Investigating Supply Chain Management in the Chinese Textile and Apparel Industry
The purpose of this study is to investigate supply chain management (SCM) issues in the Chinese textile and apparel (T&A) industry. Specifically, the study explores SCM practices, and the barriers to managing supply chain, as well as the impact of SCM socialization practices, inter-organizational communication practices, and information technology applications on buyer-supplier relationships. China is a major player in the global T&A industry, however to the researchers\u27 best knowledge, no empirical research has been done on global SCM issues from the perspective of professionals in the Chinese T&A industry. The study aims to fill this gap
Perceptions of negative workplace gossip:a self-consistency theory framework
We present and test a self-consistency theory framework for gossip: that perceived negative workplace gossip influences our self-perceptions and, in turn, this influences our behaviors. Using supervisor-subordinate dyadic time-lagged data (n = 403), we demonstrated that perceived negative workplace gossip adversely influenced target employees’ organization-based self-esteem, which, in turn, influenced their citizenship behavior directed at the organization and at its members. Moreover, by integrating victimization theory into our framework, we further demonstrated that negative affectivity, an individual’s dispositional tendency, not only moderated the self-consistency process but also predicted perceived negative workplace gossip. Our study therefore shifts attention to the target of negative workplace gossip and in doing so offers a promising new direction for future research. Implications to theory and practice are discussed
Decoupling and antiresonance in electronic transport through a quantum dot chain embodied in an Aharonov-Bohm interferometer
Electronic transport through a quantum dot chain embodied in an Aharonov-Bohm
interferometer is theoretically investigated. In such a system, it is found
that only for the configurations with the same-numbered quantum dots
side-coupled to the quantum dots in the arms of the interferometer, some
molecular states of the quantum dot chain decouple from the leads. Namely, in
the absence of magnetic flux all odd molecular states decouple from the leads,
but all even molecular states decouple from the leads when an appropriate
magnetic flux is introduced. Interestingly, the antiresonance position in the
electron transport spectrum is independent of the change of the decoupled
molecular states. In addition, when considering the many-body effect within the
second-order approximation, we show that the emergence of decoupling gives rise
to the apparent destruction of electron-hole symmetry. By adjusting the
magnetic flux through either subring, some molecular states decouple from one
lead but still couple to the other, and then some new antiresonances occur.Comment: 7 pages, 7 figure
Learned Smartphone ISP on Mobile GPUs with Deep Learning, Mobile AI & AIM 2022 Challenge: Report
The role of mobile cameras increased dramatically over the past few years,
leading to more and more research in automatic image quality enhancement and
RAW photo processing. In this Mobile AI challenge, the target was to develop an
efficient end-to-end AI-based image signal processing (ISP) pipeline replacing
the standard mobile ISPs that can run on modern smartphone GPUs using
TensorFlow Lite. The participants were provided with a large-scale Fujifilm
UltraISP dataset consisting of thousands of paired photos captured with a
normal mobile camera sensor and a professional 102MP medium-format FujiFilm
GFX100 camera. The runtime of the resulting models was evaluated on the
Snapdragon's 8 Gen 1 GPU that provides excellent acceleration results for the
majority of common deep learning ops. The proposed solutions are compatible
with all recent mobile GPUs, being able to process Full HD photos in less than
20-50 milliseconds while achieving high fidelity results. A detailed
description of all models developed in this challenge is provided in this

State convergence and keyspace reduction of the Mixer stream cipher
This paper presents an analysis of the stream cipher Mixer, a bit-based cipher with structural components similar to the well-known Grain cipher and the LILI family of keystream generators. Mixer uses a 128-bit key and 64-bit IV to initialise a 217-bit internal state. The analysis is focused on the initialisation function of Mixer and shows that there exist multiple key-IV pairs which, after initialisation, produce the same initial state, and consequently will generate the same keystream. Furthermore, if the number of iterations of the state update function performed during initialisation is increased, then the number of distinct initial states that can be obtained decreases. It is also shown that there exist some distinct initial states which produce the same keystream, resulting in a further reduction of the effective key spac

On Applications of Spiking Neural P Systems
Over the years, spiking neural P systems (SNPS) have grown into a popular model in membrane computing because of their diverse range of applications. In this paper, we give a comprehensive summary of applications of SNPS and its variants, especially highlighting power systems fault diagnoses with fuzzy reasoning SNPS. We also study the structure and workings of these models, their comparisons along with their advantages and disadvantages. We also study the implementation of these models in hardware. Finally, we discuss some new ideas which can further expand the scope of applications of SNPS models as well as their implementations
