O TEATRO NO CONTEXTO DA DIVULGAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA:: MUITO PRATICADO, AINDA POUCO COMPREENDIDO

Science communication initiatives that mix science and theater proliferate in various parts of the world, including Brazil.However, research on the subject is still young, scarce and fragile, so that little is known about its characteristics andits reception among different audiences. This makes it difficult to understand them in all their richness and complexityand to know how exactly theater has contributed to the dialogue between science and society. Based on an immersionin practice and research on the subject, in this essay we make a critical reflection on theater in the context of scientificdissemination.Las iniciativas de divulgación científica que mezclan ciencia y teatro proliferan en varias partes del mundo, inclusoen Brasil. Sin embargo, la producción académica sobre el tema es aún joven, escasa y frágil, por lo que poco se sabesobre sus características y su recepción entre los diferentes públicos. Esto dificulta comprenderlas en toda su riqueza ycomplejidad y saber cómo el teatro ha contribuido exactamente al diálogo entre la ciencia y la sociedad. A partir de unainmersión en la práctica y la investigación sobre el tema, en este ensayo hacemos una reflexión crítica sobre el teatroen el contexto de la divulgación científica.As iniciativas de divulgação científica que mesclam ciência e teatro proliferam em várias partes do mundo, inclusive no Brasil. No entanto, a produção acadêmica sobre o tema ainda é jovem, escassa e frágil, de modo que ainda se conhece pouco suas características e sua recepção entre diferentes públicos. Isto torna difícil compreendê-las em toda a sua riqueza e complexidade e saber como exatamente o teatro tem contribuído para o diálogo entre ciência e sociedade. A partir de uma imersão na prática e na pesquisa sobre o tema, fazemos neste ensaio uma reflexão crítica sobre o teatro no contexto da divulgação científica

Here we report that Lys-48-linked ubiquitination of the transcription factor KLF4 mediated by the E3 ligase Mule promotes T-cell entry into S phase. Mule is elevated in T cells upon TCR engagement, and Mule deficiency in T cells blocks proliferation because KLF4 accumulates and drives upregulation of its transcriptional targets E2F2 and the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors p21 and p27. T-cell-specific Mule knockout (TMKO) mice develop exacerbated experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), show impaired generation of antigen-specific CD8+ T cells with reduced cytokine production, and fail to clear LCMV infections. Thus, Mule-mediated ubiquitination of the novel substrate KLF4 regulates T-cell proliferation, autoimmunity and antiviral immune responses in vivo
