    Extremal functions for the anisotropic Sobolev inequalities

    The existence of multiple nonnegative solutions to the anisotropic critical problem - \sum_{i=1}^{N} \frac{\partial}{\partial x_i} (| \frac{\partial u}{\partial x_i} |^{p_i-2} \frac{\partial u}{\partial x_i}) = |u|^{p^*-2} u {in} \mathbb{R}^N is proved in suitable anisotropic Sobolev spaces. The solutions correspond to extremal functions of a certain best Sobolev constant. The main tool in our study is an adaptation of the well-known concentration-compactness lemma of P.-L. Lions to anisotropic operators. Futhermore, we show that the set of nontrival solutions \calS is included in L(RN)L^\infty(\R^N) and is located outside of a ball of radius τ>0\tau >0 in Lp(RN)L^{p^*}(\R^N)

LHMH gratefully acknowledges financial support from CONACYT (Projects CB2015-257823) and to the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo.Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on triphenylamine (TPA) as a donor group linked with the acceptor cyanoacrylic acid electron acceptor by 2,2'-bithiophene as π-bridged (D-π-A) has been investigated by Density Functional Theory (DFT) at the B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) level of theory, to establish the conformational orientation of cyanoacrylic acid group as well as evaluate the effect of planarizing the 2,2'-bithiophene unit in position 3 and 3' by electron withdrawing or donor groups on the electronic structure properties of ground and doping(n,p) states. Also, the Time Dependent Density Functional Theory (TD-DFT) at the CPCM-TD-CAM-B3LYP//CAM-B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) level of theory were selected to modulate the electronic absorption spectra and charge-transfer capabilities of the molecules analyzed in the present work. The results indicate that adding an auxiliary donor or withdrawing group to the 2,2'-bithiophene in the (D-π-A) arrangement allow to modify the LUMO's energy of the dyes, while the HOMO's energy is slightly affected. © 2018 Sociedade Brasileira de Quimica.     Internal Cash Flows, Insider Ownership, Investment Opportunity, Dan Capital Expenditures: Suatu Pengujian Terhadap Hipotesis Pecking Order Dan Managerial

    The objectives of this study are to observe the impact of internal cash flows, insider ownership, and investment opportunity on the capital expenditure in two different theories. Those theories are: (1) the pecking order hypothesis and (2) the managerial hypothesis, tested in Indonesian case.On the one hand, the pecking order hypothesis postulates that managers can choose the level of capital expenditure to maximize the wealth of current shareholders without considering insider ownership in the company. On the other hand, according to the managerial hypothesis, managers whose ownership proportions are small tend to use higher level of internal cash flows to finance the capital expenditure than that which would maximize the wealth of current shareholders.This study is predicated on Griner and Gordon\u27s study (1995) and focused on manufacturing companies listed in BEJ. The data used in this study are taken from the period of 1993-1996. There are 64 companies chosen based on purposive sampling.The result of this study shows that the internal cash flows and the investment opportunity have positive and significant impact on the capital expenditures. However, the impact of insider ownerships on the capital expenditures is not significant. Eventually, this study substantiates the pecking order hypothesis

    . زمینه و هدف: هیپر بیلی روبینمی از بیماری های شایع دوران نوزادی می باشد و تشخیص به موقع آن از نظر پیشگیری از عوارض، اهمیت بسیار زیادی دارد. هدف این مطالعه تعیین ارتباط بین آلفافیتوپروتئین بند ناف با هیپر بیلی روبینمی روز سوم تولد بود. روش بررسی: در این مطالعه توصیفی- تحلیلی 120 نوزاد تازه متولد شده به صورت آسان وارد مطالعه شدند. بعد از تولد نوزاد، نمونه خون از بندناف تهیه و غلظت آلفافیتوپروتئین سرم توسط تکنیک های ELISA اندازه گیری شد. در روز سوم تولد برای تعیین سطح بیلی روبین از هر نوزاد 5/1 سی سی خون گرفته شد. روش جمع آوری اطلاعات، ثبت مقادیر آزمایشگاهی در فرم مربوطه و تکمیل مشخصات دموگرافیک در پرسشنامه بود. داده ها با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS و آزمون های آماری اسپیرمن و تی تست مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند. یافته ها: نتایج نشان داد میانگین وزن نوزادان مورد بررسی 23/356 ± 75/3048 گرم، میانگین مقدار آلفافیتوپروتئین 20/14 ± 63/70 میکروگرم در لیتر و میانگین مقدار بیلی روبین 37/3 ± 21/10 میلی گرم در دسی لیتر بود. بین وزن و مقادیر آلفافیتوپروتئین نوزادان ارتباط معنی داری مشاهده نشد (05/0P>) اما بین وزن و مقدار بیلی روبین در روز سوم بعد تولد ارتباط معکوس و معنی داری وجود داشت (28/0- =r، 05/0>P) همچنین ارتباط معنی دار و مستقیم بین بیلی روبین و آلفافیتوپروتئین دیده شد (15/0=r، 05/0>P). نتیجه گیری: این مطالعه حاکی از وجود ارتباط آماری آلفافیتوپروتئین و بیلی روبین بود، لذابا انجام مطالعات دیگر در این زمینه در صورت کشف ارتباط آماری قوی تر بین آلفافیتوپروتئین بندناف و هیپربیلی روبینمی نوزادی، می توان نمونه گیری از بندناف را جهت غربالگری هیپربیلی روبینمی و زردی نوزاد انجام داد

    Tuning the electronic, photophysical and charge transfer properties of small D-A molecules based on Thienopyrazine-terthienyls by changing the donor fragment: A DFT study

    Indexación: Scopus.Four acceptor-donor organic conjugated molecules based on thieno[3,4-b]pyrazine-terthienyls were analyzed in order to explore the effect of the donor substituent on their molecular structures, electronic and optical properties. Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Time-Dependent Density Functional Theory (TD/DFT) calculations were carried out employing the B3LYP hybrid functional in combination with the 6-31G(d,p) basis set. The results suggests that the addition of electron-donating substituents to the conjugated molecules can diminish their energy gap value, which is beneficial to the photon harvesting. The lowest-lying absorption spectra of compounds substituted with electron donor groups exhibited a red-shift and a high oscillation factor compared with the unsubstituted molecule. Additionally, the ionization potential (IP), electron affinity (EA), reorganization energy (λ) and open-circuit voltage (Voc) of the molecules were evaluated.     Gaussian-shaped Optical Frequency Comb Generation for Microwave Photonic Filtering

    Using only electro-optic modulators, we generate a 41-line 10-GHz Gaussian-shaped optical frequency comb. We use this comb to demonstrate apodized microwave photonic filters with greater than 43-dB sidelobe suppression without the need for a pulse shaper.Comment: 3 pages, 4 figure
