Ždánice city, demographic indicators, indicators of economy, SWOT analysis and fulfilment of development activities with own proposals of development activities are analyzed

    What is the Internet Language Guide and how work with it

    The Internet Language Guide (ILG) was made accessible in January 2009. In creating it, the linguists of the Institute of the Czech Language (ICL) built on their experience of the language advising. This public service belongs to notable activities of the ICL. The dictionary part of the ILG contains more than 102 000 entries at present, the explanatory part focuses mainly on the phenomena which repeatedly are the subject of questions of the Czech language users. At the beginning of 2014, the ILG was interconnected with the Dictionary of the Literary Czech Language (more than 192 908 entries) and with the Dictionary of Literary Czech for School and Public (approx. 48 000 entries)

    Even 30 species of Argyresthia have been recorded in the Czech Republic. Several species are pests of fruit or ornamental trees. Argyresthia thuiella (Packard, 1871) and A. trifasciata (Staudinger, 1871) are species that have been imported into our country from other geographic areas. Monitoring Argyresthia thuiella and A. trifasciata was carried out in the castle park of Lednice, arboretum of the Mendel University in Brno, arboretum in Nový Dvůr and in the village Jelenice in 2007--2010. Argyresthia thuiella (Packard, 1871) overwinters as caterpillar inside twigs, it pupates in the following spring there. Moths are on the wing during June, up to the beginning of July.
