Data organization and I/O in a parallel ocean circulation model
We describe an efficient and scalable parallel I/0 strategy for writing out gigabytes of data generated hourly in the ocean model simulations on massively parallel distributed-memory architectures. Working with Modular Ocean Model, using net CIF file system? and implemented on Cray T3E, the strategy speedup I/0 by a factor of 50 in the sequential case. In parallel case, on 8 PEs up to 256 PEs, our implementation writes out most model dynamic fields of about 1GB to a single netCDF file in 65 seconds, independent of the number of processors. The remap-and-write parallel strategy resolves the memory limitation problem and requires minimal collective I/0 capability of the file system. Several critical optimization on memory management and file access are carried out which ensure this scalability and also speedup the numerical simulation due to improved memory management
An improved study of the kappa resonance and the non-exotic wave scatterings up to GeV of LASS data
We point out that the dispersion relation for the left hand cut integral
presented in one of our previous paper (Nucl. Phys. {\bf A}733(2004)235) is
actually free of subtraction constant, even for unequal mass elastic
scatterings. A new fit to the LASS data~\cite{Aston} is performed and firm
evidence for the existence of pole is found. The correct use of
analyticity also put strong constraints on threshold parameters -- which are
found to be in good agreement with those obtained from chiral theories. We also
determined the pole parameters of on the second sheet, and
reconfirm the existence of on the third sheet. We stress that the
LASS data do not require them to have the twin pole structure of a typical

Continuing our previous work(JHEP 0706:030,2007), large-- techniques and
partial wave dispersion relations are used to discuss scattering
amplitudes. We get a set of predictions for low-energy chiral
perturbation theory couplings. They are provided in terms of the masses and
decay widths of scalar and vector mesons.Comment: 7 page
The Constraints of Unitary on Scattering Dispersion Relations
A new dispersion relation for the partial wave scattering matrix
is set up. Using the dispersion relation we generalize the single channel
unitarity condition, , to the entire complex plane, which is
equivalent to the generalized unitarity condition in quantum mechanics. The
pole positions of the resonance and the resonance are
estimated based on the theoretical relations we obtained. The central value of
the pole position is MeV, MeV, obtained after including the the constraint of the Adler zero

The resonance in s wave scatterings
A new unitarization approach incorporated with chiral symmetry is established
and applied to study the elastic scatterings. We demonstrate that the
resonance exists, if the scattering length parameter in the I=1/2, J=0
channel does not deviate much from its value predicted by chiral perturbation
theory. The mass and width of the resonance is found to be
, , obtained by fitting the
LASS data up to 1430MeV. Better determination to the pole parameters is
possible if the chiral predictions on scattering lengths are taken into

Measurements of the observed cross sections for exclusive light hadrons containing at , 3.650 and 3.6648 GeV
By analyzing the data sets of 17.3, 6.5 and 1.0 pb taken,
respectively, at , 3.650 and 3.6648 GeV with the BES-II
detector at the BEPC collider, we measure the observed cross sections for
, , ,
and at the three energy
points. Based on these cross sections we set the upper limits on the observed
cross sections and the branching fractions for decay into these

Partial wave analysis of J/\psi \to \gamma \phi \phi
Using events collected in the BESII detector, the
radiative decay is
studied. The invariant mass distribution exhibits a near-threshold
enhancement that peaks around 2.24 GeV/.

By analyzing the data sets of 17.3 pb taken at GeV
and 6.5 pb taken at GeV with the BESII detector at the
BEPC collider, we have measured the observed cross sections for 12 exclusive
light hadron final states produced in annihilation at the two energy
points. We have also set the upper limits on the observed cross sections and
the branching fractions for decay to these final states at 90%
