;---This research “The effect of labor discipline on the performance of teachers in the District small hole SMA in Bandung”. Problem in this research is how much influence the discipline of work on teacher performance. In general, this study aims to determine a clear picture of work-related discipline influence the performance of teacher the District small hole SMA in Bandung. The method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach. Data collection techniques using closed questionnaire with 5 rating scale (Likert) distributed in 56 high school teachers in the country districts as a small hole sample. The calculation results by using Weighted Means Scored (WMS),general trend shows that the average propensity variable X (Work Discipline) is the excellent category, and the average tendency of variable Y (Teacher Performance) is the excellent category. Results of testing the normality of the data distribution that the variables X and Y variables with normal distribution. Correlation coefficient there are shows that a strong relationship between the variables X and Y variables, as well as the significance test which proved significant. Acquition analysis of determination of 40,5%, this suggests that the influence of labor discipline on teacher performance was 40,5% and the rest influenced by other factors. Conclusions of this analysis, the influence of positive and significant correlation between discipline of work on teacher performance in SMA Bandung District of small hole it can be proven statistical calculations

Objective to describe first-time fathers experiences of their prenatal preparation in relation to challenges met in the early parenthood period. Design a qualitative study was conducted and data was analysed with a phenomenographical approach. Setting and participants 15 first-time fathers were recruited from three postnatal units in southern Sweden and interviewed approximately one month after their baby was born. Measurements and findings three categories and 14 conceptions about fathers' experiences of their preparation emerged from the data. ‘Acquiring knowledge and forming realistic expectations' was essential for ‘Developing strategies' and ‘Being facilitated and supported' enhanced these processes. Key conclusions and implications for practice supporting fathers to develop strategies for life with a new baby and providing expert guidance to fruitful and accurate information may help the construction of a fatherhood identity and strengthen the fatherhood role. The findings can be used to develop a parental preparation for early parenthood that will correspond to fathers' needs

Telepresence robotic technology support for social connectedness during treatment of children with cancer

Children with cancer experience fragmented school attendance during treatment. Telepresence robots that connect them with school during treatment periods were explored through an intervention involving participant observation followed by semi-structured interviews from 2020–22 with children with cancer, their class teachers, and classmates. We used an abductive approach, inspired by the Agential Realism theory and Situational Analysis. The use of telepresence robots in education enables hospitalized children to actively participate in real-time social activities with their classmates. However, consistent monitoring is necessary to ensure the success of this integration process as the classmates can lose interest in providing support to a child with cancer.</p

Complex interventions to improve health outcomes - from theory to clinical implication

Adverse conditions in childhood manifest in a risk for long-term illness and poor labour market performance in the future and add to future health problems. Children and young people in need of care are particularly vulnerable as their future depends on their parents and family and the legal system as well as on social welfare. By identifying their needs we can develop new and relevant knowledge and explore new ways of providing high quality healthcare and social services. Complex interventions, defined as interventions with several interacting components, are widely used in the health service. We use the framework of Medical Research Council (MRC, 2008) for developing, evaluation and implementing complex interventions in paediatric care. The framework includes four phases – Development of the intervention– Feasibility/Piloting - develop an understanding for the different parts in the intervention – Evaluation– the intervention is tested (RCT with adequate power, randomisation and outcome variables)– Implementation– study the “real-life effectiveness” for the intervention.By the use of the framework and based on the child’s and the family’s needs and in terms of evidence-based knowledge on how to support families with long-term ill children we have developed, evaluated and implemented complex interventions for children, which led to a better allocation of both family and health care resources. For example, hospital-based home care for children with cancer and newly diagnosed with diabetes. By the use of age appropriate preparation we have reduced the number of children who need anesthesia for magnetic resonance imaging
